Situated in Cape Girardeau, this attractive condo for $145 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The building is reminiscent of eighteenth-century New Orleans architecture and was built sometime before 1883. The apartment is on the second story and is always being updated with new and exciting improvements. The 'Kage House' is located at 120 Broadway in the heart of the Old Town Historical District on the corner of Broadway and Main Street and less than a 10 minutes' walk to the 'Century Casino'. On Main Street you will find many fine shops and restaurants, or just enjoy the scenic area as you walkabout. This is by far one of the best places in Cape to stay!! The bedroom is furnished with a new Stearns and Foster king size firm pillowtop mattress/bed and flat screen tv with viewing of the Mississippi River from the east window. The living room is furnished with a 'Lazy Boy' queen size sleeper sofa and a 65" flat screen tv. The apartment is fully equipped. Internet/wifi usage is included in the price of your stay. We are continually investing in the historical building. In October the kitchen counter tops were replaced with granite, the bedroom mattress was replaced with a very comfy firm pillowtop Stearns and Foster mattress, and the kitchen window was replaced with a Pella casement window which allows guests to open for fresh air if they wish. Extensive brick tuck pointing was completed in November on the exterior. Future interior renovations are planned. Directly across the street is a restaurant by the name of Minglewood. You can enjoy dining as well as a large selection of craft beers. Enjoy relaxing outside on the deck with a river view of the Mississippi and the historical Old Town Cape dynamic downtown area. You will most certainly enjoy your stay here in comfort and with a bit of history to boot. Keywords: Apartment

The Kage House is a beautifully appointed property right at the top of the old downtown. The property has more than you need because of the thoughtful owners. Everything downtown is easily walkable. Sitting on the deck watching the river traffic is a highlight!

We loved the Kage House! It was one of the best highlights of our weekend getaway. Just a perfect place to stay--within walking distance of great restaurants and cool shops. We loved it. We would definitely stay there again. Wonderful hosts!!

This property is amazing! Close to everything and so clean! The weather was cold for mid March so I’m looking forward to our next trip when we can utilize the awesome deck looking at the Mississippi River! We highly recommend!!!

Excellent stay at the Kage house. I was traveling alone travel RN and new to the area. I felt safe and had everything I needed. Keith was very helpful and made sure my stay was stress free! There was a snow storm the day I was checking out to drive back home. Keith arranged for me to have a late check out so I could get a nap (night shift nurse) and the roads were in good condition. 10/10 would recommend.

The Kage House is a very comfortable and well maintained property located steps away from great restaurants, upscale bars and shopping in the historical downtown area of Cape Girardeau. My daughter and I stayed there and were very comfortable and pleased with the location, property and area. Keith was great to work with in setting up our stay there, as well. We will most definitely be back!!

All good, except the thermostat was high tech and the average old person could not change the temperature to make the room comfortable.

We had a perfect stay here. The owners have made this property comfortable, pleasing and fun. The bed is comfy and the bedding is fluffy and white like a hotel. Fluff white towels in the bathroom and toiletries for guest use. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. They have spices, a junk drawer for incidentals and lots of coffee. The deck is awesome and the sun coming up over the Mississippi is special! This is a 10. I would stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful views of the river & so close to things to do. Loved going to the farmers market & so many other things to see & do there. We especially loved just sitting on the deck relaxing & just enjoying all the views. We will definitely stay here again when we’re back in the area!!

We really enjoyed the views, privacy,convenience,comfort, and location. Kitchen was well equipped. The Kage House is a very nice and unique property. We would definitely stay there again! One small bathroom was the only disappointment, the shower was very nice!

I have stayed at this property before, and it's always great. The location is great (near downtown and the Mississippi River), and the house is always clean and tidy. The snacks for guests (soft drinks, water, candy) are a great touch as well and much appreciated. The check-in process was smooth and it was just as easy checking out. Definitely recommend booking this house to anyone visiting Cape and looking for somewhere that isn't right off I-55.

Our trip over NYE weekend was absolutely amazing. The property was so close and convenient to everything, can't beat walking distance! The check in process was super easy, and the owner's were great to communicate with. Everything was super clean and cozy, with wonderful amenities that really made you feel like part of the family. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return trip!
