About this house rental
I am available to help via your booking channel messaging, cell phone, text or email but once checked in we will give you your privacy but will be available should you need anything during your stay.
This is a great neighbourhood! It is walking distance to the ice cream & hamburger place called the Kool Treat as well as a coffee shop called Smoochies. The grocery store is only a 1.5 km drive away.
It is private, but closse to everything.
The property is large, 260 feet long by 45 feet wide. You can pull up near to the back door. You access the home with a keypad lock.
The home is modern and with a beachy feel. There are unique round walls and vaulted ceilings. The lakefront is gorgeous with stunning views up the lake.
Other than summertime, the base price is set to a very special price for up to 4 people, perfect for a smaller family or a couple. Of course you can always add more people on and pay extra for up to 7 people.
It is best to have a car to use when staying at this property, though it is only about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the Greyhound stop in Christina Lake. There is parking one behind the other at the property. You need to pull in to park, then back out. There is also a spot near the street side of the property.
If you have large boat trailers, you can park them at D&D Storage or the Marina for a small fee.
We welcome family groups of up to 7 people, but the price depends on the time of year. Mid September to mid June the prices are a reasonable $179 to $350 per night for up to 4 people. That price for up to 4 people includes only the upper 2 bedrooms. If you need all 3 bedrooms or have a bigger group, that is totally fine, we would just add the extra people or just a bit extra to cover the extra $100 cleaning plus taxes and fees for the 3rd bedroom.
In Summer the prices are $850 to $975 per night for up to 6 people. Mid summer 4 to 5 weeks are often kept for family.
We are pet friendly for 1 well behaved small to mid size dog, but there are restrictions to discuss things before you book. There is also an extra pet fee.
We ask our guests not to invite other people to the property during their stay.
There may be a vintage airstream parked at the street side of the property but nobody will be staying in it.
There is a playground that children are welcome to use just behind the home on the street side. It is a favorite with the children but they must be attended at all times.
Garbage & Recycling
Garbage
The garbage can is in the shed behind the home. The shed code is 2055 (the same as the street address).
Enter the code and turn the deadbolt to open the shed.
The garbage can is to the right of the washer, and there should be a black garbage bag inside.
Extra black garbage bags are on the shelf in a box.
Recycling
The recycling cans are on the deck beside the playground. There should be 3 black cans:
1 can for refundable items
2 cans for cardboard, paper, and containers — these can all be mixed together because it is commercial recycling.
There is also a silver bin for stretch plastic and overwrap.
Please rinse all containers well before putting them in the recycling, as food residue can attract animals such as bears, skunks, and raccoons.
Please note: Pizza boxes and containers with food residue should go in the garbage, not the recycling.
We really appreciate your help with recycling. Our maintenance person has noticed that almost all of the recycling has been ending up in the garbage this year, which is unfortunate. Thank you for helping us keep as much out of the landfill as possible!
