We rented both the Cottage on the falls and the Retreat next door. It was the perfect place to visit family and reconnect with each other and Nature. We will be back!

We couldn't of asked for a more wonderful way to spend a weekend. The area was full of beautiful views and the house was charming, warm, and felt like home. I could spend all day sitting on the porch listening to the creek. Thank you for being a wonderful host!

The sounds of the rushing water and the beauty of the setting were therapeutic to erase the tensions of our busy lives. The surrounding countryside was also calming and visually inspiring. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and lovely.

Went for a relaxing girls trip. It was perfect! The cottage is clean, updated, spacious and comfortable. Being right on the creek with the waterfalls was the most serene and calming experience. The sound of the water was beautiful. Perfect trip and the beauty can not be captured in any of the pictures we took. What you see on these pictures is so much better in person! Just go!!

This property is THE most relaxing, open to nature and family gathering spot EVER! My family spent the wild weather this Christmas threw at us, snug in this lovely home with such nice simple decorations we all felt at home. Great kitchen open to the living area! Large table was accommodating for some wonderful game sessions! Looking out the many windows framed gorgeous views of the icy falls! It was like living in a postcard! The owner is very responsive and everything went smoothly so we were prepared ahead of time to just relax in the space. Thank you Robin for sharing this little bit of heaven!

Planned a amazing weekend with my husband at this beautiful cabin we drove in a snow storm and landed being stuck here for the weekend it was amazing we loved just watching Netflix listening to the waterfall and relaxing near the fireplace we planned on coming back this summer to see the beautiful falls and local nature trails

We had a wonderful weekend at the Cottage. The house was spotless and well stocked with all essentials. The sound of the falls lulling to sleep was incredible. Already booked a return trip.

Looking for a getaway for my and my girlfriend , I came across this nice cottage. And I'm so satisfied with the decision to book. I think the photos are old shots because what we walked in to was way better than the photos. This is a great area to explore, hike and take in the scenery. Although we and my partner didn't totally *unplug* wifi is available here. As well as everything you will need lol. Like....everything you would think you need is already here. We enjoyed our stay and the clear communication with Robin was a1! Robin is flexible so she will work with you. We had a great time. We will be back

We came for a relaxing getaway... and that's exactly what we got. This is a wonderful place for a small group retreat or just a couple. Just fantastic!

The Cottage is perfect! It’s location only 20min from Colgate and right beside a beautiful river can’t be beat. My sister and her family stayed in The Retreat next door, and The Cottage was amazing for our extended family meals and game night. I’ve already booked again for next year!

Our third time here with more to come! We have been using this spot as our yearly meetup for our group of friends spread out across the county. We reserved both the main cabin and the retreat for our group which was 9 adults. Unfortunately 3 couldn’t make it do to the recent hurricane but it still would fit us all comfortably. Place has everything you need to sit back, relax and have a good time!

A beautiful cottage on the falls! A perfect place to getaway and disconnect! WiFi was working great, but you don’t need it for the property has so many places to sit back and enjoy nature. Falling asleep to the sound of the water is priceless! Will definitely make a trip back again soon!!!

This was our second summer stay at Firefly Falls. This year we invited family for a cookout. The cottage was the perfect setting and had everything we needed to host a wonderful reunion. The dinner table gave everyone plenty of elbow room! We’ll be talking about that day many years from now. We will be back, again.

What a truly amazing, unique, tranquil property. Our small family of 3 had such an awesome time! Having your day start and end with the sound of the waterfall right in the back yard was so calming and relaxing. Filled our days with waterfall hikes (both on and off property), kayaking at Green Lake, visiting wineries, breweries, restaurants and even some antiquing. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need and love the take 1 leave 1 idea for drinks and snacks. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this amazing property! Thank you Robin and Keith for creating such a wonderful experience. Your home is a labor of love and it truly shows!

My wife and I spent 3 days at Firefly Falls to celebrate our anniversary. Beautiful place! The photos are great, but they don't do it justice. It's amazing to walk out onto the deck and be right on top of our own private waterfall! The cottage is amazingly well-appointed, too, with everything we needed. Robin has done a fantastic job making this a perfect place to stay. We hope to visit again soon!

We were lucky enough to find Firefly Falls to hold our intimate wedding ceremony last weekend. We rented both the Cottage and Retreat to accommodate our guests and ensure privacy. Robin and Keith were absolutely wonderful! They were always easy to contact and very understanding and accommodating throughout the planning process. The Cottage and location are absolutely beautiful! We felt so relaxed on our wedding day. The falls were so peaceful to watch, and the kids loved playing in the water. The cabins were both very spacious, and the ambiance and decor were perfect. They were well stocked with supplies and amenities. We already can't wait to go back and spend a quiet, romantic weekend by the falls!

This was most unique VRBO I've ever had the pleasure of staying with, a place I truly wish I could have as my home away from home! The kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly need - even previous renters leaving foods you really don't need so much of when you are only away for a week, like a box of butter in the freezer, cooking oil spray, and a whole drawer of spices (you of course don't need to use them if you don't feel comfortable with such). Drinks and wine in a "Take one/leave one" system - so you didn't even need to rush to the store if you arrive late the first night (for drinks at least). The deck is right over the river, which at the time we arrived was definitely high due to the foot of snow they had received a few days before. We spent our days there enjoying the rushing water, birds, and pristine air. Couldn't get better! When the evenings cooled, we snuggled up in one of the multitude of blankets they have available for such, or came in to sit by the fireplace instead. The main bed is a fully adjustable Sleep Number bed, and the extra mattresses in the sleeping area are nice and firm. Plenty of linens, extra towels. There was bug spray, sunscreen, a fire pit and fire wood, a jacuzzi tub in the corner of the bathroom over one of the cascades of water on the river. Oh such a neat place. The only "complaint" I could have would be that the shower head is designed to conserve water to the extreme (the place is on a well), and the water is soft so rinsing out long thick hair is a bit of a challenge. All sleeping area is upstairs, so be aware of that if you have mobility limitations. The house is only 20 minutes or so to Hamilton, and Ye Olde Landmark Tavern in nearby Bouckville had excellent food if you wanted a break from cooking. All in all, a terrific place.
