Situated in Miramar Beach, this charming house for $935 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. “Down by the Sea” is brought to you exclusively by Beach Blue Properties. 72 Saint Francis Drive S, at Emerald Waters Village, Miramar Beach 5 BR-4BA Sleeps 20. “Down by the Sea” is our meticulously designed luxury vacation home specifically designed for extended families and large groups. It is conveniently located in Emerald Waters Village, which features the added security of entry and exit gates, and video surveillance. Renters will be provided access codes for all security features as well as access to the larger community swimming facility. Additionally, this home features a private swimming pool, with tanning deck, outdoor shower, and pool deck for relaxing/entertaining. Located 1 minute from “private deeded beach access”, this property features 3 king master suites (1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors), and two bunk rooms (2nd floor), which conveniently sleeps 20! Please see virtual tour for specific layout. 3 King Master Suites, 1 Queen Sofa, 2 Queen Bunks, 4 Double Bunks 2 Twin Bunks (convenient to 2nd floor king master). The open concept main level is perfect for vacationing families who want to spend time together! The main level features a custom kitchen with prep island, separate breakfast and dining areas, and a comfortable living area with plenty of comfortable seating and a 60" Smart HDTV. The open living space is located steps from the side porch and pool deck, which offers easy access to the pool. There is a spacious king bedroom with an en suite bathroom and walk-in closet on the main floor that is perfect for senior family members. For your convenience, the main level offers a full laundry room with new Speed Queen washer/dryer, extra fridge and freezer and a mud room thoughtfully designed for sandy beach clothes and shoes. The second level features an extra spacious Master King Suite with a sitting area which includes a sleeper sofa, generous closet space and a separate bunk room with 2 twin beds. The private master balcony offers peek views of the beach. To complete the master suite is a master bathroom designed with travertine stone that features a whirlpool tub, an oversized glass shower, and a double vanity. There are two additional bunk rooms. One bunk room has two queen bunk beds w/ a double bed trundle and the other bunk room has 4 double bed bunks w/ 2 twin trundles. These two bunk rooms share a hallway bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The third level is home to another King Master Suite with a large private balcony, a walk-in closet and peak views of the Gulf and romantic sunsets. There is an en suite bathroom with a whirlpool tub, a travertine stone and glass shower, and a double vanity. CANCELLATION: Reservations that are cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date receive a full refund. Reservations cancelled 14-29 days prior to arrival receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid. Guests are required to complete a rental agreement by electronic signature within 3 days of booking. Upon arrival the AC was not working but a repairman was contacted and cooling was functional. Noticed the floors were extremely dirty.
Called the property management and they sent a cleaning crew over to vacuum and mop. There was no propane gas for the grill. Contacted property management, and they sent someone over with a replacement. Dishwasher did not work, contacted property management and they sent a repair man over to fix the issue. Disappointed due to the issues and our understanding that an inspection was to be conducted prior to our arrival. Would not recommend this property or other properties associated to this management group even though they did correct the issues when notified.

Our family of 19 ranging in age from 1 to 66 enjoyed this house for 6 days in Aug. 2023. We also stayed in this house May 2021. Perfect for our large group. Close to the beach and the private pool was awesome. There was a problem with the A/C on the 2nd and 3rd floors, got really warm. Beach Blue had HVAC out the next morning (on a Sunday) to work on it. Still wasn’t cooling as it should, they came out again that afternoon and found another problem and it was fixed. They even came back the next day to make sure. We understand things happen but their customer service was awesome. It is a great house for a large group. We loved it and if we do another family vacation in Destin, this is where we’ll stay!

Where do I start!! The house was absolutely beautiful. The location was perfect and I can just go on and on about the size of the pool that was a great size for my large family. We had more than enough space for my family of 15! Unfortunately the weather was not that great but we spent that time at the house enjoying the various balcony views and the living space to spread out. Everything we needed was there and everything we wanted was in walking distance. I was beyond pleased with the availability of contacting and communicating with the rental office. I would love future updates of availability for this house as we love to come to Destin yearly. This house was a 10 out of 10 and Ihighly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay here.
Plenty of room for the 12 of us with empty beds still. Walked to the beach everyday (maybe 3 min walk), right next door to Alvin’s, ice cream, coffee place, restaurants.
Pool was nice with plenty of chairs.
House was fully stocked.
Beds were sooo comfy!

