The location is amazing. The waterfront home was fabulous- very comfortable - bed and furnishings. Everything you need is there to relax and enjoy for self contained living - which I oh do need as while there are a few nice places for coffee etc close by they are not within walking distance. The location home is fabulous though and the little touches - a coffee maker with enough coffee for two cups and some milk ensure you can self serve if happy to do so.
A few little moments - I personally found it frustrating that you advertise it as two bedroom when in fact if you rent it as a couple you only get to use the main one bedroom part - booking.com - you need to make this clear. The agency are also quite offish in their communication- I’d asked for a later checkout - totally disregarded after being quite short about us only being able to use one of the two rooms. It’s off putting. Their comms are all about ensuring you empty the bins and leave it as you’ve found it or you’ll be charged etc etc. Also the shower - low pressure - and a notice in there that if you use excess water you’ll be charged. At this price point?? It was somewhat off-putting.

April 2026 - From the photos I thought this property was completely isolated. It is very private and feels like a bit of coastal paradise in a cul-de-sac of houses. The best of both worlds. The views from every conceivable room - even the bathroom! - gives this house a serenity we very much enjoyed. And for me, of the 3 places we stayed so far in Tasmania, this was my favourite bed! Comfortable, supportive, nice linens and fluffy pillows. And an electric blanket! But admitted we didn’t find the controls for one side until we were leaving as that was tucked under the mattress! Easy to do. The bathroom is very big, the full kitchen was used and we liked the coffee machine! We spied a cute wallaby at dusk in the nicely designed garden! Lovely place, easy to be here much longer than the 2 nights we stayed. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. It took us a minute to find the info on the wifi - a framed notice on the wall. We’re a bit old-school and were looking for the book. And only small comment because I’m very short, the benches in the bathroom are very tall! Taller than normal. And apparently you’re not allowed to light the fire until May.
Thanks for a lovely stay!
Though we completely understand the reason, we were excited to see the wood-burning stove and sad we couldn’t have the fire because of the fire restrictions.
