Went beyond all expectations

We had the most amazing stay at the Big Blue Villa by Caldera Houses. The Villa is absolutely stunning and perfect for a group of four people like we were. Firstly the villa itself was located in the most perfect place - you had the amazing ocean view on one side and the charming buildings of Santorini on the other side which resulted in a lot of pictures. Another big plus was the stillness and privacy from other tourists. We were located in a private area where we could explore without having to worry about the crowds. Secondly the breakfast was so good!! We were looking forward to it every morning as it was a variation of delicious things every time. We loved it! Mary and her colleagues were very helpful and available at any time if we needed anything. This was highly appreciated by us and we could not have been more content with them. The cleaning staff were also lovely and did a very good job whenever we needed cleaning. Overall this whole experience went beyond all expectations and we will definitely go back! I would 100% recommend this villa to everyone!

Best view from the villa , this villa stay in quiet area from tourists The staff will help you out with the luggages The villa is clean , comfort and they also prepared you a welcome gift Please , noted that the road in Oia is very steep so it will be easier if you bring only fews small bags (not like me)

Greece on the fly! Island hopping!

The location and overall atmosphere of the property was simply mesmerizing. Communication from the management was just wonderful, they were available on demand, and every text was answered. The breakfast was lovely to have outside my door in the morning, and I literally sat in the outdoor tub for hours on end, wine glass in hand, just enjoying the amazing view. Despite a few little quirks, this place is simply magical and (while I hate to say this as I hope the price doesn’t increase) it’s worth every penny.

The location is wonderful with incredible photo ops….which means you may have to elbow tourists out of your way as you make your way down to the property. Many of them blatantly ignore the ropes/gates set up for the properties down the hill. There was even a cruise tour guide bringing a group down past the gate when I got back from my hike. NOT the property’s fault, just something to consider. I also did not expect to have such close neighbors to the bedroom patio (which was essentially a shared balcony with a curtain type divider), mine were very loud. But did quiet down evebtuskly. Oia in general means great views but crowds BECAUSE you’re living on top of one another! Happy problem. 🙂

Living in the villa was like being inside a painting! The view is breathtaking, we couldn’t get enough of the scenery! The villa was very well equipped and beautifully decorated. The hot tub was definitely a highlight. The host and her associates were very friendly and helpful, we felt so welcomed! Totally recommended! Hope to visit this fantastic place again!

The villa has the most amazing view of Oia and Caldera! It is tidy, spacious & relaxing!

The villa is situated right in the heart of Oia with the most amazing view of the caldera and the blue domes and the famous sunset just on the horizon. One could easily stay here all day and relax and just soak in the beauty of Santorini from the heated jacuzzi or you can watch the world go by and have the slowest day to just be present with your loved one(s) and be mindful of the world around you. We celebrated my 40th birthday there with my wife and child and we had the most memorable stay! The villa is very tidy and has everything you need---wifi, kitchen essentials, towels, blankets, hairdryer, and bathroom essentials. The shops and the restaurants are just within the next 5-to minute walk from the villa. Mary was super helpful and always available to us and answered all our questions and helped us arrange for the experiences and things we wanted to happen during our stay.

The breakfast is almost the same every day so could be improved by having more options and varieties. I understand it's already arranged with a local baker but could be more flexible especially for families with children. :)

There were many ants inside the room. It was unconfortable and disgusting. And we could not choose breakfast time and menu. Completely the same menu everyday. Services and facilities are not proportional to price.

Super amazing stay

Really nice villa, very clean, decoration was amazing and the view was overwhelming It couldnt be located in a better spot The hostess Mary was really nice to us and worried a lot about everything We asked for an early check in and they made it possible for us We would totally recomend it

The outside bath water was hot, so it was not very refreshing

We booked this place for our honeymoon trip, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Fantastic location and very romantic ambiance topped off with lovely jacuzzi tub. Almost everything defines the magic of Santorini can be seen from the window and the patio and the deal here is that you can take as many pics as you wish all for yourself without waiting for crowds. The hostess Mary offered us fantastic choices for dinner and was always there for help and assistance.

Unforgettable Stay, Stunning View

It is a beautiful apartment, comfortable and relaxing, but of course there is one thing that stands above all, the reason why you came here and what you will never forget, which is the view. Nothing I write will ever be enough to describe it. I was fortunate enough to be here right before the tourism season started, so Oia looked even more breathtaking.

If there is one thing that could be elevated a little bit - but in no way spoiled our experience - was the breakfast. It would have been great if we could have tasted a couple of different things during our stay, instead of the same things every day.

Amazing view, great hospitality

Wow! I must say that the photos of the interior don't do the place justice. It is so spacious, beautiful and has a lovely design. The host Mary was so attentive and arranged our pick up, organised the boat trip for my birthday and even had a porter take us to our next accommodation. Any questions we had she answered swiftly. Such a memorable trip! The view from the pool is stunning!

Worth every penny for the view

After a very extensive research on accommodation in Oia - we chose this place, mainly for its view. We were meant to go to a more expensive place in Oia but we couldn’t justfy the price so we opted for this place at around £300. Bear in mind - it is not a hotel. It’s one of many apartments they manage in Oia. It does have an amazing view, probably the best view you can get in Oia but completely to yourself. If you want to take the best photo of Oia, this is the place and you have all the space to yourself. Despite some of the downside, Catherine was very nice to arrange things for us and make up for the issues we had. If she did not step in to help us on various thing, our experience here would’ve been very different and would not have given a review above 7. But yep, overall it ended up to be a very memorable stay thanks to her and I recommend this place if you are after a perfect view without breaking your bank account.

The porter we met was quite rude - he kept saying some things about China when we’ve already told him we are not chinese. He kept calling my partner’s name in a weird way (he has an asian name) along the journey to the apartment, and he just kept going on saying something about China which we felt was quite rude and racist behaviour. The room was not so clean - a lot of dust everywhere and the bed sheet did not have pleasant odour. The pool was dirty but this was taken care of when we asked Catherine to clean it. It has some strong chemical odours but I guess it’s what all the pools and hottub in Oia would be like. We also had an issue with ants (there was a hole where lots of ants kept coming out) but when we told Catherine about this she kindly sent a man to do disinfection of the flat.
