Secluded in the beautiful and historic Upper Canyon area with great mountain charm, Relaxation Station is the perfect home base during your Ruidoso vacation. Featuring three-bedrooms and a large loft area. One bedroom has a King while the second has a Queen. The third guest bedroom accommodates two twin beds and the loft room has enough space for two twin and two double beds. Additional sleeping is provided by a futon bed.This home also features four full bathrooms. Sleeping is spacious and can accommodate fourteen guests. You and your guests will love utilizing both the upper front and lower back decks, free WiFi, washer and dryer, window a/c units upstairs ONLY, as well as enjoying the privacy at Relaxation Station. This beautiful and sweet cabin offers everything you and guests will need during your mountain vacation. When you enter this home, you will notice the main living area and beautiful log burning fireplace, providing an abundance natural charm. You will love the open concept with the main living area and kitchen easily flowing into each other. In the living room, a large couch is available to provide the perfect spot for you and your guests to kick back and relax after a day full of adventures! The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, stove top with oven as well as cooking and eating utensils to cook up some delicious meals during your stay at Relaxation Station. The open concept allows you to enjoy your guests while cooking and taking care of the dishes. A large bar top is located in the kitchen to provide additional counter space and seating. If you want to enjoy the fresh mountain air, take a step out on the front or back deck. On a spacious over-sized lot you will experience full privacy and will love starting your day out here with a warm cup of coffee. There is a table and chairs located on the patio for your enjoyment. Fire up the gas grill and make your dinner outdoors! Enjoy the privacy while enjoying the whisper of the pines and the gurgling song of the river. Relaxation Station is your mountain oasis. Ruidoso is an alpine mountain community. Expect twisty roads with steep grades. The weather is unpredictable and changes quickly. Elevation can vary between 6000’ to almost 12,000’. Most homes are multi-level with stairs on inclined lots. Expect wildlife to hinder traffic flow. Do not be surprised if the power goes out or when you lose internet or cell phone connection. This is the mountains, and it happens. We encourage guests be prepared with access to chains or 4-wheel drive in winter months for all our properties. This is not the big city. Life is easier and slower paced and more wonderful. This is why we come and why we stay. Relax and enjoy your time in paradise.

The property management and instructions were very helpful and precise. The space of the cabin was great, according to the expectations they described. Some furniture has damage considering is old, they can improved that. Location is good, take 5-10 minutes to move around town with no difficulties even if it is snowed.

The place is nice, overall, but, the owner needs to make some updates. For example, the middle guest bedroom on the kitchen level needs a new sink asap, among other updates. More supplies would have been nice, like paper towels and tp. Many blinds were broken. The CATV could have had more than 3 working channels, lol. And I'm not sure why there are ancient Phillips HDTVs, with ancient app technology interfaces. There are much better TVs, like TCL, for less than $400. Just saying. On a positive note, the hot tub was very nice, and the WiFi was a lifesaver since there was only 1 bar of AT&T cell signal. We had to use WiFi calling to make calls. All in all, it was a nice place and in a good location. 5 minutes to Sudderth St, and 40 minutes to Ski Apache!!

It was what we expected. But, neighbors left trash all over adjacent property. We spent some time picking up trash that had blown onto rental property because there are plenty of reminders to use dumpsters to avoid cleaning fees. There were dirty dishes in dish washer, not a big deal. Kids worked on living room tv for hours, never got it working, but it kept them busy! We ended up playing card games...even better.

Hot tub was dirty upon arrival, my parents didn’t feel like they needed to bother anyone so they just didn’t use it and are now getting charged for something the previous renters damaged. Some of the beds were broken as well.

Disappointed in the accommodation. The name of the property is called “Relaxation Station”. Most furnishings were old. The drawer in master was falling apart. Both TV’s didn’t work. Fireplace didn’t work. Skip this one. Destiny Properties has much better choices to choose from. The office at Destiny Properties was very responsive and timely when we called about issues and our deposit refund. But the owners of Relaxation Station should update furnishings and buy a couple of Smart TV’s.

We arrived right at check-in time for a three night stay. We walked into a very dated, dirty house with TERRIBLE mattresses. We continued to find things all weekend. Broken furniture, broken window blinds, trash under the beds, TVs that don’t work. They only provide 1 extra trash bag and 4 (half used) rolls of toilet paper for a house intended for 14 people (our group had 11). All of the mattress were so hard they were almost unsleepable. Imagine going skiing/snowboarding and coming back to a rock to sleep on. It wasn’t all bad—- the one TV that worked was nice for Netflix and the couch was comfy. The (very dated) appliances all worked (be prepared to dry a load of clothes at least twice). The hot tub was wonderful after a day of skiing.
A few things I think the owners should consider- new mattress, an additional dining table as it only seats 6, a TV in the upstairs bedroom, a better cleaning company, the TV fixed in the dining room, a bundle of fire wood, a fire pit for outdoor use.
I would not recommend.

