Beautiful property and Debbie made us feel right at home!

We rarely get away for the weekend, so we’re particular about where we stay—and we couldn’t have chosen better. This quiet, serene farmstead is just what we were looking for. The hosts are very welcoming and available if needed. The farmstead in its entirety feels beautifully lived-in, tucked away in steep hillsides with exposed boulders, pastures, old orchards, and forests - lots of room to explore, roam, and contemplate. The cottage was perfect, with everything we could want for our weekend escape. Highlights included a back porch overlooking old apple trees, grapevines, a few chickens, and birdwatching with morning coffee. And if we were lucky, the cat would bestow on us a brief visit. Clear directions lead you to a hike that starts right behind the cottage. We highly recommend a walk to the top and around the rim of the property for sweeping 360 degree mountain views, wildflowers, and plenty of birdwatching, ending in a pasture where two curious donkeys welcome you back. The property is a short drive to Lansing, an idyllic small town complete with a small local grocery store, coffee shop, weekend tailgate market, and a greenway that follows the river. If you can tear yourself away, other unique natural areas are close by, including Grayson Highlands, which offers high elevation forest hikes, and Appalachian balds. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to friends.

An Absolutely Magical Stay! Our stay at Old Orchard Creek Farm was nothing short of incredible! From the very beginning, the owners made everything seamless by emailing detailed information before our arrival—even while they were on vacation. We felt completely prepared and welcomed before we even got there.Debbie, who was on-site during our stay, deserves a standing ovation. She was truly the sweetest host we’ve ever encountered—attentive, engaging, resourceful, and genuinely kind. She made us feel right at home and was always happy to help with anything we needed. The cottage itself was perfect for our family of four—cozy, comfortable, and stocked with all the necessities. It had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time together.Even though the blueberries weren’t in season, the farm was a joy to explore. Seeing the dogs and donkeys roaming around was such a treat—they were beyond precious and added so much charm to the experience. And the highlight of our entire stay: Luca’s Path hiking trail. Wow. Just wow. With clear directions and a well-marked path, it ended up being one of the best hikes I've ever done. The view at the top was spectacularly breathtaking—the kind of moment that makes you stop, soak it all in, and feel incredibly grateful.Everything about our stay was wonderful, peaceful, and memorable. We left with full hearts and beautiful memories and cannot recommend Old Orchard Creek Farm highly enough. We will absolutely be returning!
Guests had a wonderful time at the property, praising the peaceful and beautiful surroundings, well-appointed cabins, excellent hosts, and the enjoyable hiking trails. They look forward to returning in the future.
