Nestled in Perry Township, this lovely cabin for $519 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This spacious vacation lodge/cabin is located close to the Old Mans Cave attractions in the scenic Hocking Hills. It features a big 8 person Hot Tub located outside the Rec. Room. The Karshner Place is located close to the small town of Laurelville, which has a number of restaurants, a gas station, ice cream place, grocery store, Family Dollar with movie rentals and a bank. We allow the Karshner Place to sleep up to 20 guests. The initial price is for 12 guests (to keep the price down for less guests) after 12 we have a guest fee. The Karshner Place features a large living room area with a Smart TV and a Samsung DVD player (with apps). (TV is only Internet TV and only local channels that you can pick up at times, no cable or satellite, bring your own streaming devices and your own internet TV subscriptions) The living room area also has an electric fireplace that heats. It has a large dining room with plenty of seating area. It has a total of 7 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen. Bedroom #1 is in the open loft area overlooking the dining room with a queen bed and a queen pullout sofa. The open loft over the living room area has a double pullout and 1 chaise lounge. Bedroom # 2 is a closed bedroom in the loft area with a queen bed and a queen pullout sofa, and a small balcony. Coming down the loft stairs, straight ahead is Bathroom #1 with a shower and a large jacuzzi. Bedroom #3 is on the main floor and has a queen bed and a reclining chaise. This bedroom has a door going into the large Bathroom #1. Bedroom #4 is on the main floor and has a queen bed. Bedroom #5 is on the main floor and has a queen bed. Bathroom #2 is just outside bedrooms #4 & 5, with a tub/shower. Bedroom #6 is on the lower level and has a queen bed. This bedroom has a door going into Bathroom #3 with a tub/shower. Bedroom #7 is on the lower level and has a queen bed. This bedroom has a door going into Bathroom # 4 with a tub/shower. There is also a full pullout sofa on the lower level in the Rec Room area. Towels and linens are provided. It also features a large Rec Room with pool table, ping pong table, and a Smart TV and a Samsung DVD player (with apps) on the lower level. Outside it features a wrap around deck, a small balcony off the upstairs bedroom, and a small patio on the back of the lodge with a gas grill. Off to the side of the lodge is a large patio with a fire ring which has a removable grill for grilling (you can grill with firewood, which they sell in Laurelville at Young’s Market and Ridge Inn). This was a great place to stay! You can tell by the layout that they value family and have provided a large cabin to make that happen. We were thankful for a place where our big family could enjoy a weekend together and at a price that a large family could also afford. Everyone had a great time!!!! We hope to stay there again! What a blessing!

Our group included 5 adults and 7 kids between the ages of 9 and 15. This location was fantastic for adults being able to gather and play games or chat while the kids had more than enough space to play on the lower level. One of the things that we liked most about this property was that there was a large table upstairs so that we could all sit and eat together. The table seated 12, but we could have added at least five or six more if you include the counter and bar stools right next to the table. Also, if we wanted to we could have set up chairs on the lower level and had two more tables. The extra tables and chairs were conveniently located on the lower level if we wanted to use them. There were plenty of bathrooms, but it was a little disappointing that there was no bathroom located on the third floor. There were lots of helpful signs posted around the house that helped us remember the rules and take good care of the place. We would definitely stay here again!

Pretty much perfect! Very clean! Good amount of space. Huge hot tub with good jets. Lots of towels though a few more hot tub towels would be nice! We would love to come back with our group!!

House was clean, well supplied especially the kitchen. Also a decent selection of spices available, coffee and filters. Loved having a Bunn with 2 carafes and burners. Furniture, decor in very good condition. Spacious. Loved the deck and fire pit area. Hot tub was large! Parking was more than adequate. Close to all that Hocking Hills has to offer. We were blessed with awesome weather for the weekend and spent a lot of time outside on the deck. Appreciated having ample toilet paper, linens and towels.

Our family of 14 had a wonderful long-weekend getaway which included hikes to Old Man’s Cave, Ash Cave, Conkle’s Hollow and a great petting farm just down the road! The 6 kids (ages 4 to 10) spend HOURS playing at the treehouse/swing area and loved s’mores at our evening campfire. It’s obvious the owners have a large family, as the kitchen was well stocked and the number of bedrooms (with comfortable beds) as well as pullout sofas easily accommodated our married children, grandchildren, and single adult children. Hot tub was relaxing, too. Love the beautiful, quiet countryside. Kids are already asking to return next year. Thank you, Phil and Norma!!

We had such a wonderful time at the cabin! The cabin was absolutely amazing! We were really impressed with all of the amenities and the comfortable furniture! The game room was a lot of fun especially if it was raining outside! Will definitely stay here again!

We had a large group-22-and the house was big enough to make us all comfortable. All the kitchen necessities were there and the stash of games was great. We used the hot tub and the fire pit and had room for yard games that we brought. The temperature on the third floor was very warm and was the most consistent complaint I got. Overall a great weekend with family.

We had 13 in our group, ranging from 7 to 75. There was more than enough room for all of us! Appreciated all the extras that were provided (toilet paper, towels, dishes and cookware, coffee). The owners have gone above and beyond to make this a special place to stay. Exceptionally clean. Loved the location—we did hikes within a 15-20 min drive and visited Logan and Laurelville. Have already recommended this place to friends and family!

Everything was great. The house was awesome! We hiked in the Hocking Hills, canoed the river, visited a winery and a brewery. Played ball with the kids, soaked in the hot tub and made some awesome memories.

We had a fabulous time enjoying this huge home and the surrounding area as we celebrated my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. We had family that came as far as Korea, Missouri, California and Cleveland. Plenty of space for everyone. Not far from hiking trails or the market for ice. Our hosts were quick to come empty trash when needed and very sweet.

We love this property! It meets all our needs for a family Christmas celebration. The property owners are very easy to work with, and communicate quickly. The only con is the open loft bedroom. It is open to the kitchen gathering/game playing area so it’s noisy, not private at all, and very light. The other rooms are private, quiet, and dark. We have stayed here twice, and have already reserved for next Christmas.

This is our 2nd year at this property. We celebrate Christmas with my siblings and their families. We go from Thursday through and leave Sunday morning. So much fun for all of us to just hang out for a few days! Norma is awesome to deal with!!!
