Situated in Upper Hominy, this lovely cabin for $235 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Treetop Mountain Vista, nestled within tall trees, abundant wildlife and stunning views, provides an authentic mountain experience of getting back to nature and a promise of being dazzled by the environment that surrounds you! Known for its inspiring views, privacy and serene atmosphere, our cabin is the perfect getaway for the romantic at heart. Our Cozy and inviting home features a King Bed (stunning view can be seen from bed), Beautiful Wood Burning Stove, Reading Nook with a variety of books, Love Seat, and Flat Screen TV with a satellite program. Also a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your favorite meals, Hot Tub and gas grill on the totally private deck, which is partially covered for outdoor dining even in a gentle rain. If you time your trip right you may even witness a full moon coming up over the mountains and sailing across the sky! The bathroom provides a Ceramic Tile Walk In Shower, Old Amish Cabinet and a Copper Bowl Sink. We now have a fire pit with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing campfire. Just bring the marshmallows and hot dogs! Treetop Mountain Vista is easily accessible with any kind of vehicle and is only a quarter mile from the main road. We are only minutes away from Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt. Pisgah, the Biltmore Estate and the Asheville Outlets Mall. Enjoy many varied activities as you explore white water rafting, kayaking, hiking, the Pisgah National Forest, fly fishing, hot air ballooning, mountain biking, climbing, community theater and the "Land of Waterfalls" in nearby Transylvania County. Take in Asheville for our world class restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, antique, vintage clothing and craft shops, parks, Pack Square, quirky tours and let's not forget the abundance of micro-breweries. Plenty of time for day trips?...check out the nearby mountain towns of Waynesville, Black Mountain, Brevard, Flat Rock and Chimney Rock. Or you may choose to bring your supplies, never leave the property and just enjoy relaxing or exploring the mountain behind the cabin. Many guests do just that!!! (Dogs especially love it because they can run off leash!) If your visit to Asheville includes hiking or biking, then you’ve landed on the right pad! TTMV is perfectly situated within easy driving distance to many of the best trails in Western NC. We are only 4.5 miles from where the famous “Mountains to Sea Trail” intersects at MP 405 with the Blue Ridge Parkway and Hwy 151. (Also named Pisgah Highway, a very scenic road in it’s own right.) Go South on the Blue Ridge Parkway to “Looking Glass Rock”trail on the left, (a rigorous trail with a famous view) and go a little further to “Graveyard Fields” on the right. Keep going to Black Balsam Rd on the right (easy to miss) with trail heads and at the end is the “Art Loeb Trail” section 3, which is part of the “Shining Rock Wilderness Area”. (This writer has been on that trail several times but has yet to make it to Shining Rock). These are only suggestions and to learn more about these wonderful opportunities and more, go to sites such as “Hike WNC” and “Asheville Hiking Tours”. You do NOT need a four-wheel, SUV, Jeep or large truck to access any of these hikes. For less exhilarating hiking adventures, check out the NC Arboretum and Bent Creek Experimental Forest, both of which are only 20 minutes from this cabin. Or spend a day on the Biltmore Estate trails.

The listing does not do this property justice, it is even better in person and the view is grand. This place is very nice, tucked away just far enough to enjoy the quiet stars at night but not too far away from good activities. Perfect for dogs. The host was incredible and insightful. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed staying here. We loved sitting outside listening to all the animals and enjoying the hot tub. It was so peaceful out there. The house has everything you could need and bonus entertainment with the pool table. I would love to stay again, because it was homey and so close to everything we wanted to see!

Our weekend away in this cozy little cabin was absolutely wonderful! The cabin was quaint and just so welcoming. It was very clean and well equipped with the necessities to make our stay everything we needed to for me to have an amazing birthday weekend away. The Property Manager is very intentional in making sure to provide a place for you to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The scene of the beautiful mountains of God’s creation is breathtaking!! We definitely would love to come back should we visit Asheville again.

Nancy’s place is always such a joy! The views were amazing and the leaves were perfectly colored. So thankful that we are able to enjoy this property. It’s the 3rd time we have visited and plan to be back more!

