About this house rental
Located in Miramar Beach, this attractive house for $1,130 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Beautiful, 5 star Cape Cod beachfront home on the beautiful, emerald-green crystal clear waters of the Gulf coast. You will sink your feet into white powdery sand that is just gorgeous and all yours for your vacation pleasure. There are only 5 stairs to enter the home, and big open areas on main level., so very comfortable home without having to climb up a bunch of stairs. Our beach cottage has a white picket fence in the front yard with beautiful flowers blooming and swaying palm trees! It is beautifully appointed and has been updated with new furnishings, paint and decorations. It features triple crown molding in all rooms, travertine tile on all floors, and granite on all counter tops throughout. Beautifully done! Our home has wooden window blinds,vertical blinds, and living room drapes for added beauty. Guests will enjoy a large living/dining/kitchen open area with complete ocean viewing! The living and all bedrooms have flat screen smart tvs with utube TV, There is plenty of comfortable seating for lots of people. The sectional has a queen sleeper, The speed of the internet is excellent for guests to stream away! There are multiple USB charges as well. The large kitchen with table kitchen table for 6 and a separate dining table is located in the living area with seating for 8/10. The kitchen is always a gathering spot, and you will be enjoying a huge kitchen complete with all amenities. Truly a must if you enjoy cooking and plan to eat a few meals at home! There is a king bedroom on main level and has a large flat screen tv and very large room with full wall of windows view of the ocean. This master has a bathroom that has a small transom window for watching the ocean as you shower! It has a rain shower and a wall shower, but no tub. The other bedroom on main level is a bunk room with two full size and two twin size bunks and a large flat smart tv on wall. All of the bunks have their own usb outlets and wall lights. It has a private entrance to a bath that has a tub/shower. It is not gulf front, but you have a complete view of the ocean from it's bay window. The laundry room is on the main level with separate washer and dryer, and ironing board. The upstairs master has it's own private balcony and a 43 inch smart tv. It also has only a large tiled shower in the bath, but no tub. There is a full size and portable crib stored in the walk in closet in this room. The room is very large and has it's own balcony to enjoy your coffee while watching the dolphins play. The other gulf front bedroom upstairs was designed with children or teens in mind. It has two queen beds plus a twin bed, so 5 people can easily sleep in this room. It also has a tv mounted on the wall so all in the beds can view the tv. It's tiled and marbled bath also has a shower, but no tub. The main level balcony is covered and, and you will enjoy a teak table, and chairs plus two rockers and 2 chaise loungers.. All for your sunning and viewing pleasure, and watching the kiddies on the beach. there are gates for all entrances to the beach for protection of the children. Plus, there are two beach umbrellas and 4 beach chairs set up for you each morning on your private beach from March-October. Downstairs there is a large covered porch with an outdoor, private shower. Men and children love taking showers in this bath!!! There is room for sunning in chaise lounges on this level, or enjoying a sun free covered porch with a swing and enough tables and chairs to seat over 20 people. There is a refrigerator/freezer so you don't have to keep running upstairs for a cool drink! You are within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Kayak, bike, and scooter rentals are directly across the street. There is a convenience store just steps away, a good pizza place, (which also serves breakfasts), and a dairy queen just across the street as well as as beach store. This strip mall has everything! And, if you want wonderful gourmet coffees, step across the street to the Bad Ass Cafe...Wonderful place for breakfast, or walk down the beach to the Whale's Tail for breakfast or lunch. The largest upscale outlet mall in the country is less than two miles away as well as two grocery stores, drug stores, etc. You will fall in love with this two story adorable beach cottage and want to call it your own. Just a few stairs to climb in the home so it is perfect for small kids and elderly. We have gates from the balcony to the lower level, and from the front door to the walkway to the deck on side of house. This is where the grill is located. We also have gates for use of the stairs in the main living area so little ones can't crawl up or down. We live in Destin for the winter months and in Cashier's NC for the summer months, but our daughter in law is always standing by to take care of any needs you have, plus Ocean Reef also manages our property so they are there to help. And. I am always just a text/ phone away, email, from you! This is a no smoking home. Non shedding small pets are allowed with owner's permission. There is a pet fee of $200. Up to 5 large cars or suv's can park; 4 in the paved driveway, and one in front of the house The calendar on vrbo is CURRENT except for weeks that I am awaiting rental agreements, so please check the vrbo calendar before emailing me. Cape Monaco is truly a spectacular property, and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet beachfront location in Destin, Florida. It is exactly as described in the listing. The house is well maintained and located directly on the beautiful beach with beachfront access. Grocery stores, restaurants and shopping were also conveniently close by, which was an added plus. The white sand beach was amazing and the views from the house were simply stunning! The house is beautifully appointed, and you can tell great thought has been put into how the house is furnished, decorated and the amenities provided. We have a large family and we cooked several meals and never once found ourselves saying I wish we had this or that.
Communication with the host prior to arriving was great as well as during our stay as we had some pretty serious inclement weather while we were there, and they reached out immediately to ask if there was anything that we needed or if anything needed to be repaired/addressed as a result.
We had an exceptionally wonderful time on our trip even with the rain and inclement weather and if we ever plan another trip to Destin in the future, we will certainly hope to rebook this property.

