My boyfriend and I booked this as a last minute memorial day getaway. We ended up being very thrilled with our stay! Location: The location was perfect, only a couple miles down the road from the state park and trailheads. It was great to come off a wet and exhausting hike and know we only had a short drive up the road to get back to the cabin. It's a short 15 min trip to the grocery store or coffee shop, but there are some general stores close by.Amenities: The amenities were great, we were an active user of the DVD player. We also found the binder very helpful. Our favorite part was the hot-tub. It was a perfect way to end the day, with the hot tub being nicely maintained and clean. It was rainy while we were there, so we did not make use of the communal fire pit, pool or sauna, but it was great to have the option! The only downside was the electric stovetop, which was very slow to heat up. Not a deal breaker, but just made cooking dinner a longer ordeal. The only recommendation I would have to the Chalets is to update the binder with a picture instructions for the fireplace. Comfort & Cleanliness: We rented one of the A-frames and were very happy with the comfort of the furniture, coziness and cleanliness of the space, and ease of entry into the cabin. Check in was simple and the beds were soft and clean. The best part was because it was rainy, the metal roof of the A-frame made the entire cabin sound like you were in a sound machine, which was incredibly relaxing.

Very good experience overall. Great cabin, very much immersed in nature and great to wake up to birds chirping in the window. Only reason I gave four stars on some items was because there were lots of unnecessary autogenerated emails. They said my rental agreement wasn't complete, but going into Vrbo, it was. I had to call to verify. These booking systems are overkill sometimes and are impersonal at best. Otherwise, we had a lovely time. You won't be disappointed.

We did enjoy the sauna as well as Hocking hills state park. The downside is that the location of the Aframe cabins are way back in the woods and no real walking the dog or with the kids given the main rd that takes you up to the aframes have no side walks or shoulder other than the ditch which i had to use for my dogs sake. It alao has no real restaurant within 10 miles. Given all this the cabins are beautiful just keep in mind there is no privacy between your neighbors and your hot tub.
