About this house rental
Situated in Long Beach, this attractive house for $380 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This home is a fun, relaxing place only a block away from the beach. Everything you need to have a truly great vacation. Enjoy the beach, relax by the pool or ride bicycles to the main street in town (about a mile away) and visit the town green and local shops. Every Saturday morning is the farmers market with fresh vegetables, bread and flowers. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Beautiful formal dining room seats 8. Large table in the den seats 6 and table in the Tremont Room seats 6. Can seat extras at the bar and island in the kitchen. Great for large family gatherings, Thanksgiving, Christmas or reunions. The Tremont Room ( or game room) is in the back. Named so because one wall is old lumber from Tremont, MS. These came from the owner's Grandfather's mill. The room has 3 sides of windows allowing the morning sun to shine through as you look out over a huge back yard, large swimming pool, goldfish pond and much more. The Tremont Room is equipped with air hockey and other small games. A pool table is in the pool house just outside the pool area. Large flat screen TV and a very comfortable futon that sleeps 2 along with a great table for playing cards or board games. The home has a Cruisin bedroom decorated for the week long event that takes place on the MS Gulf Coast every October. A GMC headboard is over a queen bed with a flat screen TV and other memorabilia. Room darkening drapes are in all bedrooms for late sleepers. Corner bedroom features a king bed with a unique antique headboard and flat screen TV. Master bedroom and bath is very soothing with pastel colors. Great mantel headboard with all beach decor. Flat screen TV and French doors lead out to the patio and pool area. Great place to have a morning cup of coffee or quick dip in the pool. Kids and adults will love the nautical suite upstairs. Features 4 twin beds, large flat screen TV and of course room darkening drapes. French doors lead into another bedroom with a double bed. An entire family can sleep upstairs. Charming spiral staircase is outside of this bedroom. The piano room has a modern digital piano that can be played just as a piano or can play by itself. Kids and adults alike love playing the piano and sounding like a professional. Really is lots of fun!! It's all here at D D's By The Sea.

I rented DDs by the Sea from Franky for a friends getaway. Our friend group is spread across the country and we wanted to rent a house big enough for us to hang out in catch up and relax. We enjoyed the property and having a private pool to relax in. The pool toys were a great addition and suprise to find during our stay. I highly recommend this property for large groups.

Our family of 7 adults and 2 littles visited the Mississippi shoreline in July 2023 and being able to stay in this home helped to make our vacation stress free. The house was clean. The pool was great! Communication with the homeowner was also great. The departure requirements from the homeowner for us was also really nice as the list was short and made going home stress free, too. Thanks so much and should we visit the gulf again, we will definitely consider staying here again.

Our group of 12 (ages 2-65) loved our stay at Franky’s house. We were an easy drive to the beach (it was possible to walk but we choose not to with the small kids because of a busy highway). The pool was awesome, and Franky had extra safety features that allowed us to keep the kids from the pool when needed. Bedroom setup was great with the upstairs perfect for a kid or teen hideaway. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had ample equipment for cooking, and it was very clean. The area was more residential giving us some quiet and relaxing vibes but plenty close enough to more commercialized areas with lots to do. Franky also provided some extras for small kids like a pack-n-play, baby gate, and step stool. Truthfully the kids would have stayed in the pool the whole time with a few trips to the beach if we let them. We did bring a pop up tent that worked well near the pool for some extra shade. There was also a big front yard for games. Walmart was just down the road for all the things that were forgotten. Thanks to Franky for letting us enjoy your home at an affordable rate so our kids could see the ocean for the first time!

The whole experience was excellent. The booking went very smooth and the place was everything as advertised. Location was a quick walk or golf cart ride to the beach. House in great condition with great history. The owner was very good to work with and made our stay great. Would highly recommend. Oh! Yes. That pool was a highlight for all.

I would definitely recommend this property if you want a peaceful beach retreat with a small town feel but having the options to drive into biloxi or new orleans super easily.

We had a wonderful stay here in Long Beach, which would only have been better if Mother Nature had warmed things up a bit so the grandkids could have used the pool more! But, the ample yard space and roominess of the house provided lots of nooks and crannies for them to play. The piano was a big hit as all three of them have been asking to take piano lessons! The proximity to the beach was excellent and many shells (and many, many grains of sand) were found. There are plenty of restaurants with delicious seafood selections that we visited in person and also got carry out orders and enjoyed eating in the lovely rental house dining room. We didn’t get to use the fire pit…”tomorrow” kept being said and then on THE DAY, it rained and rained and rained. So marshmallows were “roasted” over the blue flames of the gas stovetop. So glad it wasn’t electric! LOL. The only “negative” I can say was that there was only one bathroom on the first floor with a shower, so the logistics of the adults’ bedrooms required a “shower schedule” be figured out. It wouldn’t be the greatest housing for someone with physical limitations by not being able to go up a flight of stairs, or with bathing in a very tight shower (although the small shower does have a seat.) There’s no grab bar in the main bathroom (with only a tub) so bathing there would also be a challenge for someone that needed a bit of assistance getting in and out of a tub. We managed nicely, but for a group with more than 4 adults, there might have to be a serious shower schedule session when you first arrive! Also, there are many amenities provided, but you’ll need to either bring lots of cooking essentials with you or buy them at the Walmart that’s not very far away. Eating out is a way to get around that! All in all, I would totally recommend staying here…just make sure the time of year you choose has the seal of approval from Mother Nature for swimming in the pool and in the Gulf!

The pool is big, deep, and comfortable temperatures. The pool house gives teens a perfect escape from the ‘old folks’. Plenty of outdoor & indoor seating and dining spaces.
It really is only one block to the beach. Just be prepared to cross a potentially busy 4 lane road with a median. If you are traveling with special needs or disabilities, it would be better to drive and park (considering extra essentials).
With that said, at least 4 exterior doors can access the pool, but each door is armed with a key if access needs to be restricted.

Great family vacation on the Gulf. We had plenty of room for our family. We have just a few things to point out. The firepit area is in need of repair, it is not easy to walk on after dark. The beds are very hard, they could use some memory foam mattress toppers. Other than that, big kitchen to prepare and eat meals. We found several favorite places to go several times. We love Long Beach!
