Our hosts could not have been better. They were welcoming, helpful and responsive to all our requests. We enjoyed all their restaurant and activity suggestions. The cottage was clean and ready on arrival. It is about 50 feet from the lake shore with its own private dock. The view is to the west across a wide expanse of water. We heard loons calling as we sat to enjoy the sunsets. Wolfeboro center is minutes away by car. There is an outside grill, screened porch and feeling of privacy. The wood pile was stocked. We highly recommend this place for a small family and would stay here again.

A traditional lakeside cottage, with knotty pine panelling, fireplace, and beautiful views, pristine clear lake water, and proximity to wonderful Wolfeboro. I was looking for a Winnipesaukee experience like those I remember from my youth in the 1950s, and this is what I got, along with 21st c amenities like WiFi, cable TV, and modern appliances. Owners Pam and John were generous and attentive hosts.

This cottage is adorable and in an amazing location. I’ve gone to lake winni every year for 38 years and this is a really desirable spot - wolfeboro / winter harbor. The house is adorable and spotless. It’s small (as expected) but very well equipped. My husband and two small children and I had a wonderful stay.
It rained all day one day and we made a fire and the kids watched Bluey on the tv. On the nice days the kids swam, used the kayaks with us, and went fishing. Becuase of the drought the lake was really low so they couldn’t jump off the dock but I’m sure in normal times they could. It was still deep enough for a boat to pick us up.
Pam and John are really friendly and gracious. You really can’t go wrong with this property.

Best Weekend Vacation of My Life!!
This property completely blew away our expectations. When we initially found our way driving towards the cabin, it was sitting picturesque on the water. The view of the lake, mountains and clean air was nothing short of breathtaking! Pam and John were the sweetest, and most caring property owners. They went above and beyond to make sure the property was clean during the COVID19 restrictions and wrote out every precaution they took. We felt completely safe and at ease knowing they took such meticulous steps. We enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace during cold, crisp nights... the back deck was used to eat dinner and watch the sunset, and the kayaks provided a memorable time on the water! We are still daydreaming about our weekend on the water and enjoying the beautiful downtown of Wolfeboro. We will absolutely be back!!

Updated wooden cottage in quiet location on best lake in NH
Pam and John are wonderful hosts. She keep us updated on local/state covid regulations and gave information about grocery stores, shops, and the Dive shop for fishing licenses. Provides most of what you need for your stay. The cottage was immaculate and had most things we needed for the kitchen, dishes, few pots/pan, bowl, casserole dish, pot holders, bottle openers, couple large knives, measuring cups, can opener, trivets, soap, dish liquid, paper towels, trash bag, etc. Wish we had sheet pan, serving plates and another larger pan & pot to better cook for 5 people. The bedroom overlooking the lake had two twins and we wished the queen was there - wasted view on the on the kids. All mattresses were too soft/thin for us. The closed couch and rocking chair gave us the best sleep.
The queen room had the air conditioner, and the living room had one as well. Most of the time we had the windows open and had a great breeze. The one day we needed the air conditioner for couple hours, it was on low and was fine for the entire place. The screened porch was where we are most meals and played games. View of the moon on the lake was amazing.
The new dock was nice to fish, hang out, sun bath. It had a new ladder to the lake. The lake had some sandy near the ladder, but mostly there are rocks around the dock. (John is slowly moving the rocks to the side to make more of a sandy bottom). The kids found it fun to help move some rocks. Bring rubber-sole water shoes and your fine. There is a sandy beach area in front of there house to launch the kayaks they let you use or bring your own (we took our paddleboards). You get to see these beautiful sunsets. Even the rain is beautiful on the lake. At night, we had the telescope on the dock.
Outside area has a picnic table, two lounge chairs, two Adirondack chairs, clothes line (no washer/dryer), and a gas grill. The grill lit up effortlessly.
Note, due to covid, they provided options on linens, towels, pillows for nominal fee; keep only the pillows. Checkout procedures are to wash and pack the kitchen items so plan your packing and last night & morning accordingly. We leave all places as we find them, so that wasn't a problem. Just that we weren't sure if the last renters were as cautious in cleaning, so we washed EVERYTHING when unpacking it.

An Amazing Week
The beautiful cottage has all the amenities that we were looking for and it was spotless. We loved the birch bark furniture and the screened-in porch. Sitting by the lake, swimming off the private dock, kayaking, and the peaceful nights were a plus for us. We went into town each day to walk, and explore. Pam and John are warm, kind, accomodating hosts! We will be back next summer!

