Located in Playa del Carmen, this lovely condo for $249 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Our condo is our second home and we have made it very comfortable and inviting for our guests to enjoy like we do when we come. El Faro means Lighthouse and this lighthouse has been a landmark in Playa del Carmen for many years. Residences El Faro Condominiums has incorporated the lighthouse on the property. Our BEACH FRONT condo is only 35 steps to the beach and 170 steps to the FAMOUS 5th AVENUE which is full of exciting restaurants and shops. The beach you see from our condo offers swimming, wind-surfing, paddle board, kayaking, parasailing, scuba diving, free diving, jet-skiing, and most important a relaxing day on the beach. Our Condo has a fully equipped modern kitchen including a George Foreman multi purpose grill, or we have a Weber Gas grill on the balcony. We have tried to incorporate the wonderful Mayan Culture in our wall painting in the living area in hopes you feel the real sense of Mexico. When we walked in to the apartment, our jaws dropped. It’s stunningly beautiful and the views are amazing. With closer inspection, the attention to detail is amazing. Beautifully decorated and small details were not overlooked. The location is perfect…right in the heart of action and next to plenty of restaurants. We loved it and plan to come back!

We found the kitchen well stocked, loved the deck area, made use of the BBQ and took a cooler with us one day down to Tulum and Akumel, which were easy day trips. We loved watching the dive boats load up out front and thought the condo was in a great location - perfect to action but removed just enough to be nice and quiet. Complex very well kept with a lovely large pool.

We stationed in Reef 302 and it was a perfect location. The ocean view balcony was awesome. Even though it was close to everything Playa had to offer, it was also quiet at night.(other units in ElFaro might not be so quiet). Terry set us up with transportation from the airport and then from Playa to Moon Oakace for the second part of our vacation. It was seemless!

Terry was a wonderful host, helping with airport transport and responding to emails almost immediately. The property manager and building staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was simple.

Excellent Experience
Our family stayed in Terry's condo over New Years. The condo was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed, including a gas grill on the patio, which we used a few times. The beach toys on the patio for our use was an extra bonus. Our family has stayed in multiple condos in El Faro over the years and Terry's was as nice as you can get and the ocean view was outstanding. The patio furniture was also something we appreciated, which is key to enjoying that part of the condo. It has comfortable outdoor cushioned chairs and couches on the patio versus plastic chairs in other offerings we considered. Of Course the location of El Faro is unbeatable. Further, we had great communication from the owner when we needed it. We would return.

The day we arrived it was very hot, so upon entering I noticed how cool it was, a big plus although we spent most of our time by the pool or ocean.
Kitchen was well stocked, glasses,silverware,frying pans all in good condition, we ate out mostly
Comfy couches and bed, both bedrooms are a good size with lots of closet space, Both showers were very clean and good water pressure
Balcony had comfortable furniture couch and tables, Nice because it was shaded most of the day you will appreciate that.
Great location easy walk to Walmart and Mega foods for supply’s
Also easy walk to ferry if you wish to visit Cozumel.
Steps away are ZenZi on the beach for beach dining
You can’t go wrong with this place the pool was beautiful and they have a masseuse on site overlooking the ocean.

We had a wonderful stay and loved the condo interior and furnishings. A lot of time was spent on the balcony drinking margarita's and enjoying the view. The pool was great for socializing and relaxing and we spent every afternoon in it. (Tip- one hour massages poolside for $25.US were fantastic) The Condo itself has a fantastic location and is close to everything on 5th ave. and a short walk to the Wal-mart for groceries. (Tip-take a backpack or pay taxi $5.US for a quick ride) We cooked a full breakfast every morning in the well stocked kitchen and ate out each night at the many wonderful beach restaurants and downtown venues. ( Highly recommend Bovinos on tenth street -Brazilian style steakhouse...was fantastic)

Beautiful and relaxing
Our stay in terry's condo was amazing. direct access to the beach as well as the city center. the condo itself was spacious and clean with everything you could need from bedding, cooking and pool and beach gear. Terry was extremely helpful with direction, transportation suggestions and assistance and great places to each in the city. We will definitely check on his condo first when we go back. Highly recommend Terry and his condo.