We very much enjoyed our time. Nancy was very responsive to our questions. The home was in good order and the description of the steep driveway was accurate (very steep but navigated it well).
The views and color of the leaves did not disappoint.
A few minor tweaks would have put us over the top. The Jacuzzi temperature only read 104 which seemed generally cooler than we were accustomed to. The oven door was rather dirty and the glassware could be updated.
Certainly the tweaks are minor compared to the responsiveness of the owner and the beautiful views that we enjoyed.
Love this area of the country during this time of year.

This cabin is the perfect combination of location, coziness, and cleanliness. We fell for the cabin, hot tub and view online and it did not fair to impress. Waking every day to the mountains and changing colors was so exciting! The cabin has everything you need, including robes for hot tubbing. Plus, the owner, Nancy, is super responsive and nice. it was Devine! Super private, rustic, cozy and romantic-stargazing and a view from the hot tub was magical. Close to great hiking, wonderful dinners in Asheville and fun for our dog. we loved it and will definitely be back! This property was so beautiful! There are a few nearby cabins but this one rests at the top of a hill and you cannot see any of them from the property. The location is perfect for anyone who wants to be close to the blue ridge parkway and hiking. We would definitely come back!

What an absolutely gorgeous place. My wife and I needed a weekend getaway and this was precisely what we had in mind. It is exactly as described and depicted in the photos, and was just as secluded as we'd hoped. The views were beautiful, the hot tub nice and warm, and Nancy thought of absolutely everything. We had only a short stay in Nancy’s cabin but that didn’t matter! I don’t think I’ve ever felt as rested after a short weekend trip as I did after leaving the treetop mountain vista. It’s so calm and peaceful and the cabin is one of the most comfortable VRBOs ive stayed in.

The cabin was extremely clean and very well kept. The view of the mountains was as pictured. We really liked the location in relation to the Blue Ridge Parkway since our goal was to explore as much nature as possible by car since this was our first trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The location gave us the opportunity to visit many overlooks and also go back onto Ashville, when needed. It was very relaxing with a great view! I would recommend having breakfast at the cabin ro enjoy the view with your coffee or drink of choice. Also, the room next to the bathroom was a huge bonus for me. When I am on vacation, I like my bags, etc. out of site for a more relaxing atmosphere and the extra room did just that. The area where the fridge sat was also a bonus for me. That gave us a space for our travel cooler as well as our spare groceries to be out of site too. We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks for making our stay great!

We chose this place for a romantic long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. It was absolutely perfect! It provided lots of privacy without being too far outside of the city. The bed was super comfortable, the sheets were soft, and the view was spectacular. The hot tub worked great, which we have found to be a real gamble with other places we have rented in the past. We decided to stay in one night and cook dinner, which the kitchen had all the right amenities to make this happen (sharp knives, good supply of spices, and cooking pans)! Nancy was a superb host. She was a prompt communicator and was so helpful when we had questions about the area.
If you are wanting an authentic cozy cabin getaway, this is The Spot!

What a great house and location. The view is spectacular. We felt like the house was bigger than the pictures made it seem. Plenty of room for us. Loved that there is fence material around the deck since we had our smallish dog with us. Was very nice to relax in the hot tub with that view. We're not really pool players but it was fun to play a couple of games in the evening.
The driveway is steep but doable. We were in a 4WD truck but I also drove up it in 2WD with no issues. Most of it is between 12 &15% grade with the most at 19%. Also there is room to turn around once you are at the top, even in a full size truck with a kayak in the back.
We did several hikes, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Ashville, and kayaked Lake Junaluska, all an easy drive from the house.
Would definitely stay here again!!

Complete privacy in a beautiful cabin. I recommend you go to looking glass falls and the sliding rocks. The ride on the way there leads you to the top of mount Pisgah which is totally worth it!

The cabin location was excellent and in great condition. It absolutely met our expectations and was very clean. The hot tub view is just beautiful and a relaxing way to end a day of hiking. I appreciated all of the little details that Nancy put into the space like setting aside special towels for pets if you bring them as well as a special throw for the pets. We also had a power outage due to a bad storm during our stay and before we could reach out to Nancy ourselves to find out what kind of time frame was expected for a return of service, she had already reached out to us with information. We really appreciated that attention to our comfort.
