Situated in Norris Lake, this attractive house for $1,000 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Beautiful craftsman style home with large main level to include master suite with large master bath with walk in shower and soaking tub. Great room has soaring ship lap ceilings and gas fireplace with floor to ceiling stone surround. Hardwood floors are throughout most of the home. The kitchen features white maple cabinets and extremely large granite island and peninsula with corner windows and breathtaking view down past Stardust marina and out onto beautiful Norris Lake. There is an attached three season room adjacent to the kitchen with large dining table for 8 and conversation/tv area. This room also overlooks Stardust Marina and Norris Lake. Large laundry room on this level with huge pantry and second refrigerator. Second King sized bedroom also on the main level with attached full bath to include 5' tiled shower. Upstairs leads to a private "college themed" retreat with a King size bed, custom bunks to include 2 queens and 2 twin XL. We proudly support OSU, UK, UT and Purdue! There is also a TV space and full bath with 4' tiled shower. The lower level of this home is quite spectacular. There are two custom bunk rooms, each with 2 Queen beds and 2 Twin beds. The "Girls" bunk room has an attached "dorm style" bathroom! It has 2 private toilets, double sinks, and 2 walk in showers with a private changing room in each one. It is unique and one of a kind. The girls will love this space after a day on the lake. The "Boys" bunk room has an attached full bath to include a 4' shower. There is a very large rec room in between the bunk rooms with a TV/sofa area and ping pong table. There is also another full bath off the rec room to include a private shower/changing area and a second laundry room. The decks on this home are spectacular and just what one would want lakefront. Both upper and lower decks are fully covered and the lower deck is a "dry deck" due to the flooring on the main level deck. The main level deck has huge vaulted ceilings, fans, a grill and a TV. There is lots of seating on this deck that is just steps away from the lake with gorgeous views in all directions. There is a custom built, professional grade concrete staircase to the lake from the house. There is a very sturdy metal handrail all the way down and less than 70 steps to the shoreline. The dock includes 2 covered slips, one with a 6600# lift, and main level sun deck with a diving board and a staircase from the lake. This property has everything.... a great floor plan, outdoor living and the perfect location on Norris Lake. It is less than 10 miles and 15-20 minutes from I75 and 30 minutes to downtown Knoxville. An extra 20 minutes gets you to the Knoxville Zoo or into West Knoxville for awesome shopping and dining. We are neighbors with Stardust Marina and all that the marina has to offer is right next door. The home is located within a community and has great paved roads for morning or evening walks in a safe area. We have a private lot across the street from the house for extra cars or boat trailers. This home has been professionally designed to be the perfect lake house retreat. It is truly one of a kind and you'll want to see what this home has to offer. Summit House.. a Pinnacle of Perfection
From the moment I located this home on VRBO.. I knew right away it met all of my criteria…. spaciousness.. cleanliness.. location .. and beauty.. This property did not disappoint.. The pics online accurately depict the home’s interior design.. furniture.. and layout… and amenities..plenty of room for 3 families and more. Inside and out! The kids hung out downstairs in the spacious family room equipped with ping ping table, sofas and tv. We loved the bunk rooms and all of the numerous bathrooms within the home… The master bedroom and bath are gorgeous… very roomy …and with a touch of bling. The kitchen is well equipped with a variety of small kitchen appliances.. and numerous kitchen utensils and gadgets.. Well.. we cooked Thanksgiving dinner. .and . Kitchen perfect! . Too many cooks in the kitchen.. not a problem here.
The gas fireplace.. added an ambiance and warmth to the room… lovely!
The two covered porches provide cover.. and i imagine.. well used in warmer weather. We actually staged our Thanksgiving photos there with the lake in the background. Priceless!
The dock is fantastic. Children fished. Lake down in November.. but no problem accessing the dock.
We ventured to nearby Andersonville Municipal Park. Although freezing cold that day. We managed to play a game of tag football.
My family marveled at the marina close to the house. Restaurant not open in November… but a fun look see. and a good hike
I love the proximity of the home to Clinton and Knoxville.. but we were content to just stay put at Summit House.
More importantly.. the property manager gave us clear guidelines and instructions for the home and the check out procedure. Easy to contact if needed. fast response.. friendly .. and helpful.!! . You can tell the owners take pride in their home.. We look forward to another fabulous stay!