Spent 6 night (11/22-11/28/19) as a family of 4 including 2 boys (12 and 14). We had an awesome trip and Terry's unit is absolutely beautiful.
Unit - As stated, the unit is beautiful and the on line pictures are accurate. The condo has everything you could possibly need including 2 bedrooms, very well equipped kitchen, and a very large balcony with great view of the pool, beach, and ocean.
Location - Location is great as long as you know what you are getting into. The El Faro is located in between the beach and the very busy 5th Ave which tends to be noisy late into the night.
Beach - The El Faro is located on the best stretch of beach in Playa between the 2 piers.
Excursions - We visited Xplor and Xel Ha. Both are great. We were able to order the Xplor tickets online and had the front desk print out the receipt for us. Xplor is only a few miles away so the cheapest way to get there is to just take a cab. For Xel Ha, we purchased our tickets at the ADO bus station which included free transportation.
Terry - She was great and very responsive answering all of our questions. Definitely one of the better owners we have rented from over the years.

Great location and condo
The condo is centrally located, we especially loved that we were right next to Zenzi which is a chill restuarant / bar right on the beach....steps from our condo. 1 street down from 5th, and super close to ADO, Cozmel ferry, and tour pick up spots, etc. We walked mostly everywhere, The pool was relaxing, and we went outside the condo doors was a travel agent on the street that helped us arrange travel plans. Would definitely recommend this condo!

Great place to stay in Playa del Carmen
We just spent 5 nights here and our stay was really great. The place was conveniently located to everything. Up a block is the main area and around that are other restaurants and markets. Communication with Terry was great the whole time. He answered all my questions and was very responsive. The place had everything you’d want in a vacation place. Kitchen was well equipped, rooms had ample storage and the whole place was decorated very nicely. We didn’t need any beach gear at all, Terry had everything. All the staff was great as well.
So if you’re looking for a great place, conveniently located, we’ll furnished and has everything you may need, reserve this place.

The property did not disappoint! All the comforts of home plus more.
Loved the view and the vibe. So relaxing and so safe. Enjoyed pool side massage twice!
We were warmly welcomed by all the staff particularly Karina at reception. Nothing was too much trouble. She even provided gastrolytes for my sick daughter.
The apartment was clean and comfortable with everything we could need. Beds were comfy. Rooms were spacious.
I would highly recommend this condo and will def choose to stay here when I return to Playa del Carmen.

Highly recommend this property - as advertised
Our family of 4 just completed our week at the El Faro condo. We had a wonderful stay and will be returning in the future. The communication with Terry was very easy and he ensured we had an enjoyable stay. He set us up with transportation to/from the airport and assisted with retaining parking in the underground area for a very reasonable rate. The location on the beach and to 5th avenue is fantastic. The family enjoyed several local taco shops and pastries from Walmart (5-7 minute walk). The number and variety of restaurants in walking distance was impressive.
The pool area is well maintained and never felt overcrowded. The unit includes everything you need for cooking and entertaining. The couches and view from the balcony was awesome. Would recommend staying here over resorts.

Wonderful stay!
Just home from a 17 day stay in Playa del Carmen. We had a relaxing fun vacation! Would definitely recommend Terry’s condo. Everything you need is there and more. It’s not like staying in a bare bones unit...more like home. The only issues we had were with the bass thumping from the bar until 5 am sometimes but we remedied that by closing the door and turning on the fan. Once it was over we could open the doors and be lulled back to sleep by the waves. The condo is in a great location for walking but especially waking up and having coffee on the balcony and watching the sun rise. Because we had family and friends in the area we wanted to have them over. Day passes to the pool are US$10. and they usually limit it to 2 but made an exception for us. We invited a couple back to our place after supper but that wasn’t allowed either ...at first. So security is great but a bit too tight at times. Once they knew we weren’t loud party people things were fine. I understand the pool day passes completely. Restaurants Terry recommends were awesome...as are so many more, La Familia was our fav...great stone fried pizzas. Thanks so much Terry!!

