Situated on Hana Bay in the Heart of Hana! "Alau” – Unit 202 – is an upper-floor, lofted, ocean-view studio located in Hana Kai’s Mauka Building. The unit accommodates up to 4 guests with 1 queen bed on the main floor and another queen bed in the loft. *Note* SLEEPING IN THE LOFT JUNE THROUGH OCTOBER OS NOT RECOMMENDED, due to the higher temperatures at that time of year. Expanded sliding glass doors open onto a spacious covered lanai with teak furnishings and a breathtaking view of the Pacific ocean and Hana Bay. Porcelain tile floors and counter tops, tub/shower combination with custom tile details and bamboo accents throughout.

My husband and i enjoyed our 2 night stay in this sweet little condo. There was a large fan which was a godsend in keeping it cool. Fantastic view!

Very clean and cozy. Beautiful view, includes a black sand beach behind the property. The loft provided a comfy second bed. Filtered water and a fridge. The best way to see Hana and arrive at Haleakala National Park early, fresh for the Pipiwai Trail and to avoid the crowds.

Excellent location- check in and unit was exactly as described! Bed was super comfortable- lots of extras and very clean! Looking forward to staying again! 5⭐️

The property and location is as advertised; both well maintained and beautiful scenery. However, we underestimated having no A/C. Even with fans blowing full speed and balcony open to the ocean, we found little relief from the hot and humid climate. We sweat just hanging out in the condo at night and even took cold showers but did not sleep comfortably. So much that we ate the $$ and booked somewhere else after the first night of our reservation. This was beginning of September.
