Situated in Sunset Beach, this lovely villa for $975 per night is a great option for your next trip. Welcome to Hale Pono! The North Shore of Oahu’s premier luxury getaway. Surround yourself with the beautiful foliage of Hawaii as you gaze across the lawn and onto a gorgeous and often empty white sand beach. Relax and leave your stress behind. This 5000 square foot home is an architectural masterpiece with an open floor plan that features large windows on all sides allowing the cool tropical breezes to flow while also creating vistas that go for miles out over the blue Pacific Ocean. You will be rocked to sleep each night with the soothing sound of waves crashing in the distance. This home is also very private with it’s own automatic gate, a large driveway and rock wall separating it from the neighboring properties. The modern design mingles traditional Hawaiian materials such as rich teak, bamboo and lava rock with an open floor plan that’s ready to entertain. The home is tastefully furnished with comfort and ease of use in mind but also with all of the modern necessities including, flat screen TVs throughout, Wi-Fi, and a full laundry facility. The kitchen is fully equipped to create your own meals and includes a BBQ immediately adjacent the kitchen. The home is also fully air-conditioned should the need arise. The sleeping arrangements include: The Master Suite encompasses the entire upper floor and includes a king bed, a sitting area and a large bathroom with custom stone tub, his and her sinks and a make up sitting area. A full width private balcony is accessed via large sliding glass doors, which opens the entire room to infinity views of the ocean. There is also a large walk-in closet and a small office area. The Downstairs Master also includes a king bed as well as a private bathroom and a pull out couch for additional sleeping arrangements. Bedrooms #1 and #2 both include queen beds and private ensuite bathrooms and showers All downstairs bedrooms include private balconies. Although away from the hustle of Waikiki, there are many local amenities to make sure all your needs are attainable. From Ted’s Bakery, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is just steps from the home, to the famous Turtle Bay resort which is only 10 minutes by car to the north. The hotel welcomes day visitors to their various restaurants, pools, beaches and other amenities that include two championship golf courses. A full service market is 10 minutes to the south and the charming town of Haleiwa is just another 15 minutes down Kam Hwy and features many restaurants and quaint shops to spend a day exploring. Should the desire to visit the Honolulu area arise, it’s a quick 45-minute drive to the world famous hotels, museums, and other cultural places of interest. Additional property notes: A full time caretaker resides on the property in a separate apartment over the garage to greet you and make sure your stay is memorable and worry free. This property is even more beautiful than the photos show. The master bedroom is beyond anything I’ve ever stayed in before. Spectator views of the ocean. Every room has great views of the garden. The place is well equipped for a family holiday and perfectly maintained. Preston lives on site and was extremely helpful if we needed anything but otherwise we didn’t see him. I would certainly return again. We have spent every Christmas on the north shore for twenty and this is the most magnificent home we have seen there. The position is perfect.

My family of 6 came to stay here May 14 thru the 24. We had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and had enough space for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked as we cooked a lot of our meals in. The beach was amazing and the sunsets were beautiful. We were truly sad to leave. The host Preston helped with everything including finding a wheelchair for my husband when ours broke and even a new TV when one went out. Overall I would recommend staying here 10+ over 10!

We spent 10 days here before and after our wedding. The place was absolutely amazing and allowed for us to have a great time with friends and enjoy everything the north shore has to offer. Everything about this experience was above and beyond our expectations. The owners were responsive and helpful at every stage. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the north shore.

Beautiful stay on North Shore
We had 8 people and 3 generations celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary at Hale Pono in early August. Making the reservation was easy, communication was clear, timely and informative, The onsite manager, Alix, was able to grant us an early check in which was very appreciated after a long travel day. The gated property is private, lush and has amazing ocean views with easy access. The house is spacious and public areas are elegant, The bedroom en suites are perfect and the kitchen was well equipped as we did cook in most nights. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to our friends. It was a peaceful retreat at the end of each busy day.

Birthday family celebration
My family arrived to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday and our daughter's 30th birthday. We were blown away from the minute we walked in! The house and the view was spectacular.
Alix happily greeted us and was so kind to leave a wonderful carrot cake from Ted's Bakery for the birthday celebrations!
The house was extremely comfortable and spacious for the 4 couples and everyone loved it's warmth and beauty. The big couch was a favorite amongst us all!!! So comfortable.
We were all sad to leave after 10 days in this paradise. We feel blessed to have been all together and to have had such a wonderful experience.
We look forward to returning again one day!

Hawaii Perfection
We just returned from Hale Pono. The location was exactly what we were looking for along the North Shore. It was private and quiet, our own piece of paradise for a week. The accommodations were wonderful, and the home well equipped. Alix was welcoming, then left us alone to enjoy each other’s company. We were there with our entire family to celebrate our birthdays and our 35th wedding anniversary.