We chose the cabin because we needed a quiet place where I could work on some writing. That did not quite turn out like we thought, but we found Wolfeboro to be a marvelous community. I probably could return again and again. Marvelous cabin. Wonderful town

Lovely Lake Cottage.
We had wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. The owners were very helpful. The new dock was not only great for boaters but provided a wonderful view of the sunset! We will be back.

Outstanding and relaxing!
My wife and I rented this property to see if we might like the area in retirement. Needless to say we loved it! Even though it rained a good part of the trip, we had a nice fire in the fireplace and were completely relaxed inside. John and Pam were great! The cottage was impeccable and the views were outstanding! We will definitely be back!

John and Pam Hopkins were the best hosts/owners. They answered questions about the cottage before we arrived. When we arrived, they told us about their favorite restaurants, delis, grocery shopping, laundromat, and other services. They provided clean linens twice a week. They told us about historical sites we might have missed like Castle in the Clouds.
We would definitely book the cottage again if we planned another trip to Wolfeboro. We enjoyed our two weeks so much, we would think about staying a month.

Beautiful cottage on a gorgeous lake!
We had a lovely stay and the cottage is charming, spotless, and beautifully decorated (the custom birch-trimmed furniture was beautiful). We loved sitting in the screen porch in evenings. The private dock and the lake made for excellent swimming and there is so much to do in the area that we couldn't have asked for more.

Gorgeous and wonderfully secluded
This place is in a stunning location, with excellent water access and views. I expected to feel very exposed on this big lake packed with houses. However, this cottage and the surrounding lots, are quite old and are nestled in to a fairly private area... at the height of the season, we couldn't see any neighbors even from the dock, just the owners (who were barely seen) and people on boats in the water. One could completely 'get away from it all'. However, it is also very close to town (5-10mins drive) so its really easy to pop in to grab a meal, catch a show, or whatever.
The cottage itself is fairly small (as described),but super cool. This is a real deal, well built, vintage lake cottage. Awesome deck and dock. Awesome owners - both Pam and John were warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. Only thing to note is that while there is WiFi and DirectTV, there is limited internet data available (usage, not bandwidth), and very limited TV Channels... if you want to watch movies, etc..., bring your own DVDs or download stuff prior to arrival.

Quiet, cozy, just what our family needed in a camp!
We had a fabulous vacation! Camp was very clean. Had everything we needed. Had new stairs and dock. Dock was made of cedar boards, so it did not get hot to walk on like metal docks. The owners Pam and John are super nice people! Cannot wait to go back!

Serene and charming
The property is a 70 year old cabin with gorgeous views and waterfront. It has been restored/updated with amazing attention to detail. Every room is beautifully decorated and has wonderful amenities like birch wood headboards and picture frames, shelving units, A/C in Master and main room, new stove, screen porch with a pull down dining table, etc. The owners (Pam and John) live next door and are helpful and available, but not intrusive. Cabin is at the end of the road, so there is plenty of privacy. We saw deer and turkeys while we were there. They just put in a new dock, but be warned - there is no beach and the access to the lake is via steep metal steps to a slightly rocky bottom (not ideal for small children or the elderly). There are no lights on the dock, so night swimming is difficult. Location is just a few miles outside Wolfeboro town center - which is also charming. Go for ice cream at The Bubble. Get lobster rolls or the lobster BLT at Wolfetrap, amazing Mexican at El Centenario, and good Asian at East of Suez. Best pizza is at Louis. The Marriott complex is just across Winter Harbor and someone there flies an ultralight aircraft at low altitude in front of the cabin most mornings! This is a taste of what summer lake living used to be - great, comfortable place to relax, unwind, and unplug!

Great small cabin for a couples get away. Lovely decor and very clean and well equipped.
So impressed by the attention to detail in the decor and function of this cabin. It is small but would accommodate 4 nicely. 6 may be a little crowded. No dishwasher or washing machine, but there is a dryer if your towels get damp. The charming town of Wolfeboro is nearby for necessities. Sunsets from the dock are fantastic! So glad I found this gem. We will definitely return!

Perfect get away on the lake yet close to village of Wolfeboro.
The lake cottage has all the modern conveniences, plus is very private with your own dock, small beach and incredible sunsets. The nostalgic decor is well done. Our favorite place was on the screened in porch -- we had all our meals there with a front row view of the lake! A great place for a couple or small family with lots to do even during the off season.
