About this house rental
Located in Julian, this attractive house for $193 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Tucked in the trees just one mile East of the Historic town site of Julian, California sits An Eagle in the Pines Cabin, your private mountain home, perfectly situated on a corner property that adds to the privacy and comfort of the home! Located at 4200 feet in elevation, this home is a fabulous vacation retreat any time of the year! The rates for our Cabin start at $225/night for two guests, each additional guest is charged $25/night on top of the rack rate. An Eagle in the Pines Cabin is a warm and comfortable home with high end furnishings and appliances including granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, a gas fireplace that warms the home throughout, extra comfortable furnishings in the living room, a Flat Screen DirecTV with DVD Player, and stereo in the open living room. A Loft on the second floor of the home offers a love seat and tv/vcr combination, a perfect place to tuck away with books, movies and to play games. This warm and cozy retreat has all the comforts you could hope for, two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a Full Modern Kitchen and a wonderful comfortable feel throughout. Jetted tubs and tile bathrooms are an added benefit to the home and your stay! The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking needs, utensils, and dishware and all appliances including microwave, toaster, and coffee maker with fresh ground coffee are provided in the home for you. Hot chocolate and popcorn are stocked for your enjoyment as well! Two fabulous bedrooms are furnished with high quality beds, soft linens, and gorgeous décor. The Master Bedroom on the second floor has a King Bed, High Vaulted Ceilings, Cherrywood furniture, and Oak trees outside all windows. The guestroom on the first floor of the home has a queen bed, country furnishings, and French doors that lead to a patio deck on the rear of the home. Both bathrooms are newly remodeled and equipped with jetted tubs. The bathroom on the first floor of the home has a large Jacuzzi tub and shower combination and is surrounded in tile and rock work. The Upstairs Bathroom also has a small corner tub with Shower fixture as well. The back patio is another private and wonderful place to enjoy! Quiet and peaceful, a great place to just be. Pets (2 Maximum) are warmly welcome at An Eagle in the Pines Cabin upon agreement to the Terms & Conditions for having your pet stay with you in the home. It is a privilege to share the home and property with your pets. However, you are 100% responsible for the safety of your pet and the care and maintenance of the home and property while you stay. Although there is a small fenced dog run, the remainder of the property is not fenced so we ask that you be extra careful with your pets while you stay! ($50 Pet Fee/pet for the stay) This home and corner property offers extra privacy and seclusion for that needed escape from the hustle and bustle life tends to offer! An Eagle in the Pines Cabin is a great home for a couple to escape to, and is a perfect getaway for two couples and/or families to enjoy as well. We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. This place is cozy, peaceful and everything we needed. We were in town for a wedding and it was a great retreat to return to. Our 2 dogs loved exploring the property as much as we did! The place was very clean, and we haven’t slept so good in awhile! A great cabin, a memorable wedding and the best pies in Cali! Thank you to the owners for allowing us to enjoy their cabin “Eagle in the Pines”.

MY family and I traveled to from south Orange County CA to Julian to spend some time in the snow. The house was cozy, clean and in a lovely, quiet location. We were advised to travel in a 4wd vehicle and to bring chains and a shovel. What we didn't understand was the steepness of the driveway and the challenge of getting up a snow covered drive. It would have been no problem if one of our group was not handicapped. So, with the help of a kindly neighbor, my brother, the neighbor and I shoveled snow for more time than it took to get to Julian. Fortunately, we were finally able to traverse the driveway and start our lovely weekend. Beautiful in the snow...just be very prepared!

My husband and I were looking for the perfect cabin to celebrate my birthday and get away from the day-to-day busyness of life. We found it! This cabin was in a great location, close to the main town, yet comfortably secluded. It was stocked with all the desired comforts, including games we hadn't played before (one of which has now become a favorite!) The King mattress was luxurious, the rooms well heated by the gas fireplace, and a little bit of Christmas with a lighted tree was the icing on the cake for me. :) Jim and Julie were kind and helpful hosts, making sure lights were on and the cabin heated prior to our arrival. Thank you so much everything!

