About this cabin rental
Trout fish in your front yard while your wife enjoys the hot tub on the deck. This 1 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway or a weekend fishing trip. Cookout on the deck with the propane grill or dine out in one of the nearby restaurants. The cabin has an efficiency kitchen and a futon couch for young children. Cabin is located across the river from the Monongahela National Forest where thousands of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails await you. Canoeing, fishing, hiking, mountain bike riding. Erik was an amazing host. The cabin was lovely. Personally I am a side sleeper that likes a soft plush bed. I found the bed to be extremely hard but that’s me. Some people like a super firm bed. The WiFi was spotty at best but it’s rural WV, so not a good place to work remotely but if you’re looking for a beautiful place to relax and unwind and enjoy nature this is definitely the place to do it. The hot tub was amazing as well. Would definitely visit again.

the place ( rustic cabin ) was clean and orderlywhile temps fell below freezing on several nights the propane heater easily maintained a warm and comfortable environment pasted to the fridge were many letters of appreciation from former renters revealing a warm sentiment to the host and their experience during their time at the cabinwhile not close enough to the beautiful clean river to see it from the cabin the access to the water was simple enoughI'd brought my 4 yr old Golden Retriever who had a great time splashing and swimming in the river while retrieving frisbee throwsWe took a hike in the local mtns along the Otter Creek Trail which was nice, albeit ten miles in on a gravel rd to get to. Later in the week we drove a half hour to the beautiful and rugged Seneca Rocks and hiked it along with a friend I met while getting directions at Otter Creek. The guy was a forager and generously shared a large portion of the Chaga mushrooms he collected during one of his earlier forays. We reciprocated by taking him out for pizza in the nearby town of Elkton.
