Situated in Angel Fire, this lovely house for $206 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Selah House Welcome to “Selah House,” a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom multi-level mountain home tucked away in the trees close to Monte Verde lake and just minutes from Angel Fire Ski Area. This home sleeping 8-12 is ideal for groups of skiers and snowboarders, families looking for a private place with access to a variety of activities, or anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the trees. Location Although this house sits snugly in a forest of evergreens and aspens, it is easy to access from the main highway for any vehicle (no 4-wheel drive required). It is less than a ¼ mile from Monte Verde Lake, 2.5 miles from Angel Fire Country Club and Golf Course, and 3.5 miles from the ski area with a variety of shopping and restaurants. The Great Room Enter through the front door into a tiled entryway, perfect for storing skis and snowboards, before ascending into the beautiful great room. This large living area boasts a vaulted, wood-beamed ceiling, large windows with views of the forest, a stone fireplace enclosing a wood-burning stove, and plenty of seating. It is connected to a full kitchen and dining area that seats up to 14 comfortably and provides access to a spacious deck suitable for viewing stars or wildlife. Alternatively, stay inside and view the game on the 60-inch flat-screen TV. The Bedrooms Upstairs, the master bedroom features vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings, large windows looking into the trees, a king size bed, and a recently renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower. The three downstairs bedrooms, share a recently renovated bathroom. The larger of the rooms has a king size bed and also has a sturdy set of wooden bunk beds. The other two bedrooms each have a king size bed. Fold-down couches in the great room provide two additional full-sized mattresses. There is a new full bath with tub on the mid-level for our renter's convenience. Kid and pet friendly The downstairs bathroom features a “potty-training” toilet seat, a bathtub with a removable shower-head, and a stepping stool for little legs. Upstairs in the great room, use the provided baby gates to create a safe play area for toddlers, or head into the yard where you’ll find ample play space among the trees and a small personal sledding hill at the back of the property (sleds provided).

We had a great experience! The house was warm, roomy, clean, and had everything we needed! The host was very informative and made sure we had everything we needed prior to our arrival! Definitely would book this one again! We had 4 adults and 6 kids ages 5-10!

We were so happy with the accommodations. We were a group of nine. I was unsure about the kitchen having all of the kitchen utensils and appliances to accommodate making the sides for a Thanksgiving meal, but we had everything we needed! The entire home was well furnished, clean and comfortable. We loved having access to snow sleds, making for a fun afternoon in the new snow. Plenty of games, books and movies. This is a great place for families of all ages! Thank you to the hosts for making the home a cozy temperature upon our arrival!

We stayed here during a family reunion that was at another cabin. This was the perfect quiet place to retreat to for the little ones naps. Everything was exactly at advertised. The ONLY thing that needs to be done is to take a hose or power washer to the baby high chair. It really needs a good cleaning. Everything else was perfect. Thanks!

Selah House is perfect for families. We love the short walk to the lake, the deck with so many wildfire visitors, and the comfortable layout. Everything we needed for an extended stay was already there. Such a great vacation home!

This cabin is very family friendly in that the floor plan/rooms accommodate multiple family/friend combinations. The kitchen was well-stocked, and they have a great collection of games and books. We enjoyed the birds and deer and the nearby beautiful lake. My only suggestion is improved lighting. But would definitely recommend for family and friends.

We have stayed here before, that’s why we came back! Such a peaceful place, well stocked kitchen, and games, and room for everyone! Oh did I mention the daily visitors! The kids loved seeing all the deer!

Wonderfully stocked home. Lots of extra linens, lots of kitchen supplies, even bird food for the bird feeders. Our only complaint was the smell of cats, especially strong in the master bedroom. Some pet hair on carpets. Would not be great for a person with allergies to pets.

What was needed for our aging parents was a break, a break away from the daily grind and a dip in the constant temperatures from the upper 90s to the 70s during the day. This Selah house offered an opportunity for me to bring everyone at an affordable price. No massive frills needed but all the necessary amenities included that one would need in a place to stay for a week. The bonuses were a simple walk down the hill to a trail around the lake my parents could handle, the constant deer and fawns grazing through the neighborhood, the multitude of birds for the ornithologists, and of course our chipmunk and squirrel friends. While we were there during the resort's shoulder season Angle Fire, Taos and Red River are all relatively close and provide alternate environments. Thanks for the usage of the property and I would say if you are looking for a place to stay in Angel Fire - go ahead and give this place a try. Enjoy.

Great location in a lovely neighborhood. Took full advantage of the lake access, hiking trails, and large patio for a week of working remote and relaxation. House has many bedrooms and bathrooms for a group, and stocked kitchen.

We wanted one last breathe of cool air before the summer heat and humidity settled in around Houston and the Selah House was perfect. Mark, the owner, was great with communication and the house had just about everything we needed.. Honestly, my only complaint (and it’s a very minor one) was that the kitchen knives were dull and need to be sharpened.
