Located in Lovell, this attractive cottage for $210 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Come stay in our wonderful two-bedroom, one-bath cottage with its own private dock on Keewaydin Lake. Enjoy the large open living room and porch with great views of the lake right outside your windows. Spacious in-water deck and dock just steps from your door. If you have a boat with you, there is a private boat launch less than 500 feet away, and you are welcome to pull it up to your private dock. This vacation home is perfect for a family of 4. Wake up to a view of the lake from the master bedroom, have coffee in the sun on the dock, or go for a refreshing swim or paddle in the kayak. Enjoy fishing from the dock. Monitor heater keeps the cottage warm in the spring and fall. Close to White Mountain National Forest and many hiking trails. Cozy cabin literally on the edge of the pond with great views.

This was a very nice stay in a classic Maine Lake camp. It was very quaint and pleasant. It had everything you need to cook and enjoy the lake including kayaks and noodles for the kids. The host was very communicative and helpful, and even went out of her way to help us with a last minute conundrum. The beach wasn't sandy or shallow, so you do have to dive off the dock into the unknown to go swimming, but the kids got used to that fast enough and spent most of their days running and jumping off the dock with noodles. The only real drawback was the location: it is directly - like 10 feet - off of Maine Route 5. Our kids are 7 and 8 and they are pretty independent and good swimmers, so I had anticipated the usual scenario where they are fine to play outside mostly unattended for little blocks of time, just keeping an eye on them from the window. However, the way the trucks fly through and the direct proximity to the road, I was concerned for their safety, so that was not possible, making the stay just a bit less relaxed. However, if you do not have young kids, or if you have infants that can't roam, this wouldn't be a concern. I would highly recommend this affordable, pretty camp for families with teens or babies not yet walking, or couples without kids.

We enjoyed our stay at this home minus the road traffic. By the time we left we got used to it. Beautiful lake! Watched the Loons every day. Took trip to N.Conway New Hampshire. Found a lobster guy in Bridgeton who steamed up some lobsters for us to take back and eat on our picnic table by the lake.

This place was perfect. It’s even better than the photos listed here! We already discussed coming again and bringing the kids with us. They would have had even more fun than I did swimming and jumping into the beautiful lake. If there was any *cons* it would be the street out front but honestly, it didn’t take anything away from us having a beautiful trip.

This was our second visit to Valerie’s home and it was as beautiful as we remembered. A classic Maine camp with the most amazing view and location. Everything you need for a vacation, well appointed, clean and enough space for everyone to spread out and relax. Spent a lot of time this visit in the kayak, on the deck and swimming in the water to the floating dock. Instant relaxation - thank you!!

We enjoyed fishing from our small motor boat and were pleasantly surprised how few boats were on the lake! The camp is so comfortable with a fully stocked kitchen! We chose to eat most meals at camp taking advantage of the grill just outside on the deck. There is a very cozy sitting area around the fire pit also overlooking the lake. Fans are a plenty so sleeping on the warm nights was comfortable. For those who need to be plugged in, the Wi-Fi is great and TV is state of the art with access to for example Netflix. We enjoyed exploring the area a bit even taking a 40 minute jaunt to North Conway. We had a wonderful getaway and look forward to a return visit!

Lakeside camping
Absolutely stunning! This special cabin has become our favorite family reunion spot each summer after school has ended and all the grades are done. It is the perfect jump start to summer after each year of teaching high school. There is something for everyone regardless of age. So we’ll stocked and lovingly decorated. It is our dream vacation. Thank you so much for sharing your treasure cabin home.

My husband is 6' 2" and had to walk with extreme care while using the rooms with the nicest view of the water and in all doorways. We also found the noise from the heavy trucking traffic along this road to be rather loud during the day. Families with very young children may find the distance between the house and the road to be somewhat unsafe at only 22'. Overall it was very enjoyable.

Direct lake front
My husband and I stayed at this very well equipped cabin for 4 nights, and with the exception of a slight misunderstanding on our part as to the location of the front door :) we found the cabin to be better than the photos show. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, there were many options from which to view the lake which is just steps away. The hosts have provided just about anything you might need, including a washer and dryer. The outside area has a firepit and comfortable lounge chairs. My husband was happy with the dock from which he spent many hours fishing with a little success. We did find that the bathroom was very small and could use an upgrade which Val has said was in the plan for next year, and I think that would make the cabin just about perfect. What we didn't enjoy was the traffic. As we had arrived on Labor Day, there was no commercial traffic on the road at all, but the following morning, starting at 6 a.m., the logging trucks and dump trucks started driving by, and the noise level was quite high and continued throughout the day on Tuesday and Wednesday. The evening and nights were quiet, so your sleep is not disturbed, and after a while you get used to it.
Communication with Val was perfect, she responded immediately to any question. Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay, and thank you.

Shoreline Sunsets
Though situated on a moderately busy roadway the sounds of traffic were totally unobtrusive in the comfort and coziness of this lakeside camp. Waves lapping the shoreline just below the window were a pleasant sunrise alarm clock. And sunsets across the water were beautiful.

Great little camp, wonderful trip
This property is a real gem. It’s a beautifully maintained classic Maine camp, with everything you need to have a relaxing stay. Well appointed with linens, cookware, pantry items and bug spray, and everything you need to enjoy your trip. We really enjoyed fishing and kayaking, and my son loved jumping off the floating dock into the pristine lake. There aren’t a whole bunch of stores or restaurants nearby, but that’s exactly the way we like it. There was plenty of room for all of us to read, cook, watch TV, sit outside by the fire, or sit on the dock and enjoy the beautiful lake with a glass of wine or cup of coffee. Val is wonderful host and a great communicator - we will definitely be returning to this sweet little cottage.

We needed a place that was a quiet getaway and this was perfect. We visited Portland a couple times and loved the little town of Norway for coffee and Ari's Pizza! Clean, perfect weather, easy access... Awesome place!

(nice fire pit area) Not only was it immaculate, the furniture and accessories were in fine order, nothing that I looked at and thought, "they should replace this". Although on a busy road, there are no immediate neighbors which was my favorite detail. I actually had coffee in my PJs on the dock! No loud boats, noisy neighbors... just peace. We used the kayaks, fished, floated in the water, and had great fires. Rocky entrance to beach, may be hard for very little ones, no toddling into water on their own... I loved my stay and would highly recommend this quaint, well maintained lakeside GEM. Thank you Valerie!!

Cozy Lakefront Cottage
This place had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved using the kayaks (with 4 included life vests - 2 adult / 2 child) and sitting out on the dock under the stars. We would definitely stay here again!

Our 3 day stay here was wonderful. Everything we needed was here., and it all felt very safe and clean. Enjoyed being right on the lake. The only downfall Is the location of the cottage being right on a busy road.

Heaven
This has been a magnificent week. The cabin is cozy and rustic, but it has all the amenities so it's not like you are 'roughing it'- it's very comfortable (especially the master bed!) and peaceful here. Views from the bedroom and back of house are spectacular, the cabin is literally right on the lake. We had a minor issue with the TV not working, reached out to the owner and she solved the problem immediately for us. Very impressed. Meanwhile, there are lots of wonderful hiking trails not far away, we especially enjoyed Cathedral Ledge in New Hampshire. We also enjoyed a trip to Naples Lake where we had a delicious lunch on the water. We are sad to be leaving for home today!
