Havre de paix à Fort de France

Accueil très chaleureux et très sympathique. Disponibilité et gentillesse de l’hôte. On y est comme à la maison. Cadre magnifique, verdoyant et joliment décoré. Dîner et petit déjeuner très copieux. Tous les ingrédients sont réunis pour un séjour paisible !

It was a lovely "home away from home" feel at Havre de Paix, exactly as described (if not even better). - Fabrice and his German partner were lovely hosts and gave me plenty of tips what to do and helped me getting out most of my stay on Martinique island, providing me with guides to read in French and English - I really liked both my room and the wonderful terrace where I had my breakfast in the morning and the (optional) dinner in the evening. The swimming pool was wonderful to cool down after a day out in the heat! And the cute colibris coming regularly to sip the sugar syrup were truly the main attraction for me! - the location is perfect in a quiet neighbourhood with nothing than forest as neighbours to the backside of the house, easily accessible from downtown Fort-de-France by bus or by rental car. I particularly liked to go asleep and wake up with the sounds of the nature / jungle - I found it very convenient to rent my car directly with Fabrice, the host, in my case a Dacia Duster which served well the purpose of exploring Martinique island. The car rental with Fabrice was very professional and easy! - Fabrice also offers pick-ups / drop offs at the airport or in town / at the harbour for a fair amount in case you need it. - I decided to try the dinner Fabrice offers for 22 EUR on the first evening and I also ordered it for the following nights, he cooks wonderfully!
