Situated in Swannanoa, this attractive cottage for $147 per night is a great option for your next trip. Please THOROUGHLY read all of the property description to ensure this property will meet your needs BEFORE booking. WE TAKE CLEANING AND SANITZING OUR RENTAL VERY SERIOUSLY. WE ALWAYS USE LYSOL AND WIPE EVERYTHING DOWN. THIS IS A NORMAL CLEANING ROUTINE FOR US. WE ARE MAKING SURE EVERYTHING SUCH AS DOORKNOBS, TV REMOTES, LIGHT SWITCHES, ETC. ARE BEING SANITIZED LIKE NORMAL AS WELL. This Property is one of a kind. Breathtaking Mountain View inside and outside the rental. This listing is owned and managed by a family. This is not a large company rental. It has a peaceful setting in the Blue Ridge Mountains with privacy and beautiful long-range view. Private, in the mountain woods, yet close to everything Asheville has to offer including Downtown Asheville, Biltmore House and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Main Floor has a full working kitchen and a table for two. There are 2 bar stools on the kitchen island, and 2 other kitchen chairs to bring into the kitchen if need be. Kitchen includes, Stove, Dishwasher, Microwave, Fridge, Sink, toaster, electric kettle, Coffee pot (12-cup), and kcup machine. We also provide Dish soap, dishwashing pods, Hand soap, Kitchen towels, Paper Towels, Coffee Filters, and napkins. The living room is right when you come into the front door. The mountain views from the living room are breathtaking. Living room has a couch, a recliner and a chair. There is a Tv set up in the living room with cable. Working gas fireplace. Turned on early/late fall, winter, into early spring. The Hall bath is a full bathroom. With a shower/tub. It is on the main living area. The Master Bedroom is on the main living area. It has a King size bed (we provide linens) and a tv with cable. The Master Bathroom is a full bathroom, with a shower. We will provide towels and washcloths for each guest. Also, will provide enough toilet paper for a few days. The 2nd floor is a sleeping loft: A spiral staircase will take you to this level. Make sure you can climb stairs. Up in the loft is a large area with a queen, and 2 twin beds. A TV is also in the loft with cable. Entrance to the rental: *Please notice in the pictures the stairs leading up to the rental. * Make sure you can climb stairs before booking. DOGS: We love dogs but have some guidelines. BEFORE BOOKING please check with us and give us a description of your dogs (type, size, age, temperament, house trained, etc.) There is a pet fee for each dog. Please get approval before booking if you are trying to bring dogs. *Extra Guests- The number of guests on your reservation is the number of guests allowed at the rental at any time. If your number of guests doesn't exceed 5 and you have a last-minute guest joining you, or you will be having friends or family come over to visit, please notify us for approval. *We price our rental to make it affordable for a single couple, even though it will sleep up to five people. After 2 guests we charge a fee for each guest for each night. No more than 5 guests are allowed at the rental at any time. No PARTIES at the rental. We expect everyone to respect our rental. There are 3 TVs with cable. And unlimited WIFI. If you need to work from home this rental may NOT be the best for you. Internet works well but can be slow due to being in the mountains and in the woods. Outside we have a fire pit. You will need to provide your own wood. There is an electric grill only at the rental. If you use it, you are responsible for cleaning it. By the parking we have an outdoor camera. Here are some things that make this rental unique and special. The inside is vaulted with one bedroom on the main floor, and spiral staircase leading to a large loft area. There is nearly 1,000 square feet of living area with mountain views from the large living room window. The interior is beautiful yet designed for comfort. This rental contains all hickory hardwood flooring, tiled baths, concrete kitchen counter tops and wood trim throughout that has been cut and used from the property. The landscaping was designed to sustain the natural wildlife in the area. The area has a complete assortment of wildlife such as black bears, wild turkeys and a variety of birds. Very cozy and warm with amazing views of mountains. Close drive to get coffees, breakfast, groceries and downtown. A little longer drive for the cool hikes, and they were worth it. We brought our dog with us and the owner's rules were reasonable and easy to follow. We loved how dog friendly Asheville is. This place gets 10/10

The view is amazing and the house has windows to enjoy it. The apartment was spacious and clean and had nice modern furnishings in the kitchen. TV is nice and all the rooms have one with Dish included. The location was right next to town and made it easy to enjoy the mountains as well as Asheville. We will be staying here again!

Enjoyed our stay here. The location is great as it is only 10 mins from downtown Asheville and about 15 to Black Mountain. The view is excellent and the house was easy to find. However there are a few items to note.
*It says you do not need a 4 wheel drive car, you technically do not but there are some major huge holes everywhere on the drive up. Also the driveway is very tricky for multiple cars. We have a Chevy and a Ford F150. They have a few trees blocking the driveway so you really have to park the cars just right. There was not much room for the truck at all. I would suggest to just cut down the 2 trees in the middle of the driveway to make it more open for cars to fit.
*The washer and dryer on site are rusting. Did not use because they were covered in rust. Maybe they worked fine but they 100% looked rough.
We did see some wildlife at the house! Turkeys, a huge bear and lots of bunnies.

This open-plan house feels relaxing from the moment you step in, and the feeling grows as you notice the attention to the details by the owners. It was super clean, well-stocked with cooking needs, had an amazing view, and all the linens felt fresh. The woodsy location felt safe for kids and for evening dog walking. Perhaps it was only my luck, but I also had blue skies every day, even though other parts of Asheville had clouds. Highly recommend!

This was a great property with a wonderful view. It had all the amenities of home inside and was as described. It's a ways up the mountain but a close (15-20 min) drive to main attractions such as the Biltmore and downtown areas. Core things like grocery store, fast food and a couple restaurants were close. Dish TV helped occupy our time the few evenings we were in the house. The 2nd big bedroom was up circular stairs and no bathroom up, so just be aware of how agile the people are that will be up in that BR. IT wasn't a problem for us. Host was very responsive to any questions we had.

We had such a nice stay at Robert and Lindsay’s property. Lindsay was very communicative and easy going. We wanted to stay in a remote place close to downtown Asheville and this was perfect for that. The house was spacious enough for my husband and me and we could’ve fit our 2 teenagers if we brought them. We had all of the amenities needed (minus toiletries) and a view like no other! It was GORGEOUS out there in the woods! We were 15 minutes from amazing restaurants downtown, 15-30 minutes from several hikes, and close enough to the Biltmore. I wish we had more time! I would recommend this house and any of their other properties.

Family of 4 adults enjoyed the stay at this very clean and comfortable property. All amenities worked as advertised, great communication by the host throughout the stay as well as prior to traveling. Easy check in process and beds were comfortable. Recommend letting AC get a head start on cooling the loft several hours ahead of bed time and run the overhead ceiling fans. We enjoyed our stay and also enjoyed a really cool bear sighting on the road up to the house!

This is a great property. We had no problems finding it, but it is far enough off the beaten path that you really feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle of town. However, when you need groceries, restaurant options, etc., they are right down the road. The house was very clean (noticeably cleaner than the last few homes/hotels we have stayed in) and was supplied with everything we needed for our weekend stay. Bed in the master was very comfortable. My family was particularly disappointed that we did have any bear visitors during our stay, but we have a dog and that may be why they steered clear of us. We did have a bunny that liked to graze in the backyard. This was a lovely house and we would definitely stay again!