The house is great. Really nicely decorated and great set up for larger groups/multiple families. We were a party of 9 so a few extra beds. That said, it would feel cramped if there were 20 people in the party.
My big complaint is that for price I don’t expect to have to supply toilet paper, kitchen paper, dish soap, etc. In all the years I’ve stayed in a VRBO I’ve never had to supply these and have always found the kitchen had basic supplies - salt, pepper, oils, kitchen foil etc that admittedly other guests have left behind. I would also expect beach chairs and towels to be provided. I can’t believe we are the only guests to fly in and not be able to bring these things. Also to only have one kitchen towel and no kitchen cleaning supplies to wipe down the kitchen counter seems crazy. Just disappointing to have to spend a lot on basic kitchen supplies.
We also could have used the two/three chairs that were on the porch just off the main floor bedroom- but the exterior door in that room to the porch was locked (and no key) and no way to get to them. Exterior landscaping could be better maintained. It’s a great house but those small things would make a huge difference and wouldn’t cost the owner much to provide.
My final comment was that the house instructions supplied prior to arrival said no hair dryer was provided (again that’s a first) so we brought one with us - only to find three in the house. We had a great week despite these minor details

There was an infestation of bugs. We couldn’t even cook on the stove or oven because the bugs LITERALLY crawled out of the stove while we cooked and got in our pots and pans, I’ve never seen a bug infestation like this. The rental company came out and “treated” the house after we brought this issue up, but the bugs did not go away.

This home is huge, beautiful, and in a perfect location. I would definitely use them again.
As stated in reviews before, there does seem to be a bug problem. It is Florida and we are almost on the beach, so I feel like it is to be expected. The home was very clean. The tv controller didn’t work in the master bedroom. I do think they should supply more dishwasher detergent if they expect us to start the dishwasher when we leave. These are all small things that don’t take away from how great this property is.

The master bathrooms on the second and third floor were especially nice. The first floor living area is spacious and was great for our game nights. The second refrigerator in the laundry room was very helpful. The kitchen is well equipped, and we cooked in several times. The location is perfect, a very short walk to the beach and close to restaurants and attractions. I had reason to email the property manager with questions prior to our arrival. I sent my email on Friday night expecting a response on Monday. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a response almost immediately. I would definitely recommend both this house and this rental agent. We will be back.

Watch out for the roaches!
The location is great but the house was disappointing. First, without a common bathroom on the first floor, it’s an inconvenience to go to the second or third floor when you need to use the restroom. Also, the oven was broken so we were unable to use it (although a toaster oven was later brought to the house for our use). The worst part was that there were many roaches in the kitchen and first floor bedroom which is totally unacceptable! For the amount paid for this home during prime time, we expected much better.

Great location But!!
Great location, but can’t do the bugs and dirty pool!
This was our first trip to Florida. We had a great time. The beaches were beautiful, Crab Island was amazing, dolphin tour was a blast and everyone was great!
The house was OK! When we arrived, the house was very clean, pool was running and crystal clear. The evening we arrived we ended up unpacking and decided to order pizza. As everyone was eating, we started noticing roaches along the kitchen counters, they even got into our pizza and had to throw it away. At first we thought it may have came from the pizza! We decided to clean it all up and we put a plate of food out to see if there was more, and there was. This went on the whole trip. We contacted the people and they said they would come out and spray and we don’t think they ever did. We ended up putting all food in the refrigerator and not keep ANY open foods on the counter or in the pantry! We even noticed the roaches in the downstairs bedroom and bathroom!
The first night while we were hanging in the pool, we noticed rats running along the white trim of outside of the house. At first we thought we were seeing things, until we seen it again. My brother and son ended up going to the 2nd floor balcony and sure enough, there was one on there. We never noticed anything inside the house, but we made sure all doors were kept shut at all times!
The first 2 days the pool was crystal clear, circulating each day and staying clean. The rest of the days, the pump never turned on, the water level started dropping and the pool was very cloudy and unable to see the bottom. Thank goodness for the beautiful Miramar Beach, the water was clean, clear and cool!
Overall the house was very spacious for the amount of people we had. The location was great. Walking distance to the beach, souvenir shops and restaurants.
We will definitely be back, but unfortunately not to this house!!

November 2020 Stay
Overall it was an amazing month-long stay! We had 4 adults and 3 kids. We worked and schooled remotely with no major issues. Some places in the house have better WiFi signal than others but generally it wasn’t a problem. Our three recommendations for improvements are 1) need a second dishwasher when you advertise the house to accommodate so many people, although admittedly I don’t know where it would fit 2) if the house is going to be rented out for long term stays, the renters need the mailbox key - multiple small packages we ordered from Amazon ended up in the mailbox and we couldn’t access them and 3) the house needs some plastic wine glasses so people don’t bring glass in the pool area. But all minor things - overall a great house, great pool and amazing location. Sunsets on the beach were looking incredible!

This house was amazing for our BIG family! The children and teens enjoyed the heated pool. The beach was a easy three minute walk. Two things we had that the grill wasn’t cleaned, so we weren’t able to bbq on Christmas Day and the house needs more outside trash cans or an community dumpster. Overall, the house was lovely, and would definitely visit again!
