About this chalet rental
Ski in / ski out accommodation sleeps up to 7. This is a very unique chalet being one of the first built on the hill. A 15 minute walk to the village, this is a true ski hill experience. Be prepared to walk approximately one minute from the parking. Full kitchen and 2 full bathrooms with a spectacular view, 3 bedrooms, games room with pool table, sauna, 2 decks, laundry and great living space.

Older cabin not convenient to parking. Slog through the snow for a few minutes with a plastic tabogan required to unload stuff to cabin. Ski-in needs instructions on easiest way in order to avoid double bblacks which are the

First the pros:
The property is in a great location for a ski vacation. The ski in/out from the Burfield Chair is super easy and convenient. It's a bit down valley from the main village and super quiet - not a lot of activity on the Burfield Chair, which is great for those seeking a quieter getaway. The top floor of the house, where the communal spaces are located (kitchen, dining, living rooms) has sweeping west-facing views down the valley with lots of sunlight. The sauna was a real treat for soothing the muscles are a day of skiing.
Suggestions for Improvement:
Bedrooms: The beds/pillows/linens are uncomfortable and need updating. They seem super old - an update in these departments would go a long way to making a stay here more comfortable.
Kitchen: While the kitchen does have a lot of equipment, it could use an update in the utensils. The pots are new, which is great, but the pans are old non-stick which are flaking and peeling. Other utensils are old, rustly, and barely functioning. Replacing these with newer functioning ones is a must. We could not get the Keurig coffee maker to work with coffee pods as a piece was missing. The tea kettle fell apart and had to be screwed back together.
Other: A hallway light went out after the first day - changing the lightbulb did not help - seems to be defective. Also, we had trouble getting into the house on our first day because the keypad entry system had old batteries. Had to climb in the window, which was luckily unlocked, to get in and change the batteries ourselves. Owners should keep on top of the electronics to make sure future tenants are not locked out.
Lighting: The house is very dark. The living room especially needs more lighting, as well as some of the bedrooms.
Communication: Owners do not proactively reach out about check-in, how our stay was going, or check-out. The house has no manual available printed or online, leaving us scratching our heads about these processes. Had to reach out to the owner ourselves to figure out check-in procedures and how to get to the house. The TV/Stereo system could use some instructions.
Summary: This house is in a great location and definitely has potential as a great vacation rental, but is in need of small upgrades and more attention to details by the owner to make it a 5-star rental.
