We loved the typical provence-style house and the friendly neighbourhood as well as the well-tended garden.
Very charming is the fact, that Mount Ventoux shows up nearby wherever you go ...

We had a lovely stay with our 2 dogs, even though the weather wasn't kind to us for most of it! There are some beautiful towns and villages to visit, and plenty of walking/cycling to be done in the area. The house had everything we would need, including patio table and chairs and sun loungers with towels. The neighbours who handled the check in/check out were very accommodating and exceptionally friendly. Although the house is basic in style, it has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay, including a wonderful wood burning stove in the lounge area.

Auf eine Postkarte aus Monnieux schrieben wir in diesem Sommer:
Ein Traum ging in Erfüllung.
Und genauso ist es an diesem Ort. Ein liebevoll restauriertes provenzalisches Haus mit olivfarbenen Fensterläden und einem bezaubernden Garten mit großer Wiese, in der ein schattenspendender Baum mit tiefroten Blättern steht. Betritt man das Haus, so spricht alles, angefangen von der Einrichtung, über die Farben, bis hin zur Dekoration:
Herzlich Willkommen in der Provence.
Am Morgen die Stille der Landschaft genießend, kann man das Erwachen der Zikaden erleben. Dazu eine Tasse Kaffee und ein Croissant aus dem nahegelegenen Örtchen Sault. Dort gibt es auch jeden Mittwoch einen großen Markt mit regionalen Produkten. In der wirklich gut ausgestatteten Küche lassen sich die Produkte zu einem köstlichen Essen verwandeln, das man auf der kleinen überdachten Terrasse im provenzalischen Abendlicht genießen kann. Und sollte etwas sein, wozu man Hilfe braucht, ein Anruf bei den Nachbarn reicht, um deren wundervolle Hilfsbereitschaft zu erleben.
Im Rückblick ist jeder Moment an diesem Ort wie ein kleine wunderschöne Geschichte in der Provence.

Provence pur, toll. Ein einladendes Haus mit schönem Garten in den Feldern nahe Monieux unweit der Gorges de la Nesque - Lavendel, Ventoux, tolle kleine Orte - nahebei päpstliche und römische Geschichte - hier passt einfach alles.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren gut und sehr nett betreut.