Great condo and ideal location!
My family had a wonderful experience staying at El Faro Beach condo. The place was everything Terry said it was and more! Terry was great to work with and helped us arrange transportation to and from the airport. She also gave us a lot of good suggestions and tips which were very helpful! The staff was super friendly and helpful as well. We loved sitting out on the patio...the view is amazing! The location is perfect! Walking distance to the beach and 5th Ave. We also felt very safe and secure! We would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Reef 302 at El Faro - was fantastic
My wife and I, with our 2 kids (19 and 17yrs old) stayed for a week at Terry's condo in Playa. We chose Terry's condo because of the location (right in the middle of everything - beach/pool on one side of the complex and 5th Ave with all the shopping/bars restaurants right out the other side). The trip advisor reviews and pictures were spot on, what you see is what you get - which is fantastic when you rent a place for a week without any experience with the property beforehand. After booking the property in advance, Terry could not have been more accommodating to us (recommendations on transportation to/from the airport, recommendations on restaurants and things to in the area, as well as detailed instructions on our arrival to the condo and it's amenities). Terry answered all the questions we had prior to our family trip - she was awesome. During our stay, Yesica was our contact for any issues we had while there - Yesica was also fantastic. The security presence around El Faro and the pool area was always present and reassuring as well. The only, and I mean only thing that I can say negative about our stay was the issue this area is having with seaweed on the beaches. The local people are doing everything in their power to clean this up on a daily basis, but at the present time, this looks like a never ending battle. We still enjoyed walks on the beach as well as swimming in the ocean on days the seaweed was light, but it definitely is a factor regarding the "feel" of the beach area. This being said, we spent most of our time during the day at the El Faro pool, which is fantastic. Bottom line, we had a great family vacation, and Terry's condo and her assistance help make that happen.

Great Experience!
This was not our first visit to PDC, but was our first stay outside of a big resort. We were very happy with the decision to avoid the big all inclusive this trip. The location in PDC cannot be beat, walking distance to tons of restaurants and shops, and a taxi stand close by to everything else. Terry was extremely helpful recommending restaurants and setting us up with airport transportation with a local company. The restaurant choices and quality nearby is amazing, every meal we ate was great. The condo was well appointed and exactly as described in the listing. We felt safe with on site security, and enjoyed the uncrowded feel of the pool area. The only downside was the beach is experiencing a bad seaweed bloom, but understand this has nothing to do with the condo and can change at any time.
We would not hesitate to return!

El Faro is in a perfect location. The resort is clean and safe and the staff are wonderful.
We stayed for 10 days in Terry’s condo and it was exactly what we hoped for. We were 2 families of 4 and the unit accommodated us all. It is fully equipped with whatever you would need. We had a fabulous relaxing vacation! 5th avenue is half a block away and the El Faro complex is right on the beach. There are lounge chairs around the pool and overlooking the ocean. There are restaurants and beach clubs in both directions. The ferry to Cozumel is a short walk away. There is security around all the time and we always felt safe. We will definitely return as soon as we can. Terry was very easy to work with and great communication. Don’t hesitate to rent this unit.

This was our third visit to Playa and the second time we have stayed at the El Faro complex. Reef 302 is , far and away, the best appointed home; Terry is always available and extremely flexible. As an example, she had no hesitation in allowing us to extend our stay by a few hours due to a delay in our departure schedule.
The views from the apartment are superb, the balcony is a very nice size and the rooms / bathroom were spotless. The kitchen is very well appointed .
As regards the location, you could not ask for a more convenient base from which to explore Playa. There is a beachside restaurant ( Zenzi) adjoining El Faro with music each evening ---- although we chose to frequent it largely during the day. There are any number of restaurants on the main avenue , which is one block away . For those visiting over New Year's, El Faro is THE location from which to see the fireworks .
There is a set up for (excellent) massages by the pool ( we took full advantage of these,) , pool and beachside chairs and umbrellas are laid out at no extra cost and the staff do a very good job at ensuring that these are for the use of residents only.
All in all, we would highly recommend Terry's apartment and look forward to finding an excuse to return.!!!!
