Situated in Tacoma, this attractive house for $195 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. ***Please also see our other listing one block away VRBO #683430! Gorgeous and comfortable remodeled home with hardwood floors, quartz counters, stainless appliances and equipped with central air conditioning! The front bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a king bed and the top floor bedroom has a queen plus 2 twin beds. This house sleeps 8 people very comfortably in beds with a pull out sofa for 2 additional guests with prior approval. The kitchen has quartz counters, dishwasher, microwave, and all the dishes and cookware you will need. The home is equipped with 2 flat screen TVs, cable, BlueRay player, WIFI, linens, towels and a washer/dryer for your use. There is a large fully fenced back yard for summer entertaining. This home is located .5 miles from unique 6th Ave with many great restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. The Proctor District, Old Town Tacoma, downtown Tacoma and I5 are all a short distance away. The Ruston Way Waterfront and Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, both boasting miles of walkways for biking/running/rollerblading are close by if you are ready for some outdoor adventure! Additional local attractions include, Chihuly Glass Museum, LeMay Car Museum and Tacoma Dome. This is the perfect vacation rental for visiting a student at one of the local universities. The house is 1 mile from University of Puget Sound and 3 miles from UW Tacoma. If you’re in town for a wedding, for work, a concert, visiting family or for vacation and are looking for something more than an average hotel room – this home is for you!

The place was just perfect for my friends and I who were in town for a long weekend. It is close to everything, even within walking distance. The house was spacious enough that everyone fit, but we weren’t on top of each other. Beds were very comfortable too and the kitchen was well equipped. Definitely a great stay!

We stayed at this property while dropping our daughter off at Pacific Lutheran. Location was good as we needed to get her some stuff for her dorm, and there were plenty of places close by. House was very neat and clean and had everything we needed. Would recommend!

For once we found a house that has a well stocked kitchen as far as dishes, cooking and service dishes so you can actually prepare a meal.

What’s not great to say about this place. First off if you are visiting someone at University of Puget Sound it is a 4 min drive and 25 min walk! The house is so cute and well laid out! The beds are comfortable, the kitchen easy to cook in and entertaining areas perfect for feeding college kids! Also the communication with the owner was amazing! She was so accommodating and pleasant to communicate with! This in our new go to place when visiting my niece at college!

Overall, my experience with this stay was great! However, these small things were a bit annoying. Others may not be bothered by these but wanted to list them for possible areas of improvement.
1. The TV and DVD player instructions were incorrect (what input to use for each). This may have been because there was only one HDMI cord and the directions indicated that they each had their own. I was able to just switch the cord from the cable box to the DVD to get it to work but that shouldn't have been necessary according to the directions.
2. The DVD remote was missing so even though we got it to turn on we couldn't select it to play from the main menu without the remote as there weren't any buttons on the DVD box for this - you had to have the remote. I texted the owner and asked about the remote and she said it should be there with the TV remote but it wasn't. I looked all around, under couches, in couch cushions, etc. and never found it.
3. The directions for the WiFi password weren't clear on where it could be found. It said living room but it was actually near the kitchen table above the coffee maker. I would consider that the dining room. "Above the coffee maker" would have been the perfect description for the location. I eventually got it off of the sticker on the router. The second day we finally noticed it above the coffee maker.
4. The WiFi password hasn't been changed from the default annoying, long string of letters and numbers.
Again, these are all minor things that we were able to work around but are also easy fixes.

This was more than we thought! From the outside it looks tiny but once you walk in it’s beautiful! Very clean, kitchen is well stocked with dishes etc. The bedrooms were perfect, the beds were comfy. This is definitely somewhere we would consider staying again.

Loved our stay in Tacoma. First time in this house but have stayed in Amy Jo’s other property a few houses away. It’s really just perfect and makes my visits to Univ of Puget Sound so relaxing and enjoyable. We’ve already booked this house for graduation weekend!!!

Nice and Clean

Tacoma gem
Loved our stay in Tacoma. First time in this house but have stayed in Amy Jo’s other property a few houses away. It’s really just perfect and makes my visits to Univ of Puget Sound so relaxing and enjoyable. We’ve already booked this house for graduation weekend!!!
