Just recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend with my family. The location on the lake is great, you can't be any closer to the water which is what we wanted. Kids enjoyed catching fish from the dock and the views from the porch cant be beat.

This rustic Maine cabin was everything we hoped it would be: in the woods, quiet, rustic, and on the water. No frills. If you are looking for modern amenities this is not your rental. If you are looking for the way life used to be and a peaceful retreat go no further. We can’t wait to return.

What a perfect spot to temporarily slip out of my daily life to reflect, recharge, and just sit watching the lake. This cabin combines the joys of camping with the convenience of of electricity and running water, and the wood stove made “camping” in October downright luxurious.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away and just relax. The place is exactly as advertised. Little cabin on the lake. We spent 8 days without any worries. The local town had some very good places to eat. Visited as few of the locals waterfalls and took in a movie at the local theater on the one rainy day.
Outstanding vacation.

This was our second visit to this small, rustic camp on the shore of the pond. There is no one around except an abundance of birds. I saw my first blackburnian warbler here, as well as a rainbow, eagle, and loons. The camp is old and close to nature, including being as close to the lake as you could possibly be. The dock is sturdy and new and functions as your front yard. Enjoy a swim in the cool water, and spend the evening warming up by the wood stove.

Second year in a row.
We stayed again for the second year in a row for my husband's birthday. It was rainier than what we expected but cozy with the wood stove and still plenty of time to fish and kayak.

Hidden Gem
We love how tucked away and private this little cabin is. It is the perfect place to unwind and de-stress. Beautiful lake views, stunning sunrises, coffee on the dock, fire on chilly nights and the best day bed for napping and reading. Can't wait till next time.

A beautiful location, like something from a century ago, the song of loons on the lake putting me to sleep at night! Owner described to location perfectly in his listing, and published a wonderful and complete user manual.

Great no frills getaway
We were looking for a place that we could relax in for a couple of days. Found it here. Very basic and reminiscent of how camps were in the 40's. When the wind blew, it was felt in the cabin. The wood stove is large enough to keep us warm when it was 50 degrees outside..just not quite enough wood was available. The water is from the lake, so need to take bottled water (was not told this in the information). Great overall stay.

Autumn peace
Autumn is beautiful in this sweet little cabin on the lake. The woodstove creates a coziness that is relaxing to the soul. The owls, loons and squirrels chattering and calling adds to the beauty. The perfect place to re-center myself, take stock of my year, set new goals and be grateful for all I have. Thank you

My ideal rustic waterfront get-away
This was exactly what we needed, a charming rustic Maine camp as close as can be to a crystal clear lake, perfect for swimming. I had been concerned that the bathroom was in an out-building, but it wasn't that scary, even at night. :) We stayed put for two whole days before venturing out to a gourmet grocer and for some spectacular hiking. This place is best for outdoorsy, nature lovers looking for true peace and tranquility. You have to transport your gear in a wheelbarrow down a dirt path, but this means you won't hear a single car passing by during your stay. We were surprised there wasn't a BBQ grill, but the kitchen had all we needed for cooking delicious dinners and the indoor fireplace/woodstove added warmth and ambiance on chilly nights. We borrowed kayaks from Victor at his house next door, and enjoyed hearing loons, owls, belted kingfishers, and bald eagles, and seeing the most spectacular stars. While not guaranteed, you may also get lucky like us and experience a rainbow and a swimming deer! We absolutely plan to return!

This cabin is the picture perfect location to get away from all the business of life. The private location, rustic charm and well equipped cabin are perfection. The loons are amazing. Watched the Perseid meteor shower from the dock. Can not wait to return.
