The pictures can't possibly capture how great the view is in real life. We could've spent the entire trip on the deck and been completely satisfied. Very relaxing and serene property. Very easy to get in and out. Never had such convenient parking before as an added bonus. If you think this property might be the right one for you, then you are correct. It is!

This was the first trip to Maui with the kids and grandkids.The location was great and was within walking distance of the beach at the Grand Wailea, restaurants, and shopping. We couldn’t be happier with our accommodations. The condo was spacious, clean and nicely maintained. It was perfect for our group of eight.We were amazed the kitchen was so well stocked with dishes, glassware, pots and pans, utensils, etc. The onsite barbecue was a nice feature. The table on the lanai was large enough for all of us to fit comfortably and have a nice meal together. The view of the ocean and the amenities were also nice. Needless to say, we had a wonderful time and would come back again.

This place is a gem! We LOVED the open living room/kitchen concept with amazing views. The location was great, easy walk to the beach and dinner/drinks at the Four Seasons. We look forward to our next stay.

We've stayed at Ho'olei many times before and know what to expect during our stays. Property is at a great location and has great views of the ocean and sunset. The kitchen is well-equipped. We were grateful for the pool/beach extras - floats, boogie boards, noodles. All of the beds were very comfortable with nice linens. We appreciated having cable TV to watch football and World Cup matches. The grill was nice. The house is very clean. There's a lot of space for everyone to enjoy.

Good value in the Christmas season, with some drawbacks
This was our second year staying in the Ho'olei complex, and we really like it here. Last year we stayed in the same type of unit configuration, but not in this unit in particular. Both stays have been in units that are not under Grand Wailea management. The long story short is that these units offer a good view, decent layout, a nice pool area, and decent proximity to the same beach that is in front of the Grand Wailea and Four Seasons, with not too many things to complain about. I've listed my criticism below, but it's quite minor, and I would encourage anyone who is looking to rent from this company and in this complex.
There is no issue walking through the GW to get to the beach, and you'll have no problem using their pool bar or restaurants: but, you won't be able to use their pools or lawn chairs, and you may not be able to rent a Cabana from them either. This was a major bummer for us this year, as last year GW did allow us to rent Cabana's from them. Perhaps this will change for when you visit - they seem to change the policy depending on how busy they are. It is hard to fault the management of this unit - they are prompt, responsive, and fairly flexible.
I do have a few minor complaints/constructive observations:
1: The night of our arrival, we were asked to stay at an adjacent complex instead of this one because the mattresses had just been cleaned at the unit we rented and had not yet dried. This gave us an opportunity to see a comparable unit in a nearby but separate complex - we didn't mind. However, the next day we needed to transport all of our luggage to the new unit. I ended up having to get a taxi, which aren't always the easiest thing to come by in Maui. At the price we were paying for the unit, I would have expected the management to offer to cover the cost, but they didn't.
2: The bed in the second bedroom: the frame is unnecessarily large and take up almost the entire room (easy to hit with your knees) and the mattress was saggy to the middle.
3: There was a bit of a bad smell coming from the dishwasher, and there were some loose boards on the floor. Some of the walls have marks on them. In general, at times it just felt a little bit unloved/not particularly clean.
4: The last time we stayed at the complex, our host had given us passes for a free lawn chair rental on the beach. It was only a ~$60 value, but it was a really nice touch. The absence of it this year was noticed.

Heaven! Truly Heaven!
What a wonderful time we had at this condo. The location was perfect to walking everywhere and I do mean everywhere. The home is beautiful and well maintained. They even have sand chairs for the beach which we used a ton! There was even an elevator inside. It literally was beautiful and a great way to relax.
That said there are a few things to know. This particular unit is NOT a member of the Grand Wailea hotel so you do NOT have access to the hotel at all. When you go to the pool you must bring your towels that the unit does provide. There are several other units in this compound on VRBO that are members which allows you access to the hotel amenities. I assumed this unit belonged, but it does NOT!!!!
My only complaint for this unit was the bath towels were horrible!! Scratchy and very cheap. Stained too a lot of them. That was disappointing. Other then that I would book this unit again for sure! The beds were very comfortable too :)

Beautiful property with an incredible view. Unit just needs to be updated some (washer/dryer did not function properly all of the time). The Tommy Bahama chairs that came with the unit were broken. The outdoor furniture on the lanai needs to be replaced. The development and unit have unparalleled views and very well-maintained common grounds. A real estate query of the unit itself suggest that it retails for $3M. With the price that I paid for the unit for a week, I just am of the opinion that the furniture could be updated more often then what appears to be every few years. That being said based on the beauty of the grounds, the craftsmanship of the unit, and the proximity to all of Wailea, I would return.

This was the perfect vacation home for our family! It was gorgeous inside & out! The patio was amazing, the grounds, the size......we are definitely coming back again! I would highly recommend staying here!

Great View and Location in Wailea
We researched quite a bit and couldn't find a better view for our purposes. Plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. The proximity to shops, golf, the pool, and the beach make this a spectacular option. We had little trouble walking or driving to the beach and were able to rent umbrellas and chairs by asking some concessionaires and saying we were staying at Ho'Olei. Well worth the $30. My only complaint, if you will, was that the couch in the upstairs is showing it's wear. A bit soiled from use. Perhaps a good cleaning or other type of covering would work better for a beach property. Other than that we enjoyed every minute.

This condo is everything that the pictures/description say and more....the location is great, it is furnished beautifully and the view is priceless....We were with our older kids, it was so nice to be able to spend time together, creating meals/memories in such a beautiful location.

Relaxing View with Lots of Room!
Our family was able to enjoy the beautiful patio and deck that offered such lovely views! Having a community pool so close was a heavenly way to spend the afternoon and within such proximity, it gave us a lovely walk. The home flows well and everyone seemed to enjoy having their own space without feeling isolated! We defiantly will be back!

The Ideal Family Venue for Wailea
This is the second time we have stayed in this condo and it continues to be the ideal option for our 10 day Maui vacation. Close to the beach, pool, shopping, golf and all the restaurants you could ever want to dine at. Great view of the beach from the terrace where we started our day with a cup of coffee, and ended our day enjoying a drink and watching the sun set. Ideal for a family of six or more with the three bedrooms and great living space. Kitchen has a great cooking area, enormous refrigerator and an island ideal for eating or just gathering around. With the pool and work out facility just two minutes down the hill, it made going back and forth quite easy.
Beds are comfortable, and living space very open. Could use a little freshening up with the furniture and sheets but that is my only critique. We showed up with the instructions on how to get in, and everything was laid out exactly as described. All the resorts with the best choices of restaurants are within easy walking distances.
I would recommend to anyone who asks who has outgrown the hotel atmosphere and wants a more relaxing venue with the same accessibility. You don't have access to the Grand Wailea pool activities, but that was fine with my family, but we did eat there frequently, and walked through the resort to get to the beach.

Great place to stay
We stayed here in September 2012, spent the most perfect ten days: from paragliding to diving in a submarine. The property is well maintained, conveniently located. The description and the photos are accurate. Communication with the manager both before, during, and after was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone.