We had four adults and four children (7/6/6/2.5 years), so we needed a larger home. This stood out to us on VRBO as one of the best options in the area, and when we arrived, it was exactly as advertised.
The master bedrooms are gigantic and the upstairs bedroom has an incredible balcony with a view of the water. The new air conditioning units in each bedroom made it far more comfortable than it otherwise would have been for sleeping. That's a great upgrade. The kitchen is well-equipped (I wanted to steal the electric kettle), and the open concept with the living and dining room makes it great for families to keep an eye on kids.
Outside, the lawn was great for the kids, and the beach beyond is perfect. We were there in summer, so the waves were small. There are some rocky areas in the water, but it's easy to avoid them. We couldn't get the kids out of the water.
There is a creek on the side of the house that, at least when we were there, didn't flow into the ocean but just pooled short of it. It did act as a great place for the kids to explore. There were tadpoles all over, and a mother with her little ducklings grew up in front of our eyes. It was like having our own pet ducks since they would come up to us every time they saw us, undoubtedly begging for food.
The location is great for access to Turtle Bay's beaches and restaurants (10 minutes), La'ie is only 10 minutes further (careful, it's a dry town), and Foodland Pupukea is just 10 minutes the other way. Waimea Falls is right beyond that. Unfortunately, traffic from that point on to Hale'iwa is pretty awful in the afternoons, so if you plan on doing a lot of driving longer distances, get ready to sit for a long time and get frustrated. But for those looking to stay local and take advantage of the north shore, this house is an excellent choice.

Unforgettable family vacation
Our family just returned from an unforgettable week at Hale Pono. Elyse, we had such an incredible time in your home! We were celebrating my Mom's 80th birthday and she was thrilled; said it was exactly what she and my Dad wanted for our family vacation. We could not have asked for a more beautiful location. The views were amazing and it was so perfect to be able to just walk down to the beach and snorkel every day. We loved sitting on the lanai so much that we ate dinner at home every night and watched the beautiful sunsets. There were 9 of us and there was plenty of room for everyone. My daughter loved the outdoor shower so much that she used it every single day! Even though we loved our spot, we did get out and explore Shark’s cove for snorkeling and made our way into Haleiwa for shaved ice. We also made sure to walk over to Ted’s Bakery for some yummy pie! A big thank you to Alix for greeting us and making sure we were all set. Thank you so much for making our trip such a memorable experience. We truly hope to make it back again! Mahalo.

This is a beautiful sunlit home. It is meticulously maintained and decorated. The snorkeling and beautiful beach just steps from the back deck. This house is perfect for a group of friends or a family. You won’t want to leave.

Paradise found
This house was so beautiful and the location is so great there is very little reason to leave once you arrive! We spent 80% of our vacation on the beach in back of the yard and patio at the home. Alix was easy to reach and so helpful with any thing we needed. The house was very clean and the bedrooms spacious. We were there with 3 generations of family members and never felt crowded. We are looking forward to returning again for other family vacations.

Quiet beach house
This home is located in a gated community just on the edge of Sunset beach. It has the best beach entry for swimmers. There is a wash out next to the property were people walk through to access the beach. This was not a problem as everyone was either a local or were coming to enjoy the beach. On a busy day there was maybe 12 people. The home has nice views and a large sloping lawn to enter the beach. Alix is the caretaker who lives over the detached with her daughter and is more than helpful and pleasant. We only saw her once during our stay so don't worry about your privacy. The home is equipped with the standards that you would expect. There is alot of condiments left from others, so that you won't need to purchase too many necessities. It was very clean and we appreciated having A/C units in each of the bedrooms. I can highly recommend this property.

Very beautiful, and beach is almost private!
Everything was wonderful. A couple mintor issues were taken care of immediately by Alix, the property manager. We can't say enough about her warm welcome even though we arrived very late due to a canceled flight. She was so sweet in leaving us some food so we didn't have to go to bed hungry! The space was perfect for our family of 8, ages 4-64. We will definitely stay at Hale Pono again if we return to that area!

Amazing view, and perfect location !!!
What a truly beautiful home with all the extras. The master bedroom that takes the whole upper floor is truly amazing. Our three girls did not want to leave, and we plan on hopefully returning soon. This home was definitely more than expected and we loved the privacy and safety. Thank you so much Elyse for opening up your wonderful home to us we will never forget it.

Truly magical!
We just arrived home from a 9 night stay at Hale Pono and could not have been more pleased! The home itself is luxurious! Beautifully decorated but still very family friendly. We had our 4.5 year old son and our 3 adult daughters and the home worked perfectly for all ages. There were tons of sand toys, boogie boards, floats, etc. to make hanging at the beach fun as well as cozy beach towels. The linens and towels in the home were very high end and comfy. The kitchen literally had everything you could need...even to cook Thanksgiving dinner for 12 which we did! The views were incredible...truly some of the best we saw the entire trip were from the front porch. The outdoor shower made you really feel like you were on vacation! The owners put in A/C in the bedrooms which we only used on 2 nights when the wind wasn't as strong so that was a nice addition but honestly 95% of the time we didn't even thing about it since the weather and breeze were so nice. Every member of our family said it was their favorite vacation we have ever had which is saying a lot because we have taken some wonderful trips over the years! Mahalo for our magical Thanksgiving vacation! We hope to visit again soon!

Hale Pono must be the most fun, relaxing and beautiful beach house in the North Shore! The ultimate.
My favorite place in the world! Overlooking beautiful views in all directions, clear views of Velzyland and Freddyland surf breaks, incredible sunsets, mountain rainforest views to the South, Hale Pono is a serene and peaceful oasis in top of the line luxury with a classy, cool, high-end surfer vibe. You can just walk right out on to the sand and stroll down the beach, or jump right in the friendly blue waters. Bamboo, hardwood, black stone tile and a big Buddha in the living room keeps you in the Zen zone and fosters the adventure and deep relaxation of a true Hawaiian experience. Right by all the world-class surfing beaches, Turtle Bay restaurants and golf, minutes from Haleiwa, and only a 5-minute walk to Ted's for the best plate lunch in Oahu, Hale Pono is the ultimate base camp for an outrageous North Shore safari.
