It was just what we were looking for. Cooking our own meals, nice neighbourhood for walking our dog, very private. Our anniversary getaway. Enjoyed the winery, walked to the tip of Point Pelee and shopped at Cindy’s for some gourmet stuff.

A very generous host left lots of useful food and so it was easy to feel at home in Bills place.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in this cute little apartment for three weeks. On the second story of an historic brick and shake coach house, surrounded by mature trees, it felt like we were living in a tree house! The apartment is well appointed and came equipped with basic amenities supplied by our gracious host. The fully functioning kitchen has an assortment of pots, pans, and dishes if you're inclined to cook, and we made many meals using local ingredients. The bedroom is bright and airy and features one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Rounding out the apartment is a full size bathroom with a great tub, and a perfect little den with a couch, two chairs, and a television. We greatly enjoyed sitting outside under the trees, and had many walks with our dogs around the beautiful neighborhood. We highly recommend this property for anyone who wants a cozy home away from home for an extended stay, or for travellers who want something a little different from a lake-front cottage.

We ended up leaving two days early. No further contact from property owner despite leaving early. The toilet kept backing up. The power went off and no communication from property owner. On the plus side, they were very gracious with supplying food and beverage for beginning of stay.

First, the bare facts: The ‘Dancing Tree’ apt. is a 4-room, over-garage apt. separate from the owner’s house. The bed was very comfortable. The apt. was very clean (especially the bathroom), everything works, and all the interactions with the owner were straightforward and transparent. A long list of extras make this a great value and indicate the deep experience of the owner. We found farm eggs, homemade jams, butter, milk, OJ, & cereal on hand, which was a great convenience and savings. We always eat-in in our VRBO’s and we found the kitchen to have everything we needed logically and conveniently placed. We noticed some reviews complaining about the bed, but we found the bed to be extremely comfortable. The location is in ‘Canada’s garden’, with numerous fresh produce stands within blocks. And it’s 15 mins to Point Pelee National Park. This is a pretty, private, practical place run by owners who understand what a guest needs. Highest recommendation.

Overall this apartment is good to stay except some minor problems: too much mosquitoes outside the front door, soft bed and high pillows, thus caused back and neck pain when waking up in the next morning, rugs were dirty needed to clean up. Unfortunately my dog guarded the door by sleeping on it. The owner, Bill is very polite and provided us all the privacy. The boarding house overall was nice and clean. Not much to see in Kingsville though. One night stay should be enough.
