About this cabin rental

Situated in Allegheny River, this charming cabin for $160 per night is a great choice for your next break. Sitting at the end of a quiet country lane, only yards from the water's edge, Camp Eagle's Nest is a peaceful haven with spectacular views of the mountains as well as the Driftwood branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin can accommodate a family looking for an escape from their everyday routine, or is cozy enough for a couple seeking a romantic retreat. Outdoors enthusiasts will enjoy the close proximity of trout streams and state forest lands. Nestled in the Pennsylvania Elk Range, Camp Eagle's Nest is a perfect location for elk watchers, anglers, hunters, bird watchers, and nature enthusiasts. Whether you are canoeing the Sinnemahoning, looking for elk sheds, watching for the frequently sighted bald eagle, golfing at the Emporium Country Club, hiking one of the many nearby trails or just breathing in the mountain air, Camp Eagle's Nest truly embodies what a "getaway" should be. Renovated extensively, the owners wanted to make the interior of Camp Eagle's Nest is an immersion in nature as well. Using trees harvested in Pennsylvania, each room has a unique ambiance. To bring the outdoors inside, the owners carefully chose decor with rustic detail such as the stone work on the fireplace with a live edge mantel, decorative game mounts, and live edge trim throughout the cabin. Though the feel of the cabin is rustic, guests will still have all of the modern amenities they enjoy at home such as a fully-stocked, modern kitchen, a washer and dryer, WiFi and cable television. We would love for you to join as for your next vacation, and experience a true "getaway!"

Lovely, quaint cottage away from busy everyday life. A short drive to plenty of elk, eagles visited everyday on river at your back door. Very nice small town bar- restaurant down the road 10 minutes away. Some businesses are seasonal, but we had no problem finding good food in the area. The cottage is furnished with a very nice updated kitchen if you just want to stay and chill cook your own meals. The owner is very nice and on top of any problem that may arise. My wife is already talking about a return stay. Told he we have to go back because we forgot to sign the register book. Great price and everything you need for a quiet getaway.

We had a good weekend and saw several elk. We would have preferred a cabin in the woods and a bit closer to Benezette, but it was a nice rental. With the exception of the windowsills and blinds it was quite clean. I’m very picky as we used to have a bed & breakfast.

This property exceeded my expectations. From the photos, I expected the rooms to be small but there was plenty of space. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and pots/pans. It was secluded enough to where there was very minimal traffic but close enough (30 min max) to Emporium and Benezette so we were able to get everything we needed. Although it was too cold to go in, the noise from the creek was very relaxing and peaceful. Can't wait to visit again! Note: If your vehicle is 4-wheel drive capable, I recommend driving up and visiting the "Top of the World" and "Fred Woods Trail". There's no GPS signal so directions are: Take a right, cross the bridge, cross the railroad tracks, and immediately take a left onto Mason Hill Rd. Now, this road is nicknamed Suicide Slope so do not attempt to drive this when it's wet, without 4-wheel drive, if you're under the influence, or in the winter. This road is one lane and whoever is on the mountain-side (not drop-off side) will need to pull over and yield to oncoming traffic. You'll go up for a while, veer slightly left, and then you'll eventually hit Fred Woods Trail (trail on right, parking lef). It can be muddy but is very beautiful (the hike is between 4-5 miles total). If you continue straight, eventually the overlook will be on your left. When leaving the overlook, turn left, continue straight (for a while) and you'll reach the other end of Mason Hill Rd. Turn left and you'll loop back to the property in about 20-30 minutes.

We had a wonderful time with our friends and our dogs. The veiws were amazing and to sit on the back porch with a cup of coffee in the morning only hearing the sound of the water was so relaxing
