Situated in Alexandria Bay, this attractive cottage for $225 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Welcome to the Ledges Resort & Marina! We are located on the St. Lawrence River across from Boldt Castle and Sunken Rock Lighthouse. We have ten cottages of various sizes spread throughout the property. Six acres of landscaped grounds and gardens wander along the river for your enjoyment. We have decks, hammocks, and gazebos along the water. The large in-ground pool is newly renovated. Each cottage has their own firepit with Adirondak chairs, and we provide firewood for free! High speed Wi-Fi is in every cottage and throughout the grounds. Each cottage has an outdoor dining area and gas grill. There are plenty of open lawn areas to play catch and yard games. Or just take a leisurely walk to enjoy the many gardens throughout the property. Canoes and kayaks are available to Ledges guests at no charge. We have boat rentals on site. We also offer guided scenic tours in an antique wooden boat! Or if you want to bring your own boat, dockage is available for $2 per foot/per night. Dock slips include power and water hook-ups. We have plenty space to park your boat trailer, and there are three free public launch ramps within one mile of us. Each cottage is fully prepped and stocked with anything you would need. All beds are made up with fresh sheets, blankets, and comforters. The bathrooms are set with fresh bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, a bathmat, and luxury toiletries. The kitchens have everything you need including pots, pans, silverware and dishes. They have a micowave, drip-coffee maker, toaster, blender, and tea kettle. You will also find kitchen basics like dish soap, tin foil, dish sponges, paper towels, salt, pepper, and other items. From The Ledges it is an easy one mile walk to the center of downtown Alexandria Bay. You will have easy access to shopping, dining, tours, parks, and attractions. There is a new public playground right on our street. Downtown you fill find scenic view park. It has a public beach for river swimming, a playground, and a large pavilion on the water. With our location and six acres of private grounds we offer a level of peace, space, and privacy that you won’t find at a hotel. At the Ledges you have the best of both worlds, relaxation and convenience! The Ledges is a dog friendly resort. We do require dogs to be kept on a leash at all times, be cleaned up after, and kept off all furniture. Owners must be responsible and make sure their dogs do not cause noise or disturbances to other guests. There is a $35 per night/per dog fee. ____________________________________________________________________________ This listing is for the Shipwatch Cottage. There are two bedrooms with a queen bed in each. The living room also has a pull-out sofa with a memory foam mattress. The bathroom is fully tiled, has a frame-less glass door, and a rain shower head. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything including a dishwasher. The living room has a large stone corner fireplace. There is a long eat-in counter area with a beautiful view of the river. French doors lead out to a large deck and dining area. We had a wonderful time with Family at the Ledges. Everything was Perfect. Well supplied cottage, clean and comfortable, wood and starter kindling for fit pit and right next door to our fishing charter "Reel Commander". We will be back for sure.

The property is well cared for with special touches to make you feel right at home. Many amenities makes it easy to come and stay without having to pack alot of extra things. The fire pit was stocked with wood and we noticed that it was replenished. We will definitely return again.

The cottage was clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, and the property/grounds were inviting and decorated so nicely for fall. It was easy to take our Golden Retriever outside to do his business. The firepits are such a nice addition! I can imagine coming back in the summer when the pool is open.

Beautiful, clean, modern cottage. Breathtaking views. Hosts kept us in loop for checking in early, boat and jetski docking, pictures of where turn on water to dock at cottage, easy check out. Nightly fire wood provided for fires. Peaceful grounds. A true gem!

Absolutely loved the place and location. Quiet but not too quiet. I was so impressed by how lovely the grounds were. So well taken care of and filled with photo opportunities! Being able to have our dog with us was very appreciated otherwise we would not have come. The owners (managers) not sure which They were, were very quick to answer any questions we had. My only suggestions would be for a grab bar in the shower so it would truly be handicap accessible and a larger bed in the master. Not sure if it was a queen but a king would have been fabulous. Will definitely be back!!! Thanks so much

My husband and I had a great time, the property is at a fantastic location overlooking Boldt Castle. Each cottage has its own fire pit with firewood provided. The property was very clean, virtual check in was easy and we enjoyed our stay.

A great getaway

A great getaway

We stayed at The Shipwatch for the weekend. Nick and Amy have lovingly created a charming, cozy place by the water in Alexandria Bay. The cottage is so sweet, with all the necessities. The two rooms are sufficient, comfortable queen size bed in each room. The living room and kitchen are not large, but if the weather has been nicer, we would have been outside roaming the beautiful outdoor space with Adirondack chairs, fire pits, and gazebo. Nice touches, such as rain shower, good coffee, cute dishes, nice linens, etc. A lovely stay.

I booked the Shipwatch cabin and was not disappointed . The cabin was decorated beautifully with all the amenities and was very comfortable .I especially loved the rain head shower arm in the bathroom which was a very nice touch and gave me the most relaxing shower. I now have to buy one for my bath... Loved the Adirondack chairs surrounding the Fire Pit ,and thought it was great that fresh wood was provided to make a very nice fire as well.. Also, loved the outdoor pool , and the gazebos on the premises .My guests and I enjoyed the property very much and would love to go back . We couldn't ask for a better weekend. A big thank you to Ainsley for helping me with the TV, and the owners for doing a great job maintaining the property . Cindy T.

Perfect blend of close to town while still a million miles away! Nicely maintained property with lots of room to roam, firewood delivered nightly to use in your own personal fire pit. The young couple who owned and maintain the grounds make themselves very available for any problems or questions. Our cabin was very cutely decorated and kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked

It’s the perfect relaxing stay! The pool was so enjoyable! The fire pit was always fully stocked by the staff, which was a pleasant surprise! Anytime we needed anything, help came within 5 minutes! Clean, beautiful house and location! Thank you so much for a fabulous experience! We cannot wait to come again!

A pleasant surprise

Beautiful clean property. We were supposed to stay in Boathouse 3, but due to circumstances beyond the owners control (Mother Nature decided to flood the river this Spring), we were upgraded to Shipwatch cottage. Cannot say we were dissapointed in any way. We were met by a worker on our arrival who took us to the cottage. Sorry we can't remember her name, but she was extremely pleasant and offered a lot of information about the area. The overall property is clean and well kept, some of the views of Boldt Castle in the evening are spectacular. We met Nick and Amy who are very nice. Nick even came around and put the AC units back in because of the warmer weather for the weekend (much appreciated). We are already planning on returning next year. Thank you for your hospitality. Nick and Amy were very accommodating last minute reservations for our family. We have young kids and they were entertained with plenty to do between the pool and fires while on the grounds. The cottage was clean and up to date with plenty of space for everyone. We will definitely be back.
