There are two parks close to the house. Both offering boat launch, parking, picnic tables and a cove for swimming. The second park offers an additional playground, sandbox, volleyball, horseshoes, BBQ cabana, bathrooms and a special buoyed off area for small children to swim, splash and play. The loft has 1 queen, 2 twin beds and a youth bed, the downstairs bunk room with double bunk on bottom and twin on top. There is also a pack 'n' play crib stored in downstairs closet. House is great! The location was ideal for our hiking group. Host was awesome and thought of everything. I recommend staying here if you want to hike in the Staircase area or spend time on a Lake Cushman.

What a wonderful week at the lake. The cabin was perfect for our family get together. Lake view, close to two parks, room for our boat and cars, a running creek next to the deck, plenty of sleeping space for all, and in general, it had all the amenities we needed. We'll be back!

Outstanding! Had a short stay family reunion and couldn't have found a better place. Plenty of sleeping arrangements, beautiful cabin and well cared for. Had every amenity you could possibly need and real close to the lake. I took my boat and lots of room to park. Enjoyed the camp fire with the grandkids who of course made smores. The host is very responsive and we would definitely rent again.

This cabin was outstanding! Kimberly went out of her way to be helpful, and was easy to contact. The house is very well stocked with all you'd need to have a nice stay (minus your own food!). We loved the wrap-around porch and view of the lake. The beds were very comfortable.

We enjoyed 3 days at the lake house, the accommodations were perfect for 6 adults. The fire pit was fun too, the view and neighborhood is beautiful and quiet.

Great house, Kimberly! We stayed here with our 3 adult children, and it offered everything we needed. Our “kids” had privacy downstairs, and we had the master. Pool table provided fun competition! The kitchen was fully equipped. The house was spotless. We couldn’t have been more pleased.

This was truly an amazing stay. The cabin is lovely, beds are comfortable, shower was very nice. The pool table added another level of fun. The view of the lake was such a lovely sight. We took two short drives and found trails to explore. The private lake entrance is a stones throw. We booked another holiday the moment we left.

We loved our time on the Olympic peninsula. The kids enjoyed the deer, the creek, and the lake. Inside the setup is great for family time with a pool table, games, DVD’s and space. Great memories!

The cabin was beyond expectations! My friends and I had an absolutely amazing time! Even in the rainy months, there are so many things nearby to explore, and the privacy and cleanliness of the cabin was superb!

Beautiful location- we had never been to Lake Cushman before! We did happen to experience some winter weather, so the road off 101 became a little rough and icy, but we have AWD and 4WD vehicles so it wasn't an issue. The space was great and we had 8 adults (4 couples).
We lost power (the whole area did) due to a windstorm on the second to last day. To be fair, it was a really crazy week for weather in the PNW!
Kimberly was super communicative and made sure to check in before we checked in to the property to advise us of the weather and road conditions, which I really appreciated. I would definitely love to come back in the summer- we loved the place and the location and it was perfect for Christmas!

What a great place for a family vacation! Wonderful comfy family home with a lake view! Fire pit was a hit with my nieces..smores and stories. Walked to the lake every day and was able to have the family dog with us too! We'll be back for sure!!

Wonderful home! We were taking a short trip with the main purpose of hiking with our dog. This home was a delight for that. We all loved the stream and sitting on the deck. There was an awesome bed for the dog who slept soundly on it after a fine day's hiking. The 3 levels provided privacy for adults. Open kitchen/living/dining gave us plenty of together time. Thank you!

The place was absolutely darling. There were 5 of us total + 1 dog - there was so much space and even more space for additional friends for future trips. It was stocked with nearly everything we needed in the kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, the peacefulness of the location was perfect.. I really have no complaints. We will absolutely be back.
Kim is very easy to communicate with and was very helpful during our planning process. I appreciated the little gestures she had in the home like a binder full of activities to do in the area, endless DVDs to watch and the signage all over the game room.
Highly recommend this place for larger groups.

It was a pleasure renting Kimberly’s spacious cabin at Lake Cushman in the Mt Rose Village division. The place accommodated us all (7) very well! There is a loft upstairs that has a Queen bed and a single bed on either side. There’s even the cutest little bed for a toddler up there. The master bedroom is on the main floor right across from the bathroom, plus you’re really close to the kitchen and living room. A new bed will be installed in the main bedroom plus AC throughout, making this home very comfortable and worthwhile. Downstairs you’ll be surprised to find two sets of bunk beds, another separate room with a queen bed right by another bathroom. There is even a pool table downstairs! Kids and adults alike will love sitting out on the expansive deck by the gurgling creek, bordering the beautiful forest. We loved the proximity of the cabin to the pristine lake. I definitely recommend Kimberly’s Place to you!!

Our family of four was joined by my parents and had a great week at Lake Cushman. The location of Kimberly's place is awesome, just down from the small boat launch and in the Division 2 community with the larger park. The kitchen was well-supplied, including plastic wrap and foil. My 15 year-old son loved the pool table downstairs.

Kimberly’s cabin on the lake was ideal for my family and I to get away for the weekend! It was a great spot near the lake, with an awesome little creek in the property to entertain kids! Bigger and better than expected, and the communication from the owner was excellent. Would love to stay again, longer next time!

What a perfect location to escape from the world for a few days. Whether sitting in the balcony enjoying coffee whilst viewing the lake, hanging out by the huge fire pit or sitting around the kitchen table playing games this super spacious retreat in the woods delivered! The place was very clean and the layout of the house made you feel like you had it all to yourself.
I would definitely recommend Kimberly's property and we'll be coming back!

We had a great few days staying at the cabin. The closest lake access park is a few houses down, and the park seems to get sun for most of day-perfect for swimming. Took the kids to Hoodsport one day for ice cream (and aloe), hiked Staircase rapids at Olympic National Park, and enjoyed relaxing on the lovely deck. Very nice for relaxing and recharging.

This is our favorite place to visit every year. Lake cushman is beautiful. This is our 3rd year staying at Kimberly's cabin. This year we stayed a week which was longer then the past. We already booked for next year. The cabin is cozy and comindating. Kimberly is very communicative.

Wonderful place to stay
We had a great time staying here. House was great with plenty of room for the 5 of us. We hiked the Staircase rapids which was just a mile or so from the house and took trips to Rainier and the western side of Olympic, which is a bit of a drive. Fantastic place to stay though with great peaceful surroundings.

Great cabin by the lake
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It had a ton of beds. Great for multiple families. The kids had fun exploring in the woods and playing at the lake. The lake has a playground as well and area for swimming where the kids could touch.

A lovely place. Would recommend. Just a few concerns.
Everything was clean with two exceptions… the floor in the area between the downstairs and the kitchen island counter was very sticky. The BBQ grill wasn’t too bad but could have been cleaner.
The queen bed on the main floor needs a new mattress. My husband and I kept slipping into the middle.
The checkout instructions were unclear as listed in three different locations.
We throughly enjoyed the babbling brook beside the patio area.

This property is in an absolutely ideal location with easy access to great hiking trails, super spacious outdoor area with an awesome fire pit, and comfortable room layout. The kids had a blast running around outside and checking out the quiet lake. Highly recommend.
