Quiet neighborhood setting. Nice backyard for relaxing. Well equipped with beach accessories including snorkel gear. Large whirlpool tub and comfortable bed. Be prepared for carrying luggage to second floor.

It was an easy choice to make when I saw the grounds in the photos. I did not read that it was upstairs, but it was still perfect. It has a laundry room that is shared with other guests, but at least it had one to use. I loved the drip coffee maker vs the new one cup ones. It seems slower, but that second cup is so much easier. We were able to cook some meals quite easily. Lots of linens and hangers and storage for clothes.it was great having access to all of the beach gear. Everything you could hope for on vacation and more

Cute little place, clean, private backyard very nice. They had beach toys which were awesome. Good location. Bed is comfortable. Only down fall is the tv is really small. Overall highly recommend!

My girlfriend and I spent the better part of a week at this gem of a property.
Most nights we slept with just the ceiling fans on and the windows open, and only used the AC briefly to cool down the room after a day at the beach. The neighborhood is tranquil.
The kitchen had the basics stocked and the supermarket is a quick drive.
The outdoors shared area (shared with main house renters) is very well kept, reading nook, laundry, hottub, grilling area, and chairs were all thoughtfully laid out and available for use.
We made good use of the beach chairs, umbrella, and snorkeling gear. We took lunch with us using one of the coolers.
We really enjoyed our stay, thanks Ali and Jonathan for making it such a pleasant one. We too asked for a late checkout (a few hours) and they let us know it was no problem. This allowed us to spend a few hours on our last day on the beach and still have a place to clean up before our flight out.
Maui Tips:
Be sure to stop by Leoda's for pies and Mama's Fish House for a meal; an absolute must on Maui.
If you're lucky like we were, you'll find a hidden waterfall and private swimming area on the road to Hana with nobody in sight.
Some things for other travelers to note about the location:
The Kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook with, including some basic spices and sugar, sans cooking oil, and the fridge was completely cleared out.
The unit is really set up like a honeymooners suite, and there's no doorway to the bathroom sink/shower/jacuzzi tub area. (There is a door to the toilet, thankfully ;)
Do watch the crumbs in the kitchen, the ants will find them. Bags of chips on the counter and the trash didn't seem to catch their attention, thankfully.
The beach is within walking distance, however this isn't the section of beach you'd want to swim in. However some of the best maui beaches are within a 15 minute drive (southern Kihei/Wailea areas).
