Located in Virginia Beach, this attractive condo for $249 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. WELCOME! BEAUTIFUL POOL RESORT CROSS STREET TO BEACH, AVAILABLE FOR MAY 2024 (3 night minimum), MAY 27-JUN 1, JUNE 8-15 are dates left. Searching for a relaxing stay with all the resort amenities and great price in a high quality, clean condo? Your search ends here! Enjoy this fully furnished, well appointed condo that features everything your family could want for a fun beach vacation. Swim in the sparkling pool (5/10-9/15), grill on your private patio barbeque, free use of boogie boards, umbrella, beach cart and beach chairs (provided in lock shed). This is a single-level unit with no condos above or below, so nice and quiet. The condo also features a personal, full sized washer and dryer, dishwasher, full size refrigerator and stove, dining seats for 6. First bedroom has 2 full size beds and its own private bathroom (with shower/tub combo) and TV; Second bedroom has one king size bed and flat screen TV with full bath, corner shower. Linens (sheets & towels) are not provided, so bring own or may be rented for nominal fee. Also pet friendly (add'l fee applies per pet, 2 max). Condo has three flat screen TV sets, Wifi and DVD players. All these fantastic amenities AND at the BEST location on the beach, just cross the street (Atlantic Avenue) to the sand and surf of the Atlantic ocean. The north end of this beautiful resort area is quieter than the main drag hustle and bustle area but just a mile or two away from all the excitement if you want anything from paragliding and boat rides to the best seafood at the beach! We have had repeat guests coming every year for the past 10 years. Also very close by is all the shopping, dining and fun beach attractions that make Virginia Beach a great, family-friendly place for all!

We had such a great time enjoying this beautiful rental. The condo was a few short steps to the pool (which was kept up immaculately) and across the street from the beautiful beach. Location was perfect for our family. The rental has super cute, beachy decor and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Grocery store was 5 minutes away and the great restaurants and all the downtown fun was just a few minutes more. The host was extremely easy to contact and connect with when i had a few questions. This is definitely an A+. We are looking forward to visiting again!

This cute, well kept condo in a mostly residential neighborhood was perfect for our stay. Close to the beach, but quiet and not crowded. Easy drive to downtown or restaurants. The host was very responsive to questions, and the welcome card, snacks & information binder were a nice touch.

The space is rustic, but cute. Location relative to the beach is fantastic, and it is nice to have a hotel right across the street for times you may not feel like cooking. There were issues with the refrigerator during our stay and the owners were very responsive and fixed it quickly.

We loved staying at MaiKai! A charming, cozy place away from the maddening crowd. Proximity to the beach was perfect and so was the weather! We will definitely reserve your place when we can get back to Virginia Beach! Thank you for the lovely week!

We had a great time! Very clean and nice property. Walking distance to the beach and the pool in the back. Also very close to VB attractions. The best part were the chilled beer glasses in the freezer. 😁. Made my stay even better! If you want to have the best of the beach and the pool then this is the property for you and your family!

My husband and I needed to get away after a very emotional year. The condo and location were perfect. Clean, adorable, so many special touches, plenty of room, little food extras but most of all, location, location, location! We walked across the street every day to the beautiful ocean then returned to the condo to drive less than a mile to fabulous food, walk the boardwalk and enjoy music. We will return and this is where we’ll stay! Thank you again for making our little getaway so special and relaxing. Don’t forget your four legged children, ours had a fun time.

Loved the Mai Kai!
We had a fabulous stay at this property! It was exactly as described! Everything was perfect! It was wonderful we loved everything! It Was so nice being so close to the beach and having access to the pool! All the restaurants and parks were so close we had a blast! It really was in a fantastic location for everything!

I’d like to preface my review by noting that the owner allowed us to end our stay early and gave a partial refund, so I believe that shows integrity on their part and that they will hopefully correct their condo’s issues for future guests.
The issues:
1. This condo has cockroaches. We weren’t in the condo a lot, but during our short stay, we saw/killed two large roaches. This led to a very uneasy stay, and when we returned home, we had to disinfect and wash all of our belongings prior to bringing them inside to prevent bringing roaches or their eggs into our house.
2. The property did not feel safe or secure. The entry key is simply left outside under an object and could easily be copied. All windows were unlocked. And a drunk man tried to break in to the condo in the middle of the night on July 4th during our stay — we had to call 911, and he was arrested.
3. The tubs in both bathrooms are peeling with sheets of white plastic coming off. The bath rugs to cover this feel like stepping on soggy blankets. One of the tubs doesn’t drain, so if you take a shower, you end up standing in a full bath. The master toilet would not flush consistently.
The owner offered to try to fix the bathroom issues, but these problems should have been addressed before we checked in. The condo was not in the condition we paid for, and I did not feel that our vacation should have to be spent coordinating these repairs/fixes, or having repairmen enter the condo with our belongings while we weren’t there. The cockroaches in the kitchen and living room were the final straw.
The owner did inform me that the condo receives quarterly extermination and is supposed to go through a 42-point housekeeping evaluation prior to each rental — however, this does not change that in spite of these things, the unit has roaches and other serious issues. The owner also reminded me that the unit has a high VRBO rating, but again, our experience was quite the opposite of what other reviews have said. We had driven eight hours to spend a week at the beach, but after just a few days in this condo, we were very anxious to go home.
The owners did seem nice, and went out of their way to provide fans for the bedrooms when I asked if any were available ahead of our stay. If they can correct the roach problem, bathroom issues, and security, I believe this could be a nice condo.
In its current condition, however, I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Second time around did not disappoint!
This was our second time staying at this property (we loved it so much last year). The location is great....directly across the street to the beach and on the north end where it's not so crowded. We took full advantage of the pool, as well.

Great spot.
We had a great time visiting Virginia Beach. A short walk to the beach and convenient to the heart of the action. The unit fit our needs providing beach chairs , umbrella, boogie boards and a small drink cooler. The beds were comfortably, good hot shower and a nice front room for relaxing. All we needed. Communicating with owners was easy, they responded quickly. A comfortable spot to stay while exploring the Virginia Beach area.

This is a great beach house. Walking distance to the beach, pool on site. Not fancy, but has everything that you need. The right size for a single family.

Then on counter there was a magnet to take home and postcard made out to use to enjoy our stay, we have rented many places and never had an owner do this for us before and I thought was so thoughtful. Then first day we get there later after 3 and till we unload we decide to just hit the pool area for the evening. We meet some locals that live in VA and have a condo in this community and so nice and talkative gave us restaurant recommendations, which we hit many of throughout the week and were great just like they said. SO that again was so nice to have people in the community welcome you. Our stay was great, had a wonderful time and will keep info for a future return trip! I would recommend highly. Oh and our 2 dogs were also welcomed and loved it as well. Thanks, loved our stay!

We had 4 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs. The condo was perfectly situated to visit the beach and all other attractions. The pool was great after a beach day. New gas grill is cook dinner on! We had a wonderful time and Caroline responded immediately to questions and provided great recommendations! Highly recommend.

This house is PERFECT for our family of four! The bedroom for the kids with a door able to be closed off so we could stay up after we put them down was a big bonus to have Caroline was so great to deal with, and our boys keep asking to move there to live forever 10/10 and we can’t wait to come back next year!
