It is half way from the North and South shores, and has a good combination of local 'real Hawaiian' life as well as vacation 'destination spots'. Kapaa Town is our favorite area for shopping , restaurants, walking and biking. It has the convenience of having grocery stores, farmer's market, banks and a post office in the immediate area The complex sits along the ocean (Makai) side of the road and is an easy walk to the Coconut Marketplace, restaurants (Hukilau Lanai, Sleeping Giant Grill, Chicken in a Barrel Barbecue, Lava Lava Beach Club) as well as grocery stores, two coffee shops (yes, including Starbucks), and many activities. These units always get great reviews from travelers and we have been very impressed with the management and maintenance staff.