Falsely advertised. We rented this home the week of Thanksgiving. The house is in major disrepair. The furniture, rugs, walls, doors and commodes were filthy. The stair banister and doors were black with dirt and had never been cleaned! The commodes had urine and residue! The runner rugs need to be thrown out! We left the house cleaner than upon our arrival! The kitchen offers very little in terms of cookware/serving dishes. The heater went out because of an overload on the electric breaker and the breakers trip often. We had 60degree temps in the house for two days/nights before someone came. Hot water was intermittent at best. The H20 heater was replaced the day we left. We had several roaches in our rooms! This host/owner will respond to this review by saying that she handled issues as they came up and was attentive. Irrelevant. I requested a reimbursement of our cleaning fee and partial reimbursement of our rental rate due to the entire week's experience. The host replied to my email by saying she handled the issues as they came up and would not reimburse a dime. Not even the the high cleaning fee! This home needs repair work, a deep cleaning and new furniture. Don't rent this property, at the rate you can find far better! Our stay should've been seamless. It was gross. This host is taking advantage of people and denying any wrongdoing by claiming to address things promptly. With all the rentals in Miramar, do yourself a favor and find another one!

We had a wonderful vacation. This property was a wonderful choice. The house itself was perfect for expectations of our upcoming vacation when searching. Definitely recommend to anyone.

I cant say enough good things about this home and our stay there. The home was beautiful and welcoming, clean, and cozy. It was the perfect size for our family. The beds were super comfortable, beautifully furnished, alot of seating inside and outside of home, steps from the beach. It was an amazingly private area to be married on as well! Everyone who stayed fell in love with this home. I will definitely be back to stay here again! I personally loved the location, it was a wonderful week, thank you!

The home is very well appointed and beautifully decorated, great location and awesome vistas. We did have a few issues with the tvs and air conditioning. The issue with the tvs was resolved on Monday of our stay which is when we addressed the air conditioning with the property manager. She called their hvac maintenance - the air conditioning was colder but everything felt damp.

We have come to Miramar Beach for years and stay in different houses. The location of this house has been the best so far. But just that it is water/beach front but it’s separated just enough from the other homes/condos that it creates an experience where your particular segment of the beach is much less crowded. Additionally, we had a couple of issues pop up (these things happen) and the property manager/owner addressed them right away. Phenomenal customer service. We will definitely rent here again!

