Newly Renovated Log Cabin. Private Bass Fishing Pond on 10 Acres

Great visit

Everything was great! Just as advertised. We didn't catch any fish, but I think that had to do with the weather and the time of year. Going to come back in the summer and try again!! Thank you!!!!

The host was great! Instructions were clear, amenities were fabulous! They even put a Christmas tree and decorations up before our arrival which were so appreciated! The cabin was super cute, warm and welcoming!

We wish we could rate Tom, the property, and the house separately. Tom was very responsive and a great host. He met us at check-in and showed us where to find things. Minutes later, when we discovered the broken toilet handle, he had it fixed by the next morning. He lives next door to the property, so when we needed vanilla to make pie (we stayed over thanksgiving) he let us borrow some. He also helped us troubleshoot the tankless water heater when our shower turned cold. The land was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed walking around the pond and skipping rocks. Unfortunately, the biggest problem with the property was cleanliness. Cobwebs hung between kitchen utensils, inside closets, and in ceiling corners, sometimes with dead spiders attached. Some plastic cups (stacked and stored in the cabinets) had dried soda in them. Random items were found all over the house. For example, while sitting in a recliner, I could see two inside-out socks underneath the couch. We found a couple pennies and toys lying around, and I noticed someone's visor poking out from underneath the bed. The bathroom sink's hair catcher was grimy, so it didn't drain well. The spare pillows had stains on them. The clencher was when we removed the sheets (per check-out routine), and a small dead lizard fell to the floor. I'm not scared of spiderswebs, lizards or dirty cups, but I would expect those things when I'm camping, not staying at a VRBO. Unfortunately, we probably won't stay here again.
