The pictures were very accurate. We loved all of the amenities. We loved having individual living spaces for entering and exiting. We loved the main house and lanais. The views were A-mazing!!! Pool area was great as well. Matt was very attentive when needed. My family enjoyed the space. We had family staying at another place, however each evening the hung out at our space because it was that inviting!! Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your space.

We stayed here for our annual family vacation. It was very relaxing and wonderful in every way. We did have an issue with ants in the kitchen but I bought ant spray and that worked. Would definitely stay there again.

This property was everything we hoped for and more. I was there with my family and we enjoyed an amazing time. The house with the theater was wonderful. The bedrooms with the big showers was a big hit with everyone. The pool and hot tub was a big hit. I would highly recommend this property and hope that we can return some day. I can’t even. Million dollar views. Luxurious accommodations. Intentional placement of all the foliage, rooms, and swimup bar. A lychee farm that had my mother excited to explore, my children fascinated with the wildlife on premises, and a perfect place for family pictures. It was all more than enough for our family and I kept pinching myself about this absolutely unique estate. Matt was a graciously available provider with any questions or needs- and EVERYONE in our family commented about how the bar has been raised. Thank you for making this trip UNBEATABLE.

Our stay at the Royal Palms Estate was everything we had hoped for. The property was just as listed, clean and in great shape. Matt the property manager was waiting for us when we arrived, went through everything and gave us great insights into the island. When we arrived the a/c in the main room did not work. The property manager was aware of it before we checked in. He fixed it the next day. The 5 th bedroom-poolside bedroom is literally a tiny room that holds a double bed. No dressers or shelving. It smelled like urine. The morning after we checked in we started getting sewer backup in the pool bathroom. Matt was very quick to check on the problem. It was not a quick fix so we had to go to a hotel for the night-Matt said Jeff would reimburse us, we are waiting to see. The next day we again had sewer backup and Matt once again had to spend the day fixing it. We had no further issues with that. The pool was amazing, a little cool but tolerable. Hot tub fantastic. Fruit on the property was great. Awesome coconuts and oranges. View of the ocean was beautiful. The property is ocean view not oceanfront. There is a major road that goes between the property and the ocean. We would stay here again!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Palms Estate. The property is beautiful and full of wildlife. We really enjoyed listening to the birds and spotting whales while drinking our morning coffee on the patio. On a couple of occasions we even saw a flock of Kalij pheasants wandering the property. The 4 bedroom suites were quite spacious with huge showers. The 5th bedroom was a little smaller than expected and ended up flooding one of the nights during a rain storm. Since our group was a mixture of early risers and night owls, it was an added benefit having the main house separate from the bedrooms. Thank you for the avocados, Matt!

Rented this amazing property I visit a family member who lives in Hawaii. There were four family couples and the rooms worked perfect! Loved that the rooms and main building were separate. Made it nice for later sleepers. Property was stunning. Since we left a foot of snow and -14* in Colorado, then sun and pool was just what we needed. It has everything you need to relax and enjoy being together. It will always be our VRBO when headed back to visit family in Hawaii!! Matt and Joe were super easy to work with.

The placre is fantastic!! it was our own hawaiin paradise. The pool with lights, the heated jacuzzi that seats so many, the waterfall feature in the pool, and the views of the property from the pool are all amazing. Beautiful and private property with ocean views. The gathering spaces epitomized Hawaiin hospitality. Incredible views from every window, spacious lanias, lush grounds and all with the most responsive host. He had everything set up for us, pool lit, jacuzzi on, lights, etc as we arrived later than anticipated. the bedroom suites are clean, very large and equipped with everything to make it a complete resort experience. Walk in showers every room We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Visiting the Hilo and Kona sides was easy from this retreat. Thank you Matt!!

It was my 25th birthday, my boyfriends 25th, and my cousins 25th wedding anniversary, it was amazing. The views were great. Matt was awesome. Just a good time.

We had four couples out for my 50th birthday. Matt met us at the house to give us the walk through on how everything worked. He was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He gave us several suggestions and some local knowledge to help us navigate the island. He even met us for a round of golf which was great. The house was everything you expected and then some. Beautiful, fun and perfect layout for what our group was looking to do, which was to blow off some Covid steam and relax in a beautiful environment. We couldn’t ask for anything more! We’ve already discussed going back for another week of heaven!

We absolutely loved this house! We stayed for 10 days and the view and house are absolutely amazing! We even saw whales from the lanai! Matt was great! He helped us with everything we needed. The set up is perfect to not disturb other guests if you are traveling in a group. We had an 8 month old with us and he was able to go to sleep peacefully and not get woken up with others staying up late. Definitely would come and stay again!

Very beautiful property. Much nicer and bigger in person than the pictures show. Property manager Matt super friendly and very helpful, wish he could’ve came hang out with us. One week was not long enough. We all were actually sad to leave but we’ll be back soon!!!

We ended up not going due to the Corona crisis (scheduled arrival Friday March 13th 2020, the day the US closed the borders to foreigners, and the day after the Danish government changed their travel advise for the US to not endorse any unnecessary travel). Hence this review is purely based on our communication with the property owner, operations manager as well as the owner-recommended private chef. The communication with the owner was very positive, always quick and helpful replies. It is clear, that there is much more to this property, than the description and pictures can tell. The owner was extremely helpful in our planning, allowing us to schedule flights before final booking, and treated us way over our expectations in all aspects. The recommended private chef, Dori Harvin, made an incredible menu that should have been served at my fathers 75th birthday, although we haven’t tasted the food, it is clear that she has a very strong passion for gastronomy, and a very high skill set. The communication with the operations manager was also quick and efficient, he was very helpful with arrival recommendstions as well as answering various questions regarding the property and area. In spite of the strange situation, I highly recommend this property, owner, ops manager and private chef Dori Harvin. Very trustworthy, serious and helpful. I really hope we get to go some other time, once this terrible situation has passed.