The property wasn't quite what we were expecting after looking at pictures and reading other reviews. There were some updates that were nice. To be specific the house needs a good cleaning. All of the sliding doors were really hard to open and close accept for one. We had a few mishaps with things in the house and I felt like things could've been taken care of quicker. The fridge downstairs quit working and it was never addressed which was to bad. The location is awesome as it is beach front and lots of things so close you can walk! All in all it is a good home and I would recommend for a family vaca.

17 family member (2-72) spending a week together right on the beach. There was plenty of room for togetherness and also for those that wanted quiet time. The bunk room was great for the kids and they had a place to retreat. We could sit on the deck in the morning and watch dolphins and flying fish. Great family vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was laid out exceptionally well with an open floor plan. Plenty of room!
Our favorite was the bottom floor with outdoor shower. Everyone loved hanging out there! You could easily have fit 20 people in for an outdoor gathering.
The location was excellent. Golf cart rental was right across street. We never used our car. We could go to restaurants, grocery store, drug store all in the golf cart. There were several places to eat within walking differences.
The view from the house was beautiful. We will definitely be returning here in the near future. You won’t be disappointed!

Great location - away from the towers and crowds but great shops and food across the street. The kids loved bunk room! Clean chairs and umbrellas delivered to the beach daily made it easy. The home is obviously continuously upgraded and maintained. 5 stars!

We had a Wonderful Week at Cape Monaco -It's such a Beautiful Property. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had access to a working washer & dryer. They notified us prior to arrival on Friday of the issue as well. John was so nice & accommodating! We appreciate all their efforts on our behalf. We all returned home after thoroughly enjoying the beach, seafood, sunshine and much needed time together with family. Thanks so much John & Bev!

I can't begin to recap all the things we enjoyed about Cape Monaco, but I'll do my best. The location was absolutely fantastic. We definitely had a prime location on the beach and convenient access to souvenirs, coffee and food!!! I parked the car when we arrived, and it didn't move until we left a week later. The house fit our needs perfectly from the bunk rooms, to the ensuite bathrooms, and stocked kitchen. The beach service was also a nice touch. We always had "OUR" spot on the beach!!! Additionally, our section of the beach never felt crowded. Thanks again and we will definitely be back!!!

We just competed a wonderful two week stay at Cape Monaco! Three words...location, location, location!!! The other reviewers were correct this beautiful oceanfront home is in a perfect location...in a much less commercial and crowded area than Destin. And we loved having great restaurants within easy walking distance...Pascalli's kitchen for pizza right across the street, and Pompano Joe's and Whale's Tail within easy walking distance for nice oceanfront dining.
This home is so beautiful, the pictures don't do the million dollar oceanfront views/sunsets justice. And the owners, Bev and John, and their daughter-in-law, Maria, are the most fantastic home owners we have ever had the pleasure of meeting! From the day we checked in, they called to see if we needed anything, and provided cell numbers if anything came up, and they were very quick to respond to any questions. You can't ask for better or more responsive owners...the communication was excellent before and throughout our stay!
In addition to a great location, we look for an exceptionally clean property and comfy beds. And Cape Monaco definitely checked those boxes too - it was the cleanest home we've ever rented and we slept great in the comfy beds!
Bev and John have put a lot of extra effort into many beautiful, high quality upgrades in the home - they had just added stunning new kitchen and master bedroom cabinets and quartz countertops right before our stay.
As beautiful and charming as the home is, what makes it stunning are the direct oceanfront views! You have THREE porches that directly overlook the gulf...and plenty of comfy loungers for family members enjoying the sun, and also a porch swing and tables/chairs under a covered porch if you've had enough sun for the day, but still want to enjoy the beautiful oceanfront views.
Bev and John also go the extra mile to spoil you by providing complimentary beach chairs/umbrellas set up for you every day beginning in March!
As I read the reviews for this home before we stayed there, what impressed me is how many renters return again and again to stay in John and Bev's beautiful Cape Monaco home. Now having stayed there, we get it...as we too look forward to a return stay at Cape Monaco!