Christmas Family Getaway
This Lake House was everything! The house was exactly how it was described and pictured on VRBO. It had clear instructions in a binder of all the rules and directions. We had 18 people and we all fit comfortably. The house was decorated with holiday decor, so we didn't have to bring anything! The Christmas tree was beautiful! The views from the kitchen and balcony were amazing! To top off our awesome trip we ended up having a WHITE CHRISTMAS! The next day we weren't able to get out of the community due to icy roads, it took us an hour in a half trying to get back to the house that was only 10min away. It all turned out fine when we were helped by some very helpful neighbors who put some salt down on the road for us and it turns out that one of them help build the Summit Lake House and knew the owners. All was good we were prepared we had tons of food back at the house and we just enjoyed a night in! We made lasting memories there and are considering going back in the summer to enjoy the lake!

I've stayed in many VRBO homes and this home has one of the best equipped kitchens I've visited! Love that there was a griddle, crock pot, and both a coffee machine and Keurig. The only thing I wish we had was a second dishwasher because with 14 people we had to run and empty at least once a day. However this did NOT negatively affect our experience. We would highly recommend Summit House!

Summit House is Extraordinary and Superbly Stunning

The house was great, with all the amenities and pictures true to life. Kelley was extremely accommodating as host, particularly in regards to our group being non-family. She was responsive to all questions and requests, and we appreciate her generosity. Will definitely look back into this location if we plan to return in the future.

Graduation weekend House
Summit House was a perfect venue to house family and friends for UTK Graduation weekend. About 35 min from campus - easy drive and gorgeous views and home! If only the weather had cooperated more! We all had plenty of space to relax, unwind, visit and just “Be”! Beautifully decorated and details in every aspect! Kelly was a great owner to deal with! We will probably book again for another UTK Graduation Weekend!

Summit House: Best vacation hands down!!!
This was the best family vacation we have ever had, no questions asked! It's hard to put into words how magnificent this home is and how amazing the location is. The Andersonville area is absolutely beautiful to start with, the people in this area are very nice and so helpful, and the lake is breath taking! When I think of Andersonville I think of southern hospitality at it's finest. The owners Kelly and Don are incredible people and the community they have around their home is just as nice and helpful as they are. We had some minor questions about the Direct- TV and Don was on it! And got it resolved that day. But I assure you watching TV will be the last thing on your mind at this house. Kelly answered questions for us as well, gave us suggestions on places to go, and things to do if we wanted to get out of the house. The dock area is amazing, if you enjoy fishing and swimming I assure you this is the house for you! The dock is fully equipped with a diving board, easy ladder to get in and out of the water, a boat lift, and lots of room to fish, sun bathe, or just enjoy the view. The home is close to a marina which is great, but they do not sell fishing license, but Wal-Mart does! Wal-Mart was about 20 minutes away and there was another cute market about 10 minutes away. The house was made for families! The kitchen is amazing. It is the best stocked rental house we have ever stayed at. They have several different types of appliances, dishes, baking dishes, and several spices. The master bedroom and bathroom is amazing! The whole family just raved about how comfortable all the beds were. Don't let me forget about the decks on this home. We practically lived on the top deck! Stunning views, fans to keep you cool, awesome grill, and great eating areas out there as well. I loved this top deck a lot too because there are no stairs, its completely contained. So if you have children it is a great place for them to play and you know they cannot get down to the water. The top deck and kitchen have sonos speakers, which we thoroughly enjoyed. They spared no expense on this home. I work in design and I see all the work, detail, and love that was poured into making this home amazing. I could go on and on. I promise you will not regret renting this home. Our family will be back.

