Purchased in October 2013, The Haven has undergone a total and continuous transformation and is now ready to delight and excite you. A PRIMO location, just 5 minutes walking distance from downtown restaurants, movies and shopping, 10 minutes walk to South Beach and Kids Korner, with features that include a: • Spacious open kitchen with quartz counters, appliances, bar seating, breakfast nook and sitting areas • Open living room / dining room with all new furnishings and a 51” HDTV • Four queen bedrooms (one with a twin sleeper sofa) that sleep up to 9 adults and a colorful bunk room that sleeps up to 8 young children. Downstairs Great Room w/51” HDTV viewing area and a Game & Gallery space, including a PlayStation 2014! • Three full baths, plus outdoor shower • Large laundry room with 2 washer / dryer sets and 2nd refrigerator • Spacious refinished deck with piped gas grill • New furnishings throughout the entire house • Gas fire pit, and more … The intent of the extensive renovation was to create an environment that we or you would view as a 'Home Away from Home', delivering a high level of comfort and class, and we have done just that! The little touches that delight are everywhere: the artwork, the iconoclastic design of each bedroom, the vibrant colors in the Bunk Room. And we aren’t done yet! We plan to continue to step it up, based on feedback that we get from you. The Haven's sweet spot is multi-generational families. We are very well suited for grandparents on the 1st floor, moms and dads on the 2nd floor and a bunch of kids in the Bunk Room. Easy access for the physically challenged: there is only one step up from the rear driveway to the expansive deck and rear entry door. We had a wonderful stay at the Haven. We had 13 people including 5 kids aged 8-15. There was plenty of room for everyone and the kids absolutely loved the bunk room! The outdoor patio table was used daily as was the side yard. The contents of the garage were extensive and we used nearly everything offered (bike, sand toys, beach towels, pool floaties, beach chairs, yard games, etc). We did have a couple issues arise but Carlton was quick to help us mitigate them. While that resulted in multiple repair people in and out of the home throughout the week, those people were always kind, quick, and helpful. Special shout out to Gibby who went above and beyond to make our stay just what we envisioned. It's a short walk to the beach and downtown. Would definitely stay again!

THe property was located in an ideal place. We walked to the beach, walked to view the fire works, and walked just one block to view the parade. We. We’re also able to walk to the shops and restaurants in town! THe house had 4 bedrooms, one for each couple, and the bunk room for the 6 grandchildren. The kitchen was stocked with many of the items needed for cooking. Overall, great place!!!

Perfect location!
My family and I spent a week in this beautiful home. We walked to downtown (literally 3 blocks away) and the beach (6 minute walk). When a problem arose, Carlton was quick to respond and very courteous. This house is big enough to host multiple generations. We had 2 sets of grandparents, my husband and I, and our 3 kids, and there was room for more!

Needed a place to stay for a guys fishing trip and the Haven was perfect. The house was plenty big for 8 adult men to sleep comfortably, great location with a nice deck and enough backyard to play bags. Highly recommend!

A week to remember
Our extended family has been coming to South Haven for several years but we needed a bigger house for our growing families. This house was just what we needed. The 2 refrigerators were a plus and the outdoor deck facilitated a lot of dining and socializing. The fire pit extended our late night conversations. The location was ideal for walking to beach and downtown. The decorating throughout the house was tastefully done. We all agreed that this is the best house we've stayed at and look forward to coming back.

Beautiful property inside and out!
This home has it all. Beautifully decorated home with plenty of space for all. The owner of this home has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped, two washers and two dryers, two refrigerators, comfortable beds, beautiful basement for kids and adults. The grandkids loved the upstairs bunk room. The adults loved the outside deck and fire pit area. Within easy walking distance to town and beach. Really cannot say enough good things about this home - "perfect" is the one word that comes to mind. The owner is great to work with as well. My family is already talking about a return visit next summer.

On July 31our entire family traveled from Texas...yes, I mean drove...to see what our son-in-law's home town, South Haven was all about. We were 8 adults and 7 children (ages 8 years old to 10 months). The house was more than we expected!! It was very clean and perfectly put together. The many different living spaces afforded everyone plenty of room to relax and/or play, whichever they wanted to do. The basement playroom was a lifesaver for the parents as well as grandparents!! When that young one wakes up way before everyone else, there was the basement to take him/her to without feeling like you were in a basement. The utility room, with 2 washers and 2 dryers, was exciting to say the least. No one had to wait his/her turn. We never asked the owner but we're pretty sure he must have a continuous water heater because even with our large group we never ran out of hot water...an absolute must for me!!! The towels were plentiful and upscale. This might not mean much to some people but I actually brought my own towels from my house just in case. I never unpacked mine!! The décor of the house was upbeat and bright. Adorable pictures throughout. It was pretty warm in South Haven while we were there...88 degrees for a high...but the air conditioners were perfect. The large deck with plenty of patio furniture was well used as well as the very nice size yard where the kids ran around and played. We used the gas grill nearly every night we were there. The house was perfectly situated between the town and the beach. It actually made the location much quieter than had you been closer to the beach or town. We walked everywhere we went without any problems. The restaurants in town the owner recommended were all good with a variety for everyone's tastes. We also took a day trip to Homestead Farms which is only about a 20 drive. Well worth it if you have kids!! If we were to ever return to South Haven we would most assuredly rent this location again!!

The attention to detail was amazing - the owners are great hosts. Carlton was right there when you needed anything. We felt very taken care of. The bunk room was perfect for our teenage girls - so much space. The front room/dining room was great to hang out at night when the bugs were out. The deck was so nice to sit outside and have dinner. We also loved how big the kitchen area was with the sitting area. With 20 people, we never felt like we were on top of each other. The location was perfect - we walked to town, and to the beach. Tons of beach chairs were a nice surprise! The garage was nice to put bikes and extra stuff. We will definitely be back!

The deck was wonderful for cooking out and just relaxing in the morning or after a day at the beach. The basement was also a great hangout for the kids and/or the adults when some downtime was needed. The storage shed in the back was great for storing our bikes and beach toys, and there were a ton of beach chairs there for our use. The location was perfect being a short walk or bike ride to the beach and to town. We had one clogged toilet while we were there, called the homeowner, and it was fixed within the hour! The communication with Carlton was wonderful from the beginning to the end of our transaction at The Haven. This home met all of our needs and I would stay there again without question and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an updated spacious home for their vacation in South Haven. We have stayed there in the past, and were amazed by the scope of the renovations, attention to detail, and cleanliness. The family friendly Haven is within walking distance to a host of activities, shopping, restaurants, and a wonderful beach, with magnificent sunsets. This property has been transformed into the ultimate vacation home. The newly renovated home has every imaginable amenity. The attention to detail from the overall design to the kitchen, deck, living room and bedrooms will make your stay comfortable and luxurious. I stayed in this home prior to the renovation and when I returned, I walked into a vacation heaven - the place was unrecognizable. If you're looking for the best of the best, look no further. Upscale, cozy, & convenient
My husband and I stayed at The Haven a couple weeks ago with 2 other couples. We were pleased with the privacy it affords, while providing ample space for gatherings. Fantastic restaurants and great shopping nearby! Oh yes, there's a lovely beach, too. :)