Loved the property. Incredibly close to everything we needed. Restaurants, shopping, etc. Pet friendly was a plus for us. And the direct access to the beach was fabulous. Walk down the stairs and you were on the beach. Didn't have to worry about a hundred beach chairs in your way like at a resort. Very private.

This house was one of the best we have stayed at in Destin. It was just steps to the beach on your private path. The house was nicely updated and had everything we needed. There was a store across the street for any last minute things you might have forgotten and easy access to ice. The coffee shop was fun to have so close and there were two restaurants within walking distance. The chairs provided on the beach was a huge perk!! Overall we had a great time!!!

Easy check in with great flow of information regarding stay and local places to visit. One small hiccup with AC that was handled quickly and effectively. The best place I’ve stayed with the greatest hosts, clear water, white beaches and most comfortable home to stay in for the week. I will be a returning guest for as long as it’s available.

Our summer came to an end with a fantastic beach vacation at Cape Monaco. The house was beautifully decorated and fully stocked with every amenity we would need for our holiday. An unexpected bonus was the lower deck which was perfect for chilling after a day at the beach or for an evening of games by the dunes...there is even a fridge so you're never too far from a cold beverage. Oh yes...the beach...there is a small dune to cross and just a few steps to get your toes wet in the Emerald water. The beach is about as private as you can get in Destin as there are no large condo's in the vicinity and public beaches are about a half mile away. Convenience is also a key ingredient here as the grocery store is just a few blocks away and a convenience store at the end of the block. Absolutely fabulous ...we'll be back.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Bed was very comfy (we have back issues and we had no problem at all sleeping comfortably). The fenced yard made travel with a large dog so convenient! Location is great and the ocean views are beyond gorgeous. It’s right on the beach and close to coffee and restaurants. I think one or two families could share the space. The place is not really fancy, but very nice, clean and comfortable. Everything worked. The dishes and cooking equipment might not be enough for you if you like to cook most meals for a family or indulge in serious gourmet cooking. Cooking facilities were fine for us—but we mostly bring in food from the great restaurants around Destin! Air conditioning kept us very cool in August! We plan to stay here again the next time we bring our dog with us. We are grateful to property owners who are kind enough to allow pets. So many don’t. We have rented our own properties to parties with pets and parties with small children—and I gotta say the kids are usually far more destructive than the pets!

We loved our stay at Cape Monaco! It is so very difficult to find a place for a large group, located right on the beach AND that will let you bring along the family pooch but this one did all of that and more. Amazing! The location cannot be beat with the beach literally just steps away from the back door. Plus there is a fenced yard as well as fencing along the balcony so our dog was able to join us outside and stay safe from the busy street. A truly amazing find! Whale’s Tail, one of our favorite places to eat, was within walking distance. We enjoyed the daily beach service that was included and was super impressed to realize there were enough chairs and umbrellas for everyone. Bev, the owner, was super quick in replying to any questions I had and Maria, the manager, was absolutely amazing. She too was quick to reply and went above and beyond to address any concerns that came up. Overall it was great vacation and Cape Monaco helped make it so! Plenty of room, beautiful views and right on the beach. Can’t beat it! Wish we were still there!

This property was very nice, clean, and everything you could want or need for a vacation. The beach is just out the back door and chairs and umbrellas were set up on the beach daily. It came with cribs, baby gates, games. It's great for a family vacation!

The house was perfect for our family vacation! We felt completely at home, the kitchen was well stocked, the kids loved the bunk room and the ocean view from the back balcony is amazing! Having the umbrellas and beach chairs set up each day was a luxury service that we loved! The short walk to our beach spot every day was the cherry on top of an already amazing house and location!

