A nice property but lacks attention to detail. Would benefit from a dedicated property manager. If there is one, they are clearly not doing their job. As a seasoned traveller, I appreciated the secluded property, competitively priced. Photographs were accurate. This place could be so much more. I did not receive accurate check -in information and had to access VRBO help in order to access the property, Two rolls of toilet paper were provided for a week long stay, A quarter of the lightbulbs were burnt out, including all of the electronic candles, which were doubtless intended to give a ‘cultured ambiance’ Pool pump was broken and not repaired until day 5 of a seven day stay. The pool was therefore inaccessible. I had no contact information for the owner/property manager. The screened in porch was a nice feature but was rendered dis functional by a broken door. The BBQ was in an advanced state of disintegration. The above list of deficiencies were the highlights. Many more less significant but non the less irritating deficiencies were present. I liked the property overall , I would stay again should the owner wish to attend to the obvious shortcomings. Regards John

Property was in our favorite area to stay! It was in need of a deep clean and several light bulbs were out. We replaced the ones we could. The washing machine was touch and go and it was hard to get going. Overall, we had a great week.

I don't like leaving bad reviews. This property, based on what we paid, was disappointing. Location is nothing special, and the upkeep on the property is definitely lacking. The cottage was okay, but definitely not worth the price. There is nothing nearby if you like to stroll, and Flamingo Pond is not much to see. It's a wothwhile property if were a little more of a bargain.

Overall property was in good condition and as pictured. The split bedroom layout was very conducive to a family with bedrooms on either end of the house each with their own bathroom. Kitchen was well appointed and while we didn't use it, they did supply drinking water in a water cooler on the patio - a nice addition as they did not recommend use of the tap or fridge water dispenser. The pool was quite refreshing following playing some volleyball or badminton and/or a SUP/Kayak paddle out back. We used the cooler and four beach chairs when we went to the beach and opted to rent a shade umbrella. While the property is not fenced nor gated, we generally felt quite safe. Although someone did access the laundry area and take some laundry detergent (which is in an exterior utility closet outside of the house.) There was a gardener and pool maintenance staffer who came during our stay - noting regular scheduled maintenance (as well as garbage/recycling day) would have been useful info as we initially were uneasy about the 'guy wandering around out back.' It's likely best to have access to a car. The road that is used to access the property is not paved and quite rough, but when taken slow it was fine for the Honda Fit that we were driving. It's about 20 minutes from the airport and Sapodilla Bay, 15 minutes from Grace Bay and 20 minutes from the Leeward Settlement/Blue Haven Marina (where our clear kayak and boat excursions left from.)

Seahorse cottage is a very nice little house, in need of a bit of repair, but clean, good beds, and overall the caretaking is very good. Pool care was very good. Kitchen is excellent. Water pressure and on demand HW heater were slow. It needs a new BBQ badly, which I asked for and was told had to be brought in, no good ones available. I also asked to have the screen door of porch fixed, ands it got progressively less well attached and noisier, but that didnt happen. For us the location was fine, and I knew where it was, no surprise. It is a bit of a hike for someone new to the island, but you are very close to the IGA and all amenities. I was disappointed that I couldn't use the paddle board, and it is really very shallow, and to do what Cesar (the owner- who was very good) suggested and take the keg off would have given me no control. This winter was very windy, and it howled down Juba Sound every day, too much for paddling there. Otherwise we had a very comfortable 6 week stay. Given the prices of houses in TCI, this is a very good stay for the price, location wise, and I would recommend it. We are going one rung up next winter, but only as it works out, and this was our first longterm stay. At the value end of the price range, this is a very good place to be. The screen door needs fixing Cesar! Otherwise, many thanks!

We enjoyed our 7-night stay at the Seahorse Cottage. We have two teenage boys (15 & 16) who are very active. They enjoyed the pool & they enjoyed the kayak (1) and SUP board (1). The pool has under water lighting for night swims. The low lighting allowed my husband and I to enjoy the stars while we sat on the two reclining chairs. There are plenty of pool and beach toys. Four large beach chairs and an umbrella are also provided and a must for the beaches. The screened in porch was also nice. We did not utilize the grill or the table and chairs as we ate dinner at local restaurants. We enjoyed Big Al's, Da Conch Shack, Bugaloos, Omars, Somewhere Cafe, Las Brisas, and Mr. Grouper's Restuarant. Most offered outside and inside oceanfront seating. Most allowed for covered up swimwear. Breakfast was a quick meal for us, and we packed our snacks and lunches. The kitchen was perfect for our needs. The large and doubled door refrigerator/freezer provided plenty of space to store our food for a week. We shopped at the local IGA. The kitchen also has plenty of clean and modern plates, utensils, and glasses. We used paper products for the convenience of not having to wash dishes or to use the dishwasher. There is a modern toaster and coffee maker. The living room was nice at the end of the day. The couch is cozy. The television is large and has plenty of channels to choose from. The Wi-Fi is free and supported our seven devices without delay or lag no matter where you were in the house. The two bathrooms were great for our needs. One has a shower, and the other has a bathtub/shower. There are plenty of fluffy, white towels for bathing. There are bathmats in each bathroom. Plenty of space is provided to store toiletries on shelves and in the medicine cabinet. There are beach towels too. We didn't bring out own, so we had to wash towels daily. The king sized and two twin sized beds were cozy. The linens and comforters are soft. Great storage space for clothing. Other than a few ants (who doesn't have ants), there were no other unwanted pests. Everything was clean and modern. We had no concerns during our stay, so we only had contact with Cesar before and after our stay. All instructions and suggestions were easy and straightforward. Thank you, Cesar and Caren, for having us!

Peaceful retreat for a family of 4
Peaceful retreat for a family of 4
Our family enjoyed the property overall - it was bright and modern, just as depicted. We spent a lot of time at the pool and relaxing outside/enjoying the view. The location was off the main strip, but still central- given that this was our third trip to Provo, it was appreciated. There were some small things here and there that could use a handyman's assistance (note - be careful, the screen door on the back porch seems to lock automatically, some of the outdoor furniture/grill could use some maintenance - probably by virtue of being outside in salty air) and the hot water never got very hot - we later realized the hot water tank had been set to the lowest setting. From a communications standpoint, Cesar responded to my first inquiry within a couple of hours. However, I didn't get a response to my second, slightly more urgent one concerning a pest situation sent a couple of hours later until 5 days later, the day before we checked out.
