About this condo rental
MINIMUM TWO NIGHTS.......... ***We ARE NOT on the beach** photo of beach is one of our Seaside Beach Pavilions where you can easily walk and relax.. My Picasso Sun is not fancy and is Small and Cozy..but extremely efficient and location is Primo! This unit is perfect for A COUPLE ONLY....or One person..not for children or teens ..no exceptions ......If you have children, please take a look at VRBO Listing #58131 my Picasso Moon....and if you are looking for a larger unit. NO PETS!.....Please do not even ask..answer will always be no due to the fact that I have many guests who are highly allergic...... I do not charge automatically for use of pools and fitness..that is added ONLY if you wish to use at $25/day for two passes AND.. we can offer designated parking for $20 for your entire stay. The parking is less than two blocks from my unit , please request more info if interested. Also... if you are wishing to reserve chairs and umbrellas at the beach, you will need to go online and reserve.... cabanaman.com You are in the heart of everything, do not need to drive anywhere...just park and enjoy. Although we ARE NOT on the beach, we are just a short stroll to the water's edge! Imagine... just walk out from your cozy and very much like a European or Paris 'flat' (which we refer to as Picasso Sun) to the rooftop and view all of Seaside and the Gulf of Mexico... put together an intimate dinner with candlelight under the stars, or dash out the door, walk to Bud and Alleys Restaurant and let them cook for you. You can also take a leisurely stroll down the pedestrian street (which is in front of the 'Picasso Sun') to unique boutiques and art galleries which are less than a few hundred yards away. The possibilities are limited only to your imagination. ** If you would like for me to provide a bottle of champagne or flowers or whatever might bring a smile to your companion's face, just let me know in advance and I'll take care of it and add it to your final bill. ** PLEASE CHECK CALENDAR IT IS UPDATED! TWO (2) NIGHT MINIMUM Now... you can focus on your living SPACE at my PIcasso sun, which is a two room unit designed with an industrial SOHO, New York loft style architecture...some folks consider it more European style....I have even had a recent guest describe it like a flat they had in Paris! Only one bedroom with a queen bed, very cozy . The compact living/dining/kitchen area is equipped with a small stove, small refrigerator and microwave. If you are looking for an upscale Ritzz Carlton type unit....WE ARE NOT.... All linens are included with your stay. We have no balconies, however,the open rooftop can be accessed easily out your door and up the stairs We are not the typical Condo style unit and we are not the typical beachside community. Seaside has so much to offer for a vacation or weekend getaway. It feels like a small European village with parks and shops and the gorgeous emerald green GULF OF MEXICO at your disposal. You can hear the bell ring when sunset officially falls and night begins. An outdoor theater is provided and once during the week you can see movies under the stars with outdoor concerts in the park area. Sorry, pets and smoking are NOT allowed in our 'Picasso Sun.' The property was in the center of Seaside which allowed us to walk everywhere and enjoy the beach and nearby shops and restaurants! The property itself is exactly as pictured and described. It’s a little small, but it’s the perfect size for 2 people! There’s also great water pressure in the shower which is a must after a long beach day. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Seaside!

Parking is a huge concern. There is a difference between residential/commercial parking and the difference is unclear until you get a parking citation.
The unit is best for one person. Bring extra toilet paper and your own wash cloth and sheets.

Needed a place for me and one friend. It was a great location right in the heart of seaside. It was raining the whole time we were there but I’m sure the rooftop deck would have been fun to have a drink on!

You cannot beat the location of Picasso Sun. Close to EVERYTHING! With that, does come thin walls- surrounded by neighbors and street noise- just bring a white noise app to sleep:)

First time stay in the Seaside Development was wonderful! The unit access is easy with close parking. Included parking pass and secure beach access is a plus. The unit works well for two people and all the necessary living needs are available. You are right in the heart of the main Seaside Development retail and gathering area and within walking distance to the neighboring Watercolor Development. We will return again in the future.

So, if you are looking for location location location then stop reading right now. It is in the center of seaside. If you are looking for anything luxurious this might not be your place. We had to buy a foam thing to put on the swayed mattress so we could sleep.and two sleeping pillows that weren’t hard foam. There is no storage in the bathroom at all, so it is difficult to get ready. There is a small chest to store some clothes but the drawers are hard to pull out,—very few hooks on the walls for hanging up anything ( not even your towel) so everything is always laying on the floor. If you want to watch tv there isn’t one on the main area, so you have to lay in bed to do it. It is hard to park too. A fight for a parking place near the condo. The property owner is very kind and nice. That was a plus, but the place could be improved with a few additions and updates so that the atmosphere of the place isn’t always messy . Kitchen is adequately appointed. It could be an easier living space with just a little attention of some standard utilitarian items. Take some command hooks, a foam mattress pad, a blanket from home and your own pillows and your stay might be easier than ours.

Loved this location! So central and right above/walking distance lots of shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the beach as well. Super cozy and great communication from the host, Bert.

Great Location
Although we expected a better view, our stay was just fine. It had everything we needed, was attractive, and was near the chapel where we attended a wedding. We will certainly stay again during future visits.

Fabulous Location!
Very cozy efficiency style apartment. Has a dorm size refrigerator and small oven . The only slight issue we had was that the smoke alarm goes off while taking a shower. The first time it was quite alarming… pun intended. You can’t beat the location if a single person or a couple wants to be in the heart is Seaside . The rooftop area has a wonderful view. Will definitely be back .

Picasso Sun is an adorable condo perfect for a couple. The roof top area has loads of seating with a lovely view of the Gulf and Seaside.
The condo has nice touches to make your stay comfortable - there are places to hang clothes, a large shelved closet and a dresser. The toilet is behind its own door - so privacy ! The fridge holds wine, soda, fruit - plenty of room for your snacks, etc.
The condo does show its age just a bit - electric plugs are loose, floor coverings that have seen better days, but also wonderful artsy touches throughout.
TV instructions and perhaps clearer instructions for beach access codes would be a nice to have; however Bert responded immediately to my text requests concerning both matters.
There is a propane fired fire pit on the roof which was out of fuel but we hadn’t expected the fire pit in the first place.
Overall this condo is great value for the rental cost. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This little apartment/efficiency is first of all, wonderfully decorated and just a really pleasant place to come back to after a full day outdoors, or even stay in if the weather isn't cooperating. It was spotless upon arrival. My wife and I both had a lot of work during the early parts of each of our six days. Wifi was super fast. We enjoyed quick lunches on the rooftop (recommend Modica Market right in the Seaside circle for variety and eclectic international foods). We were on vacation, so we chose to not cook anything, but the efficiency kitchenette is fine if you do. Refrigerator held plenty of stuff for 2, etc. As usual, we loved the Great Southern food and feel they were doing a good job overall re. Covid precautions.
We'll consider this unit again if we do other quick getaways to the ocean!
Only quibble is during peak times we couldn't park in the associated lot. There are several 'reserved' spaces. Would be nice if registered guests had the same guarantee. It was a short walk to available public parking, but even those can get jammed up quickly. If you go to Seaside on a busy week, have patience.
