Enjoy beautiful sunrises and all the luxuries that accompany beach side living. This two-bedroom ground floor condominium in Pono Kai is steps from a mile-long, sandy beach. This beautiful condominium has been privately owned, cared for, and enjoyed by us since 1982! We take pride in the quality and decor of our island home.
The two bedroom, two bath condominium comfortably sleeps six people. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds, and a queen-size hide-a-bed is in the living room. It is well equipped with dishes, pans, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, air conditioning, and Roku/cable TV. We provide a starter kit of paper products and 2 bath towels per person. Guests are responsible for their own laundry. Coin operated laundry facilities are conveniently located near our unit.

The Pona Kai resort was well maintained and beautiful. The ground level walk out to the beach was amazing and great for stepping out to catch the sun rise! The unit was clean and comfortable. We had access to beach chairs and boogie boards which was a bonus. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay in this unit again!

Owner indicated no hidden fees but the fees for VRBO and taxes and bunch more garbage fees were never mentioned. Check this location for windy and cold weather, not sure in the summer but my stay was May 17th to May 23rd.

The view was perfect. I felt like there might should be another ac in front bedroom , it was 81 degrees when we checked in. The patio door was very, very, very hard to open and close . I would recommend

The room was warm and muggy ẅhen we arrived. The unit has two a/c units. The master bedroom unit worked well, but the living room unit seemed to struggle to cool and it would turn off before the room was cooled to the set tempetaure. The second bedroom didn't cool, we had to set up two fans to blow cool air toward that bedroom. The unit and some bedding (quilts) had an odd smell. It only had one beach chair. The beach was very close (30 yards], that was nice. The outside a/c unit is located on the small patio, the warm exhaust from that blows on you when sitting on the patio, ouch! We enjoyed our stay, but I would stay elsewhere the next time i return to Hawaii.
