The pictures make the furnishings appear nicer than they are. The linings and utensils are very old. The property has a strange smell. Other than those items it suited us well.

Condo itself was very clean. Easy location to use Uber or walk to neighborhood convenience stores. BUT this property is located almost on the corer of an extremely BUSY 4 lane road and intersects with another busy road. The traffic noise is terrible day and night. Wasn't easy to listen to TV or sleep in front bedroom. Disappointed that this wasn't mentioned in listing.

This home worked out perfectly for our trip to DC. The location worked well for us, as our son lives just around the corner. There are corner grocery stores, a great wine shop, local bars and a few small restaurants within walking distance. The closest metro stop is over a mile away, so we used Uber to get around town. Furnishings were comfortable. The house is on a busy street, and during the day, the street noise is very noticeable, but it quiets down at night.

Unit was a bit hard to find, as it is now painted canary yellow (pictures make it look cream), but once found, the unit was clean and well appointed. Location is good. We Ubered into the city and out with no issue. We truly enjoyed our stay!!

We came to Washington D.C. on a trip with our granddaughters and stayed in Sherman's property for five nights. It is a two story townhouse with plenty of room for four people. It is clean and well appointed and very comfortable. We took Uber everywhere, which is really the way to go in D.C., due to the lack of parking available and we were able to get a ride right outside our door.
If you are planning on staying at this property, make sure and explore the area of 1st street, which is about two blocks from the townhouse. There are several restaurants, a coffee shop and bakery in one spot and we did not find it until our last day in DC. There is a Thai/Japanese Restaurant, a Bistro and a Seafood/Steak restaurant within a block of each other. We also used UBER eats to deliver food and had a local grocery store deliver basic supplies for our stay.
I called Sherman and interacted with him by email and he was very responsive to any of our questions or needs. We would definitely stay there again...and plan to do just that!!

We had a party of 4 (two couples) come into DC for a few days to sight see and visit with family. The house was very clean and well equip to make our stay great. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We really enjoyed the suggestion of our host to have groceries delivered. We used Uber to get downtown DC everyday. It averaged between $10 and $25 dollars to do so, depending on the traffic and time of day.
I will note the the front bedroom is very noisy (street traffic), so I would put heavy sleepers in that room or utilize earplugs or sound machine.

The property was nice
The problem came after the stay. We got a claim for 150 for towels after our stay. The only towels in the house were white towels similar to hotels but if You used it to wipe your hands after eating and it left a stain apparently you are charged. When you are on vacation the last thing you want to think about is wether or not you left a stain on a towel that can be bleached. No one called about it! We cleaned up thoroughly after and was still charged. I would not stay there again for that fact.

House is not near all the museums and downtown Hilo. Need to Uber everywhere. Contacted manager when first made reservations requesting early check-in. Received approval. Tried to recommunicate with the manager as we got closer to date. No response. Arrived at the house at 7:00 am to find entry procedures not fully explained so we called the manager. He was upset we were calling so early and was not going to let us check in early. After an argument, the manager hung up on me. There I was standing in the early morning darkness with all our luggage and no place to go. Finally got another person on the line who gave us instructions to get in. After traveling for 18 hours that was not appreciated. After that, we had a lovely stay. Front bedroom is noisy from street traffic. My business travels to DC often for however will not recommend any property managed by this manager.

Beautiful property, well cared for.
We had a great time when we stayed this weekend while our daughter did the Marine Corps Marathon. The residence was just as pictured - huge bedrooms and bathrooms! The location was a little different than we had stayed in the past, with shops, etc not as easily within walking distance, but we utilized the Metro and Uber and had no problems at all. We arrived by Amtrak at Union Station and had no trouble getting to the residence. Easy check in process, reached Sherman by phone before our arrival and had no problems at all. Would definitely recommend!

Compact and clean
Neighborhood in transition, this unit already rehabbed. Clean, comfortable for four. Sherman answered all our needs promptly. Many stairs but no problem for us. Would suggest hooks for towels in bathrooms, Keurig in kitchen would be a plus as we were decaf and caffeine drinkers. Traffic in DC is terrible so we used Uber and it worked fine.

Perfect location
This row house made our stay in DC perfect. Sherman was helpful, accommodating, and responded quickly to inquiries. The house itself was clean, nicely updated, and supplied all the linens, towels, and kitchen supplies we needed. The day we got there we had our groceries delivered after Sherman suggested a couple of grocery stores which I appreciated A LOT. And the Capitol was a short jog away (1.9 miles to the front steps). Of all things, I left my car keys at the house when we left, but Sherman quickly mailed them to my home! Thanks for helping to make our family D.C. vacation such a wonderful experience, Sherman! I would highly recommend this house!!

Nice property for your DC vacation
This newly remodeled townhouse has everything you need for a great stay in the DC area. Close to restaurants, grocery stores, and downtown. Our family of 3 adults and a baby had everything we needed including a washer and dryer. The appliances were new and very clean. Please be aware there are several sets of steps to enter the townhome and to access the bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here a again if visiting DC. We used UBER several times and it was reasonably priced.

very good
very nice American house with 2 big bedrooms and toilets. The landlord is very helpful. Even though the house is close to the main street, it's very quiet. We enjoy it very much!

great place to stay
The place was clean and well organized. A lot of traffic could be heard at all times. There was a lot of steps inside and out side which could be a little scary of you were not careful!!!

Good, clean 2BR with kitchen, near DC's Bloomingdale area
We enjoyed our week in DC, including this place. Street noise was persistent in the front bedroom, but from the back bedroom no problem. It felt secure, and walking to the train by day was fine. Uber provided cheap rides at night, less than $10 to get downtown.
The washer/dryer was busted and there were some imperfections in the couch and half-bath's wall, but otherwise the place shone. The newer kitchen is particularly nice, as is the master shower.
The neighborhood seems to be in early stages of gentrification, with some nice restaurants / bars and a bakery a few blocks west. Many houses look renovated, others not.

It was wonderful, everything we needed was there!
Property was clean & comfortable. 2 large bedrooms with queen beds & 2 large bathrooms upstairs. Downstairs is living room, fully equiped kitchen & half bath. There were 4 adults & it was perfect for us. We left our Expedition in the back garage & used Uber the entire 5 days which was a new experience for us 4 Seniors & we loved it! It is on a busy street so there are a lot of sirens but you learn to ignore it. If I had to make a suggestion it would be to put a Keurig in the kitchen. We really have no complaints & would recommend it for 4 people.

Super great rental for a family of 5 (3 of them teenagers)
Had a great 5 nights here. Perfectly functional kitchen, absolutely gorgeous bathrooms, and comfortable beds for all of us. We enjoyed it here very much! A few things are a little wonky, such as the door lock... but we were able to work with it. The toaster about blew up on our first morning, so I reached out to Sherman, and a brand new toaster was on the counter when we arrived home that evening. That was awesome! If you're in DC for all the usual sites, this place was reasonably priced for its location. We were without a car - but easily got around with uber and Metro (far preferred over driving/parking in the city! ). There is a Metro station about a 15 minute walk away, but I suggest using it sparingly. If you're not accustomed to walking 10 mile days, several days in a row, I'd say save your steps and take uber. Either way though, traveling around to the various places from this house is a breeze. The two biggest drawbacks are Internet (weak) and noise. This is a busy street - and clearly a major road for emergency vehicles to travel. Every single night of our 5 night stay had a good amount of sirens coming through. This wasn't a huge issue for us, but definitely something to keep in mind if you need a quiet place to sleep. Thank you to the property management for a terrific spot!
