The area was very beautiful with the new fallen snow. Co do worked well for our family. There were several issues. The heating system did work properly and a space heater was provided. The fireplace was not working reliably. A service person came to get it started but it did not continue to work so we stopped trying to get it going. In general the unit could use some updating.

We stayed for a thanksgiving get together & everyone was extremely nice & accommodating. We spent most of our time at the pool & we enjoyed an amazing sunrise over the lake. The electrical & HVAC system need an overhaul. I’ve never seen so many useless thermostats- 2 ‘old Comfort Control’ dials in the kitchen (floor- baseboard vent finally produced heat after a couple hours), 2 newer Honeywell dials in the bathrooms that didn’t produce heat after 2 nights, only 1 bedroom produced heat, so we had to ghetto rig fans to blow air into the rooms from the space heater. Old dial in the living room- nope. That just drove us crazy with buzzing & whirling from a fan in the vent. Fireplace didn’t work either. Someone clearly knew things weren’t working, as there was a space heater next to the fireplace & the thermostat covers were messed with so many times that they didn’t want to stay on. Only 1 ceiling light in the whole condo. That light is on the same circuit as the microwave & half the living room that is powering the space heater, floor lamp & tv setup. When we blew the fuse, maintenance couldn’t be found. That would have been fine if we had a map to the electrical box that was hidden behind a wall covering in the kitchen. Being Thanksgiving, we didn’t expect renovations or anything to change our stay. I expected more for the price-point, as we had compared condos in the dells that we could have stayed in for $75 more. It was great to have a fully equipped kitchen to utilize for our feast. We only needed a couple items, like a mixer.

My family of 6 adults stayed here over labor day weekend. Pros are the location and proximity to the lake, being able to rent a boat at the resort (we rented a speed boat and tube for a half day), having a restaurant and bar at the location. Liked the hardwood floors throughout the condo and the price was reasonable. Cons are the small-ish size of the condo - the living space (kitchen and family room) was small for 6 people. Also, the condo is dated and needs some updates. Worst was the jack and jill bathroom shower, which had peeled paint coming off and felt very flimsy and cheap. Also, we found a pile of hair in the drain before we ever used it. Additionally, the linens were well-worn and the fitted sheet and a pillow were stained (see pics). You may want to bring your own sheets. The bed in one room squeaked every time you moved (probably needs new box spring?). Grills on site are charcoal only and charcoal/lighter fluid/lighter isn't provided. With some updates this could be a place I recommend.

Nice space, a pleasant location. Some lights and outlets not working.

We had a great time and everything was wonderful. The condo is clean and roomy and had everything we needed. The resort has many amenities and things to do for all ages. I was traveling with three girls between the ages of 11-16 and everyone was thrilled with all the things to do and the beautiful scenery. Colleen was very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed this place, and I hope we can come again!

The property and amenities met our expectations but the condo we rented had some deferred maintenance. More importantly we were somewhat disappointed with the cleanliness of the condo. We were very pleased with food and service at the restaurant and bar. Jenny and Jackie were two that had waited on us and were exceptional even when it was busy. Despite these issues we had an enjoyable stay.

Loved the dog and kid friendly atmosphere.

Everything is as described. It was 97 degrees for a couple of days and the pool was not crowded. Boat docking area served us well . Kitchen was well equipped. Overall very nice.

This property was perfect for our quick family weekend trip! The resort was a lot of fun and the condo was the perfect size for all six of us! We would definitely stay again. Colleen was timing with her responses as well and made booking easy. Highly recommend !

Condo unit was clean and well appointed. It’s on the 3rd floor of the condo building with views of the outdoor pool and a bit of the lake. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We had 4 adults and 5 kids, and with some of the kids in the floor in sleeping bags or on the pullout couch, there was plenty of room for sleeping. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay for the weekend! Owner had great communication and checking in and out was a breeze.

This property was perfect for the Birkie! Colleen was so flexible and communicated with us.

The condo had a lot of space, was clean, and loved how close it was to the outdoor pool and the lake. We had a great stay!

We loved the idea that each bedroom had a queen bed. We usually run into one of the rooms having bunks or twin beds. Also the two bathrooms were wonderful for 6 adults. The shower in the one bathroom could use some updating and the bed in the bedroom that faces the parking lot needs looking at. The resort was really nice but we didn't use any of it's amenities because we were busy riding around the area.

We always love coming to cable and staying at the condo. Always clean very easy to check in and very comfortable. Will definitely come back

The size of the unit was adequate for 4 adults and two children, 9 & 5yrs old. The back two bedrooms were great for the family of four as they shared their own bathroom. The unit needs a face lift and the hauling everything up the 21 steps was a bit taxing, but we made it. Colleen (owner) was great about staying in communication with me and answering all my questions. I think it was a bit over priced for the location of the unit (on the third floor) and the condition of it. If I wanted to come back to this area, I think I'd look for another dog friendly unit on the ground floor.

Lakewood’s was under construction, but the Chequamegon National Forest never disappoints.

Property was clean and has a nice veiw of lake and pool from the 3rd floor. The indoor pool and hot tub in an adjacent building was a nice plus.