Wonderful neighborhood for walking our dog - views of sunset and peek at the Salton Sea. My husband appreciated having the NFL package on TV. We also brought old VHS tapes and played them and had a good laugh. Really enjoyed the fall leaves and the fireplace. And the Julian PIES

Perfect location and great house for a short trip - or any length trip - to Julian. Everything we needed, and a very short ride to town. Would definitely stay there again.

The setting for this cabin was exactly what we were looking for in the country near the small town of Julian. The notebook left by Jim and Julie were much appreciated as a guide to an array of activities and services. There was plenty to do, hikes in the neighborhood or short drives away to suggested parks and preserves and places of interest like the Warlock mine, San Ysabelle preserve visiting center, bird watching, shops in town, like the California Wolf Center, bakeries, restaurants for in house eating or food to go.
And then there was relaxing inside this peaceful cabin decorated in soft earth tones and comfortable furniture with all the amenities of home. We enjoyed sitting on the screen covered porch watching and listening to nature around us.
Jim and Julie were welcoming with a text letting us know when the cabin was ready and a card on the coffee table. We were delighted to learn that recycling was available and especially appreciative that it was convenient by just putting recyclables in a can on the way out.

This property is well maintained, very comfortable and in a quiet area, just right for my wife. me and our little mini-Aussie Maggie Mae. She enjoyed the getaway as much as we did. This place has all the comforts of home, with all the relaxation of country living. It is only a short 5-10 minute drive from downtown Julian. Lots of opportunities for hiking, sitting on a bench enjoying pie and ice cream, visiting the lake and just sitting on the porch listening to the birds. We didn't even mind the owl at 5:00 a.m.! Perfect getaway and we hope to return in the fall.

Exceeded expectations!
Julie and Jim’s cabin in Julian was a wonderful place to stay for our family and dogs…a true retreat. A fresh bowl of water, dog towels and treats were there when we arrived. The cabin is stocked with everything you need, but without the clutter. This was the cleanest Vrbo we’ve ever stayed in. The beds were super comfortable with plenty of extra blankets. We were there for New Years Eve and it was cold. The fireplace and wall heaters all worked very well and kept the cabin cozy. Our kids enjoyed the games and staying upstairs in the loft area. Our dogs loves the fenced in area and taking walks in the neighborhood where we saw deer. I would definitely recommend this cabin. Julie and Jim communicated very well and seem to be pros at making sure their guests are 100% comfortable. Thank you for this relaxing getaway for our family. It was the perfect place to welcome in 2022!

Great First Impression
This was our first visit to Julian and the comfort, cleanliness, and location of this property made it so much more enjoyable. The owners are very responsive and informative. We were able to explore the neighborhood with a recommendation for a hike around the beautiful properties in the local area. The home is convenient to Lake Cuyamaca, downtown and the surrounding areas that make Julian so charming and beautiful. My favorite part of the stay was coming back after a hike to a welcoming spa tub for a relaxing soak. Ready for stargazing? Look up at the sky from the comfort of the front balcony. It’s impossible not to be impressed by the heavens! I heartily recommend this property.

This little cabin in the woods was just perfect. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The fenced in dog run was a huge plus. Julie was easy to communicate with and was very fast in responding. We will definitely be back next year!!!

Cozy cabin feel, perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. Great hosts! The house is thoughtfully equipped with travelers in mind - restaurant menus, ground coffee, cookware, hairdryer, etc. They provided dog towels and a dog biscuit too! Julie dropped by to turn on the porch lights for our late arrival.

This was the second time we have stayed in Julie’s home and it was once again fantastic! This home is so close to town and to Jess Martin park which our dog loved running around in the big dog park. We highly recommend this home if you are planning a stay in Julian,!!