This place was nice, sooo much room for everyone, and extra space if needed! The hot tub was perfect After a long day of exploring. The view was beautiful and lots of deer came up close to the porch. It was a fun weekend for everyone.

We had a group of ladies stay here while we attended a conference. It was the perfect place to unwind and spend a quiet few hours between sessions relaxing on the back porch. The wildlife all around was a wonderful addition. With a lot of women staying, having 4 clean bathrooms to get ready was priceless! Such a great place!

Wildlife come up onto the property, so be careful with the little ones getting too close! The scenery is beautiful. The cabin was comfortable. The hot tub was clean. There were several dirty dishes that had been placed into the cabinets possibly by previous guests and the tv remotes had dead batteries so we were unable to use the tv for the kids…. But other than that our experience was great and we would stay again. Definitely bring laundry detergent as it was the only product not provided.

First off, the address given in packet was wrong… the house is a ways further up the road than where gps took us.. the sign on the property was tiny and hidden behind the dumpsters… spent a long time trying to find the house in the dark… tried calling the office number and after hours numbers provided and nobody ever answered or called back. The after hours number went directly to voicemail.. didn’t ring at all! Could not get ahold of them at all!!! The name of the house listed “Relaxation station” was nowhere to be found out in front of the house. The sign posted outside said “Little Bear Cabin”…. The house had an older weird smell.. it is a little out dated on one side and upstairs. The other side was nice but the master bathroom shower was gross! Felt dirty and grimy…we had to do some cleaning before showering. There was a razor cover and an open bottle of shampoo in the shower as well. The hot tub was not working and looked like it hadn’t been working for a while.. the tv in the dining room also did not work. The patio furniture in the front was absolutely terrible! Couldn’t sit on most of the furniture at all. For some reason there were instructions on the air conditioning but there is not air conditioning in the house. The house isn’t terrible. We were very disappointed in the help of the property managers with wrong information given and not answering or returning calls!

Great Potential - Needs Some Work
The layout of the house was great with lots of sleeping options. We really enjoyed the area and were able to see wildlife each morning (Deer, Elk, Turkeys, Squirrels, Birds). A couple of our party even got to see a bear cross the road while walking one morning. The communication with the management team was good and no issues there. There were, however, quite a few things that could be improved that would have taken our review from a 3 star to 5 star:
1. The Air Conditioner didn't work and the house got really hot as it was 90+ degrees each day we were there. The nights and mornings were tolerable, but we couldn't stay in the house during the day.
2. The hot tub was broken and unusable, which was one of the primary reasons we booked this location. The kids were disappointed in that.
3. We enjoyed sitting on the patio each morning, but the furniture could definitely use some updating. The deck also needs to be refinished as there are some nails sticking up in places.
4. The cabin in general could use some deep cleaning. Especially the master shower.
5. Like others have mentioned, the location of the cabin listing is much further from where the cabin is actually located. It shows as right by downtown, but is nowhere close to that. This was not a negative thing for us, but I could see where that would frustrate some people.
6. The TV volume did not work.

We found out, a week from leaving, that’s the rental property was NO WHERE near where it was listed on VRBO. It was 2 miles outside of town, with no ability to walk to shops or food. Once there, the blinds were all broken, the back door didn’t lock, AND the hot tub needed parts so it wasn’t working. We went to turn on the TV, and the sound didn’t work their either. (Thank goodness we had brought our own Roku stick because that was the only thing there was to do. All of this sounds terrible, but it got worse. As we all got ready for bed, the downstairs bathroom with the queen bed had been leaking for a while. (We didn’t notice when we got there as we were all wearing shoes and the leak didn’t show through the carpet in the bathroom.)We had closed the windows when the rains came, so the entire bedroom and bathroom smelled like cat urine. Completely disgusting, and unable to sleep with the smell, the couple staying in that room was resigned to sleep on the living room couches. When we woke to use the grill the next day, it was disgustingly dirty and took 2 hours to fix. The rental property managers did not come to help with ANY of the issues. In fact, they never answered any of our inquiries about getting help with any of it. (My husband worked in construction during his younger days. We aren’t novices to taking care of a home. We just didn’t anticipate having to do that every day while on vacation.)I have left 3 messages requesting a partial refund, and the property management group has not responded AT ALL to any of them. We stay at VRBO’s at least once a month. This experience may change all of that. It was, by far, the worst place we have ever stayed. (And despite my showing the company that their location ping for the rental is 2 miles from the rental, they STILL haven’t changed it. They STILL show the cabin a short block from town. They aren’t concerned at all about the lie about the lo
