About this house rental

Situated in Hickory Run State Park, this lovely house for $900 per night is a great option for your next vacation. One of the nicest rentals directly on the waterfront with private dock. We often use the house on many weekends during the summers . So we don't often book full weeks and just weekend requests in the summer are limited . We generally run weekly rentals Friday-Friday , which has tended to suit our schedule. This is our second home and not a full time rental. If you have any specific questions, please ask. We want to make things as seamless as possible. . Plus taxes and cleaning . Some flexibility possible. $185 cleaning . Custom built Log Home!! House has approximately 3700 Square feet. Stainless steel appliance and custom kitchen. Nothing else like it on the lake! This is truly a unique home! House includes two family rooms. WIFI is available to stream content on the smart TVs. Upper family room includes gas fireplace and rustic beams that add to the homes decor. Custom maple kitchen provides plenty of prep area and bar stool seating for entertainment and discussion. Full dining area adjoins the wide open kitchen space and has a direct view of the lake. The lower level consist of a bedroom which includes a Queen bed with four additional bunk beds built into the wall. A full oversize bathroom includes shower and a full size washer and dryer. A downstairs prep area with sink, microwave and small beverage refrigerator. Foosball and card table for entertainment pleasure. The lower level family room includes a sectional with a pull out full bed and a love seat with a single pullout bed. Sliding doors lead directly to the second level patio bar area for beautiful views of the lake. The third level consists of a large master bedroom and bathroom that includes Queen size bed with plenty of additional floor space for additional sleeping area if needed and double sinks in the bathroom. A loft area with an additional pullout sofa full sofa bed with direct views of the lake.

Awesome house on the lake for a group of 13. There was some confusion last minute because linens aren't included with the rental and it wasn't clear to me until the day-of, but Duncan and Laura helped resolve the issue right away and we had a great stay. Would definitely stay again or recommend for any group looking for a large house to stay together.

This is a beautiful house in a perfect location. All the spaces were very clean, and the interior wood design and views of the lake were gorgeous. A group of 12 of us stayed here for the holiday weekend to celebrate a birthday. There was plenty of room to accommodate everyone—we made regular use of the communal areas to cook, play games, and just hang out together. Having the 3 full bathroom was especially useful. The property owners were very easy to communicate with and dedicated to making sure we had a good stay. Would love to stay here again!

Pictures do not so this property justice. The VIEWS are amazing. Directly on the lake. House was clean and had all the "little things" you need for an amazing vacation. Plenty of room for a large family. Enjoyed the fire pit lake side, the beautiful fireplace in the family room, and the warm and rustic log cabin decor throughout the house. Owners were wonderful to work with! Absolutely would stay here again!!

We enjoyed our extremely short stay (wish we could have stayed longer). We visited with family and the kids really enjoyed themselves! One of my children even managed to catch 5 fish in one day off the dock! It was such a well needed break from the city life and so relaxing. Duncan and Laura were very communicative the entire time from the moment we booked and even after we checked out. We didn't need to reach out since we were outside for most of our trip fishing and Kayaking, but even with them being away, they made sure to check in. We would gladly go again. The place was extremely comfortable for our group of 13.

Our thanks to Duncan and Laura for sharing their spacious summer home for our family’s vacation. Everyone enjoyed the lake access with two kayaks, several water tubes and two stand up paddle boards. Our favorite game of pinochle was also a hit. We hope to rent again next Summer.

We stayed at this house for a golf weekend with 12 friends. The house is in great shape and the back decks make the atmosphere that much better. Duncan and Laura we extremely easy to work with and I would recommend this place to anyone.

We spent our Spring Break at this wonderful home. The house was very easy to get to and sits right on the lake. It was very clean and well laid out to enjoy both the indoors and the outdoors. The house was very well equipped in the kitchen and we did lots of cooking and baking. There were lots of fun games to play with the kids. And we all enjoyed sitting by the lake and took advantage of all three seating areas outside. The home owners provided a ton of information about the house and checked in before we got there and at arrival to ensure we had everything we needed for a wonderful week. Highly recommend!

I will echo what so many other reviews have said, the pictures do not do this property justice. The house was immaculate upon our arrival and very well stocked. The location to JFBB and bars/restaurants is great! I was most impressed with the communication from the owners. They reached out to me via text almost immediately and every time I had a question it was answered within a few minutes. I would give a 6th star for communication if I could. They truly cared that my family had a wonderful experience at their house. And we did. Thank you so much!

Good overall experience. We had a guys weekend and had 13 of us stay at the house. The house is situated on the lake which provided great views. We were stuck inside due to some snow but the main floor had plenty of space for us to play games, watch tv and hang out. We used the snow to our advantage and did some skiing at nearby Big Boulder (5 minute car ride). Also went to the local bar one evening (2 minute car ride). The host communicated very well and checked several times how the stay was going. He even recommended some local attractions to check out. We had a great time and the house is unique and I would definitely recommend.

We stayed here with several families for a New Year’s Eve weekend. This house is the perfect location for skiing, close to restaurants, gorgeous view on the lake. The house is a perfect set up for multiple families with children. Would love to come back and stay in the summer to enjoy the lake. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Our family and our son’s friends came down for a vacation before my son’s first year in college. The home is incredible with a great kitchen, open floor plan, and space for everyone. The views are spectacular and the area is a ton of fun. The hosts are fantastic and really responsive. We had a great time and will stay here again on our next trip to Lake Harmony. Highly recommend!

Wonderful property that is larger than the pictures show, the house has everything you would need for a great weekend. On top of that the outdoor decks and dock give you plenty of space to relax. Location is great too, close to golf and a nice park. Highly recommended!

A group of 11 adults stayed at this property and Duncan and Laura were great hosts! Their house has so much room, great location and very clean! I would recommend this house 100%. Check-in/check-out process was easy. We stayed for a long weekend and it was relaxing. We went skiing about 25 mins from the house at camelback, great location and easy to get to other places while also feeling like you're not around too much, which was nice! Thank you for having us!

The cabin was great, very comfortable, well appointed and had everything we needed. We had one minor issue and Duncan had that handled the same day! Communication was great and they went out of their way to help us with entertainment and food options during Covid. They were great and the place was great. I highly recommend this cabin!

What an amazing long weekend celebrating my husbands 50th bday! We had 4 kids and 4 adults and we had more space than needed but we appreciated being able to all spread out. The house, the location and the view were incredible! Will definitely visit again. Hosts were easy to communicate with. The house alone is something to see!

A large and well appointed cabin right on the lake - what more can you ask for? Even though the weather was not great the weekend we were there, it was just as enjoyable to hang out inside this beautiful home. Duncan and Laura could not have been more wonderful - so responsive and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. We would definitely return!
