Nestled in Raystown Lake, this charming cottage for $129 per night is a great choice for your next break. This small country cottage is perfect for a couple or small family looking to escape to the Raystown Lake region. This one bedroom, three-quarter bath cottage is in close proximity to our other rental property making it convenient to join your extended family for a memorable getaway. The peaceful views of the ridges around Raystown from the back deck are a guest favorite. There is private access from the deck to the large backyard where guests can enjoy a picnic or a campfire with plenty of room to play fetch with your furry friends! The cottage is just three miles from the Seven Points recreation area that includes access to public boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, dining, camping, and biking on the Allegrippis Trails. While you are only a five minute drive from lake, you are just seven miles from the conveniences of 24-hour shopping and restaurants in the town of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, eight miles from the quaint campus of Juniata College, thirty-five miles from the excitement of Altoona Curve baseball and shopping at the Logan Valley Mall, and forty miles from Penn State University including Penn State football at Beaver Stadium and a wide variety of events at the Bryce Jordan Center. We do have another vacation rental on the property that is across the driveway. cozy cottage has a great view from the deck and lots of land to walk all around with my dog. Had what we needed to cook our meals. Had my coffee out on deck in morning and loved the peace & quiet and listening to nature. Not sure if owner is aware of the sofabed mattress...Its nothing but springs. No material or cushioning or padding....a new innerspring mattress for the sofabed would add value and more guests can sleep in real comfort. we enjoyed our time there.

The cottage was very clean and smelled amazing when we showed up. Check in was easy and quick. The view was absolutely gorgeous and we loved drinking our coffee on the balcony in the morning. 10/10, would stay there again.

Nice cottage, well taken care of. The sleeper sofa and recliner are in need of an upgrade. Cushions on both lost their support. We thought having screens in the front and back doors would have been a bonus, not being able to let fresh air through the place took away from enjoying the Fall air. Also going with one plug in air freshener would have sufficed. There were two plugged in and with no screens and being a smaller structure, the scent was overpowering and irritating to breath. Quiet and private, overall very pleased. Thank you to the hosts!

The cozy country cottage was just that - cozy. The accommodations are very basic, but very clean and the cabin's proximity to the Raystown area make it a great place to relax when you're not at the lake.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! I was super happy with the amenities. The cottage was clean, warm enough at night, cool enough during the day, and very comfortable and spacious for how small it looks from the outside! Also, the bed was super comfortable. Thanks so much!

Perfect size place for a few people. Absolutely beautiful location, short distance to town and short distance to Raystown. I have stayed in many rentals and this place was the cleanest place i have have ever stayed! Plus for those that have a hard time navigating steps. This is the place to stay, one step in and let the relaxation start on the back deck. Plus i came home with a few delicious apples from right there on their property. Yes i got permission! I will definitely be reserving this location again. PS bed was very comfortable. Thank you for such a pleasant stay!!!

This cottage was the perfect getaway for me and my fur babies. Has everything one would need for a long weekend. It was quite and peaceful. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck and lighting fire in the evening down below in the fire pit. Super close to the lake. Highly recommend!

The cabin was exactly as advertised — simple but clean. Check-in could not have been easier and happily there was no need to rush to the grocery store for the basics. The weather prevented us from spending time on the deck and backyard but the setting was beautiful and serene.

Quick Easter getaway for the wife, dog, and I. Close access to Alligrippis trails and quick run to Huntington for groceries! Bring binoculars, many birds to be seen off the deck in the woods below.

We were looking for a weekend retreat, somewhere peaceful and surrounded by nature. My spouse is recovering from cancer treatments, and I thought getting away would do him justice. Tim is such a gracious host, he responds promptly to our inquiries, and the cottage was exactly as it was described. The level of cleanliness was spectacular, and the kitchen was equipped with all the cooking tools and utensils. The cottage has excellent central air and heat that you can control. We are thankful to Tim and the Snare family for allowing us to stay at their property. They made us feel like family; he was so accommodating to even allowing us to check out hours later, so we did not feel rushed. We will recommend his property and will stay again in the future. If you want to get away from the city's daily hassle and bustle, this is your place. Thank you, The Soto Family

The place was relaxing and the host was amazing to let us to check in sooner than the time. The place was near a beautiful lake and was less than 10 minutes driving to the restaurant and stores. The view of the cottage was spectacular. The only problem which we had was the sofa bed and it was not comfortable. Also, there was not enough blankets for everyone. Overall, we had a great time there.

Perfect spot for 2 people to stay and ride at the Allegrippis Trails. Short drive to either trailhead. Washer and dryer a real plus for 3 days of riding. All Good.

Cottage was perfect for me to get away for a few days to do some mountain biking. Everything was clean and spotless. In fact it was one of the nicest and more updated rentals that I've been to. Owner was easy to contact and cottage had everything I needed. Views were nice, and the stars were incredible once the clouds cleared. For MTBers it is only 4-5 minutes to Bakers Hollow trailhead. I will definitely rent again unless I bring the family, in which case I would try their larger rental across the drive.

The location and ease of checking in/out of the property was great. However, we were disappointed in the lack of privacy and overall cleanliness. During our stay the property owners were hunting on the property as well as driving around with their ATV and dogs without any warning or communication to us. Initially the place smelled overwhelming like laundry detergent and when that faded, there was an unpleasant smell instead.

The cottage is very clean and comfortable with a nice view of the woods from the back and deck. My wife and I come for the lake and enjoy staying here. The owners are nice and do a great job in preparing us for the trip and with the check-in / check-out procedures.

Spent 3 days here. Nice and relaxing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because my wife and I found the bed to be a little on the uncomfortable side. We tossed and turned throughout the nights, but other than that, it was a very nice place.

We enjoyed our stay and so did my pup on her first vacation! Everything was very clean and plenty of towels. We were right in the middle of all the activities we wanted to do. The water pressure was a bit weak, if you're waking clothes. You can't take a shower. .It would be helpful if there was a light under the deck for when we are at the fire instead of climbing the steps to turn the deck light on and off.

Great communication with host, clean and welcoming space, and a private backyard with a large deck and firepit, all within just a few minutes to seven points beach and recreation area. We would love to visit again.