My family of 6 (2 adults, 4 kids 4-12) loved this house. I had not been to the Destin area in 20+ years, so we had no idea if the Miramar area was good. We just loved the house from the pictures.
During the week, we drove all through Destin and down to Seaside, and I can now say that this area is PERFECT for my family!! Seaside was way too slammed with people, and Destin felt too commercial. The beach was not crowded at all compared to the resort areas in each direction. We had a negative experience at the souvenir store across the street, but otherwise all the little local spots within walking distance made it even more fun.
The hosts were extremely responsive and welcoming if we had questions. And the house was just perfect!! Kids loved the bunk beds, the many TVS and of course the beach in "our" backyard. We adults appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, the multiple rooms with a view and the TONS of outdoor seating. Even the chair service - an amenity I never feel I NEED - was fantastic, and now I'm totally spoiled. I just want another week to read another book and enjoy the porch swing a little more!

We had 4 families... 8 adults and 10 kids ranging from 3-10 years old. We never felt on top of each other at all! The open concept kitchen/ living space, four full bathrooms and 2 outdoor decks gave everyone plenty of space to move throughout. The chair and umbrella service everyday was amazing! It was just one less to worry about! The location was also so convenient. We were right across the street from a dairy queen, golfcart/bike rental, Bad Ass coffee which I highly recommend and another sandwich/ breakfast spot! The Whales Tail, a restaurant/bar was a daily stop right down the beach for Amazing Drinks!!! No shoes required, haha! Bev was very accessible when we had a minor problem with a battery in the digital lock on the front door. It was remedied immediately. We were very impressed with that! I could not recommend this place enough! We are looking forward to staying there again.

We had bad weather most of the week, but we had a great time at the rental house. There is still plenty to do at the house and surrounding areas. The house had plenty of space for the family to enjoy time together and also space to relax on their own.
Balconies were perfect to get outside and relax while enjoying the sun and beach. House is beautiful and the location was perfect! Will definitely stay here again! Thank you John and Bev!~

We had seven adults and four littles and we all agree we would stay there again! We we're especially grateful for the beach chair/umbrella service every day and plenty of towels and soap! Kitchen was pretty well stocked although we really needed a large baking dish. We had to go out and buy aluminum pans just so we could bake some chicken. We really appreciated the full size crib, pack and play, high chair, and lots of beach toys. Plenty of great communication with Bev and Maria. Highly recommend!

House was beautiful with enough room to spread out. Everything we needed was there. Gorgeous location, directly on beach. Coffee shop and lunch spot across the street. We did have a couple mechanical issues (dryer, door lock) but Maria was only a quick call away and problems were fixed! House does need a good deep cleaning and some cosmetic fixes but nothing unexpected for a house directly on the beach. Would stay again!

This house was exactly what our family needed.. the house is beautiful and provided lots of together time/ areas for the 12 of us while also allowing separate / getaway space.. the location to the beach was steps away… and shops and grocery stores close by.. I loved the slow pace of traffic on the street… the refridge on lower level was wonderful and convenient to get drinks and treats from the beach..there was several beach toys that we enjoyed… the beach chairs and umbrella service was a nice addition… we loved that the beach was not crowded only the renters from the others properties.( especially loved this when we drove by the public beaches and people were rows of chairs from the beach).. the beach / water was beautiful .. blue.. clear .. clean.. ( did not even seem too salty)..this is the prettiest beach we have been to( through the years we have been at Fort Walton.. Gulf Shores.. Perdido Bay.. but we hope to return here again there was enough parking for 4 cars… sometimes we stood in the road to get out but the drivers did not mind to allow us out.. we went to Fudpuckers and totally loved the alligators and went to Lulu’s and enjoyed the view and food.. the food at Fudpuckers was yummy!! My family is wanting to book again for 2023… since we are planning a family trip to the Grand Canyon in 2022 !!! We were blessed with the most wonderful weather and no rain or clouds the whole week!!! I’m family asked “how did you find this amazing place” and I am not sure how I was so fortunate to find the house out of all the listings but I was totally God led and blessed… thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!!!!