Perfect location for a family vacation
It was the perfect setting on Norris Lake. The home had all of the amenities needed. Furniture very comfortable for all ages. We loved the large kitchen for preparing meals together. The outside dock with lift made it easy to have our boat there. The kids spent hours swimming off the dock and enjoying the diving board.

Well equipped, good layout for multiple families
Summit House has lots of impressive details (listed below,) was very clean & well maintained, and the owner was very responsive to our questions ahead of time and day of arrival. We loved both the location on the lake and on land: no long ,no-wake zone to start your ride AND no boats zooming by as you try to swim off the dock, plus decent roads driving in, easier to find, close to boat ramp/marina. We've been renting houses at Norris for almost 10 years and this one is one of the best.
Items we loved:
Kitchen: very well equipped kitchen, HUGE pantry, plenty of counter space
Layout: great for large groups, multiple families. Size of decks & the furnishings were a nice plus. Plenty of bathrooms. Laundry rooms on two levels was a great bonus.
Dock: THE nicest dock we have had at a rental. Very nice concrete steps and walkway to get to dock. Plenty of space to tie up boats (we had 3, but could have fit 4,) large sunning area with numerous chairs, minimal bugs/cobwebs, easy to get back to when those pop-up thunderstorms move in, industrial grade (aka STURDY) ladder & diving board. Paddle boards were a hit with our group.

We left Summit House with nothing but amazing memories!
This was our third trip to Norris Lake so we're familiar with the area. The lake is huge! So much to explore and this was the first time staying in Andersonville. We preferred this part of the lake over La Follette where we stayed the last 2 years. The area seemed more scenic with less boat traffic, however, if you're up for a boat trip you can get to some pretty cool spots (cliffs to jump off, ropes to swing in) and marinas. We have kids ranging from ages 3 to 16 and they all had so much fun. The whole trip was incredibly adventurous.
The house.. WOW! Summit House was hands down the best home we've rented. There were delighters at every turn from the beautiful kitchen and great room, the lovely porch, boys and girls dorm like rooms and bathrooms, 2 laundry rooms, to even the placement of the outlets! The home fit all 16 of us very comfortably. The home owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. Don't be offended if they ask you some questions before accepting you as a renter. This home is brand new and they're looking for renters who are going to care for and love it as much as they do - and rightly so!
We typically do a Norris Lake trip every other year and we plan to return in 2020. If you're thinking about booking Summit House, do it now!

ON Point!!!
WOW WOW WOW. We can't say a bad word. Location is perfect. Honestly the best location on the lake. House is truly On Point! pics do it justice and, in person, it is clean and beautiful!!! The DOCK is awesomazing!!! The boat lift was perfect for our MasterCraft X30 and the additional slip just fit the other families Tri Tune perfectly. The dock diving board a big hit with the teens!
Kelly is attentive and helpful in every way.
Kitchen is well supplied and one would be a fool for complaining about this beautiful space to vacation on Lake Norris!

The accomodations st Summit House were perfect for my son's graduation celebration. We had plenty of room for our out of town guest and all my son's friends who came for the day at the lake. Love the downstairs space for the kids! The pantry off the kitchen was wonderful for our large gathering. Our favorite space was the back covered deck and the dock which is conveniently located to Stardust Marina. The owner's were very nice and answered any questions I had very promptly. We will be definitely staying again in September.

Perfect Lake Home!
Summit House was absolutely perfect for our long weekend trip with friends! Kelly the owner was super, and very attentive to our needs during our stay. The lake home is exactly as the description says! The home is beautiful inside and out! The kitchen is completely stocked, the bunk rooms are pretty cool and the dock is perfect for enjoying the sunshine! It was also very convenient to be right next to Stardust Marina for that quick bag of ice or to grab a bite to eat. Loved everything about Summit House, we will be back, no doubt!

We had our yearly family retreat there over the new years holiday. The home was perfect for the 18 people we had stay there. Everything was first class. The area for the kids in the basement are especially well designed. The owner was very helpful and responsive to any needs we had.
