Nestled in Round Hill Village, this attractive house for $495 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Elk Point is a gated community of about 90 homes with our own private community beach and marina, swimming area with a raft and beautiful beach deck and barbeque area. Our house is directly across the street from the lake with stunning lake views from two lake facing decks and a quiet backyard deck and play area. In the winter, Heavenly Valley is 10 minutes away, with Kirkwood, Alpine, Squaw and Mt. Rose nearby to ski. Sledding for kids of all ages is in the backyard and on Hill Street, and cross country skiing is out your front door. All summer activities abound in the Lake Tahoe basin… Beach, Boats, Golf, Fishing and Hiking. Many resorts with rentals and night life. Spring and Fall could be the best time of the year if you want to get away for some R&R and still have excellent weather without the crowds. I'd like to break this review down into 2 parts - the good and the not so good. Overall, our stay was very good. But, for the sake of folks who really want to know what they are getting before they rent, please read my review. The good: The property location can't be beat. You are literally across the street from the water and have fabulous peak a boo views of the lake from several areas of the home. We loved the private beach which is just down the street. It's a perfect beach for paddleboarding, swimming and grilling. Lots of outdoor seating and indoor seating at the house with a grill on the outside patio area that worked! The not so good: Watch out for the extra person charges. Our total of 7 people equalled about $800 per night with all the additional fees. The home is very, very tired. The mattresses on both beds are old and not very comfortable. The kitchen's oven is from the 70's if not older. While there is a lot of silverware and plates and such - it's like an old garage sale collection of items in the kitchen. Also, there was not soap for the showers and not a single extra trash bag under the sink. Thus, there doesn't seem to be much thought for the basic needs of guests here. Lastly, there is a keycard needed to get your car to the private beach. When I asked about it, the owners said the keycard didn't work. However, we found a maintenance person who let us in and told us it takes seconds to fix the keycard. You will want that keycard if you have SUP's!

My family and I had a great stay for a week in Elk Point. Short walk to private beach with sand volleyball and barbecue and not dealing with parking and congestion at other local beaches was a great advantage! Home was clean yet dated with some appliances struggling (ice maker and range).

The property was amazing. The house is full of windows which expose the gorgeous mountain and lake scenery. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We were very impressed with our visit and would highly recommend this property .

This house is in a great location. We love to spend time as a family going for walks around the neighborhood as well to the beach. The beach is fantastic. Very relaxing and no pressure to get there early to get a spot. Thanks for another great stay.

Perfect mini-vacation. Owners were very easy to work with. The property has beautiful views from every angle of the house. A short walk and you were on the lake/beach. Close to everything! We will be back again.

The location of this house was perfect - great private beach and the house had an umbrella and chairs. We like to cook on vacation and this is one of the first houses that had really good cutting knives in the kitchen - really a bonus. Recommend this house for low key family time!

In a great spot by Lake Tahoe. Older furniture (especially technology hookups) but super charming and cute! The kitchen is functional but bring your own knife sharpener. Super cozy with serene views. Perfect for entertaining my friends and family.

Lee and Brenda's property is really cute and in a great location! Close to everything South Tahoe has to offer yet far from the crowd. Short drive to grocery store and the access to the private beach was a huge plus. The kids loved playing there for hours. Very well stocked kitchen. The patios and backyard sitting area could use some cleaning but overall a great stay.

This rental was a terrific find! The home is in a great location, very spacious and provided all the amenities you'd need. The views are awesome and I loved the private beach access. So relaxing. I highly recommend and plan to return! Thank you. My only recommended feedback is to clear the drains in the showers. They may be backed up a bit, standing in water.

My family really enjoyed our stay here. I was specifically looking for a property that had beach access within walking distance. It’s a short walk to a private beach and we were the only family playing on the beach during our stay. My kids loved the bunk beds. The home was equipped with all everyday essentials (pots/pans, cooking utensils, plates, cutlery, coffee pot, toaster). I didn’t realize Safeway was SO CLOSE which is another great thing about this property. They do supply beach towels but they’re basically bath towel size so if you prefer something larger, I’d consider bringing your own. Overall, this is a perfect property and location for families with kids.
