Situated in Lexington, this attractive house for $404 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This well-appointed renovated historic one level brick cottage & carriage house was built in 1890. There are 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms that sleep a total of 8 (eight) guests. Three bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms in the main house allow for six guests to spread out comfortably in 2700 square feet of living space, modern kitchen, and formal dining space. There is an additional Carriage House adjacent to the private patio area that includes a 750 square foot luxury suite with bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and laundry area. These are ideal accommodations for a group of friends traveling together, families, or business traveler. You will feel comfortable and right at home when you step inside The Magnolia's beautiful restored interior featuring beautiful old polished wide plank ash/pine floors, soaring ceilings, gourmet open-concept kitchen, new master bath with heated marble floors, huge walk-in steam shower, amazing and light filled spacious great room with fabulous over-sized mantle and fireplace, and a wall of French doors to the back patio. The home is furnished with items collected by the owner from his travels overseas as well as from local antique markets. All the modern amenities have been added for your comfort whilst maintaining the homes historic character and charm. This property is designed for visiting, relaxing, and entertaining. The Magnolia has everything you will need for a comfortable stay including free Wi-Fi access, flat screen televisions (main living area and in each bedroom), central heating and air, a fully appointed kitchen, hair driers, and 2 full laundry areas with irons and ironing boards. One of the key features of this property besides its comfort and amenities is its location. It is a leisurely stroll to restaurants, bars, shops, art galleries, Woodland Park (swimming pool, children’s playground, skate park, tennis courts, and basketball courts), and historical landmarks like the Ashland Estate. A short drive will get you to Keeneland, the Bourbon Trail, the Brewgrass Trail, and the Kentucky Horse Park. Property was as advertised, well appointed and clean. Walkable to restaurants - had wonderful brunch at Carson's. Check in/out was easy, owner helpful and responsive. We were there over Christmas, and he even set up a tree in the living room!

We had a birthday celebration with 8 family and friends staying at the house. This historic home was very cute. All the bedrooms had a bathroom, one of the bathrooms is in the back of the house and small. The house was clean & beds comfortable. It could use a deep clean, we tend to be picky, but overall, a comfortable home to take in all that Lexington has to offer.

Gregory is a great host. He was very responsive pre-arrival and during our stay. The house is very cool. A renovated beauty! Very nicely appointed, the pictures portray the house very well.
The house is located walking distance from parks, restaurants, and grocery stores. Very easy to get around town from this location. The working wood burning fire place was great to have. The kitchen is very well equipped.
Two of the three main house bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is a third full bathroom also in the main house. The upstairs garage apartment is very nice.
Will definitely try to stay here on all our trips to Lexington.

The Historic Brick Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. The five of us had great sleeping spaces with extremely comfortable beds and bed linens . The home is very clean and very well stocked with everything that one would need. The cottage is beautifully decorated . The outdoor space is a welcoming gathering place. Gregory the host is responsive and easy to communicate with. We look forward to booking this lovely home again.

We had 4 couples touring the bourbon trail and this was the perfect home base for us. It was a short walk to some great restaurants and downtown, and the house itself perfectly accommodated our group. Would certainly stay here again.

This was a spectacular home and location for our multi-purpose visit. Great starting point for our Bourbon Trail adventures. Wonderful are to head out to Keeneland for a day at the track. Close to Kroger Field for the football game. And just an all-around perfect place to rest and relax with friends after a busy day in the area.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Magnolia Cottage and would stay there again!!
The house is gorgeous—even lovelier than in the photos. And big!! Tons of room. We booked it partly because it offered 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We were a family group of four couples, so the bed and bath arrangement worked out perfectly. There are three bedrooms and bathrooms in the main house and a beautifully converted carriage house suite, just a few steps across the shady patio.
The home is furnished with wonderful antiques and fun, interesting pieces from the owners travels. It was built in 1890 and has the gorgeous high ceilings of that era. But it also has central A/C, which kept us super comfortable during the hot August days we were there.
We appreciated the plentiful towels and linens plus the soap, paper towels, dishwasher detergent and other extras that were there when we arrived. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms were all spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed (we were not there to cook). Everything was clean and ready for our arrival.
The location of this house is wonderful—a 5 minute drive from downtown Lexington, in a historic, shady, walkable, safe area. Also a 5 minute drive from Kroger. Plenty of street parking. Driveway very narrow.
The owner provided a ton of restaurant and other suggestions in advance of our stay, which was great. He was responsive and delightful to work with throughout our stay. Great host!

Tucked away in a charming historic neighborhood, a short walk from downtown, lies this gem of a home. The original floors and details paired with updated kitchen and bathrooms along with spacious living room addition make this home very comfortable and welcoming. So far my favorite experience in the 10 years I’ve been visiting Lexington for horse shows!

The check in process was awesome as Gregory walked us through the property and answered any questions. He also provided local dining recommendations - he was spot on with the ones we tried.

We come down to Lexington every year for my dads birthday to see Kentucky mens basketball play. The house was perfect, clean, had a ton of character. It was perfect for 6 of us with the carriage house. Location was perfect and Greg was extremely communicative, and kind! We will be back and can hopefully stay here again!
