About this house rental
Nestled in Sierra Nevada, this attractive house for $406 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. This property is perfect for families or groups to get away to relax and explore, this is a custom hilltop home on 7 park like acres, with incredible views into the Sierras. Each bedroom is appointed with a queen bed and deck access. You'll enjoy the private "country" setting and the proximity to the several Gold rush towns of Mariposa area. Just over an hour, through our "Wild and Scenic" Merced River Canyon, is Yosemite National Park. A large slate courtyard separates the free-form pebble tech pool from the jetted hot tub and barbecue area. Just out your second level bedroom door is a huge wraparound deck, perfect for amazing stargazing. Inside you'll find tile and hardwood floors throughout. The guest bath includes a large jetted bathtub, while the master bath has a double shower heads and a sitting area. A 50 inch flat screen TV and a cozy wood stove are located in the conversation area. The wood for the stove is always fully stocked for a cold winter’s night. The sitting room/library offers a peaceful place to read, relax on the soft couch or set outside the door onto the balcony for beautiful views. The library offers a a wide variety of adult and children's books. For the more active, there's a pool, Jacuzzi, basketball court and an unconditioned game room separate from the house. In the game room there is a slate top pool table, darts, dice at the bar and plenty of places to hang out. We offer a large selection of board games and puzzles. It is close to the Badger Pass winter sports area and ice skating in the park and Tenaya Lodge. We offer snow sleds for a fun day to play in the snow. We also have a charming cozy cottage on the same property, which is private and separate from the house. The cottage can be rented with the house for a big get together. This was a great house to stay in with our family! We enjoyed everything about the property, and the owners even refunded us some of the fee when my parents had to leave early.

The property is awesome. The Man Cave was always busy. Family played a lot of pool, darts and basketball. The only issue we had was getting to the property requires driving on rough and gravel roads so biking and walking with my walker (because of Parkinson’s) was not an option. The hosts were super responsive and friendly😉‼️

This property is so nice. The house sits on a hill and the view is beautiful. I enjoyed how quiet it is and no one bothers you at all. We had a problem with the lock box and was given a solution right away after a phone call. Very kind people Susan!

Our family of nine stayed here for five nights in October. It was the perfect place as the grandkids enjoyed swimming in the pool as well as the puzzles and books available in the library/bedroom. We also had a little time to play billiards. The location was great as the drive to Yosemite Valley was generally about 90 minutes, with some of the other places we hiked or fished within a 2-hour time frame. Susan was wonderful with communicating with us and giving us recommendations of sights to see in Yosemite. The photos are accurate as to the beautiful views and great outside area to enjoy! We would definitely stay here again if we decide to visit this area.

We enjoyed our 3 night 4 day stay at Yosemite Oaks. The location and property was just what we needed for a low hassle wedding in the Yosemite National Park. There was a diverse selection of activities for our family to do while staying on the property- unwind, enjoy the hot tub or hanging out in the cave.

We have stayed at this property before but this time also rented the cottage with is just as amazing as the main house. The pool and hot tubs are so amazing. Susan was so prompt to answer my many questions and easy to get a hold of. The outdoor space is so inviting and spacious. My children and parents enjoyed the property equally. It’s also an easy drive to Yosemite.Thank you for allowing our family to make great memories at your property once again.

We had a fabulous time at their house as plenty of space for the 8 of us. We cooked a meal together and kitchen was well stocked with supplies. The pool was a perfect refreshing temperature and warm enough to enjoy swimming. Hot tub was also great! Plenty of patio space to enjoy the nice warm evenings and Man Cave for playing games was fun! The home was very clean and swim towels were provided for everyone! Extra blankets too for the beds. The owner was very friendly and responsive to all questions and provided a binder of easy to follow instructions and great recommendations for restaurants in town.

This was the perfect house for our Yosemite trip. The kids swam then we went to the park in the late afternoon after the long lines and crowds. 1 hour to the park entrance from the house. The kitchen is well equipped if you plan to cook, and the owners are absolutely fantastic! We had a quick issue with pg&e and they dropped off a cooler of cold drinks and water for us. We hope to be back!

This property was perfect for our family to get to spend time together. We cooked, swam, enjoyed the hot tub, played board games, spent a good amount of time on the game room (pool table, darts and Nintendo) and just relaxing on the balcony or patio.
We found everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. They even stock sun screen, bug repellant and a first aid kit, if needed.

Lovely location, nice and peaceful. Pool was refreshing and jacuzzi was hot. Enjoyed morning breakfast on the spacious balcony. Great place to recharge and lounge the day away. This place is definitely in the country. So bring food and drinks.

We were there for a wedding in Mariposa and the proximity to town was good, but away from most activity (except wildlife.) The owners were very responsive to inquiries and did much to make our stay the best.

We sat by the wood-burning stove, watched movies, played games, and enjoyed the hot tub, basketball hoop, and game room. We woke one morning to a light dusting of snow on the green grass and trees around the house and on nearby hillsides. It was too cold to swim in Feb., but this would be a great home for a summer vacation with friends and family. Our host Susan was accessible and so helpful during our stay, answering our every question and even bringing over their snowshoes to borrow when we went to Badger Pass! We had a small issue with the dvd player which she instantly fixed for us. We have not ever had quite such a friendly, helpful, and attentive host for a home rental. The property is well placed for a day in majestic Yosemite, which was covered in snow and a true winter wonderland. It’s a drive to get there, but we left early and enjoyed a full day in the park. It was fun to return to the house in the country at the end of the day. We feel relaxed and recharged after our stay at Yosemite Oaks. Thank you Susan and Brian for a wonderful ski week getaway.

We had a wonderful getaway with our favorite travel family - all together we were 4 adults, 4 teenagers. We were close enough to Yosemite to hike 2 out of our 4 days - once in the sequoias, once to Half Dome. We spent 1 day in Mariposa poking around the shops and eating out. The house was a nice place to come home to -- the kids loved the hot tub and the adults loved the well equipped kitchen, hang out areas, and comfy beds. The hosts were helpful and accommodating.
