This little lake front house is perfect for a quiet getaway. The owner is right next door but keeps to himself unless you need him. Joe was so kind to answer all our questions. He also let us use his private beach, lily pad, firewood and kayaks. I loved that the door to the house has a code for the lock so no keys to lose. The kitchen is fully stocked and all typical needed supplies were there-IE toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, cleaners, bath towels, hair dryer, garbage bags etc. The beds were very comfortable. Both bedrooms great size. One bedroom has two beds in it, (queen and full) the other one has just one queen. It was nice we were able to bring our dogs and there is a great green space for them. Of course I cleaned up after them and the garbage is right there for access to throw away. I had read some reviews about water pressure and issues but we had NO problems at all. Toilets were fine, shower wonderful and hot. We rented a couple boats from Jett Fun which is 5 minutes away and ate dinner at a couple cute restaurants in town. Everything about this quiet getaway met our expectations and more. Thank you so much Joe!!

If you’re looking for a peaceful and quiet setting, this is the place. This cute house is located just steps away from a beautiful lake. The house is well decorated and has everything you need for your stay. You can sit on the patio by day and around the campfire at night. Your host is next door and easy to communicate with.

To start off we didn’t receive any check in information. The owner sent us the details only after I called him on the eve of our travel and left a voice message. On arrival the property was not easy to find. He did mail me instructions on how to be to the house but it’s not very clear. The house looked fairly clean at first glance but after settling in we noticed a few things.
1. The sheets from a previous stay were changed and piled up in the laundry room. We thought at least the sheets were changed and maybe they didn’t get a chance to wash the old ones.
2. Absolutely no basic supplies. We have stayed in other homes and usually they have a few toilet paper rolls, salt/ pepper, hand wash at sinks, hand towels. None of that here. But we usually bring our own towels and we went grocery shopping at the nearest grocery store for the rest.
3. We noticed ants all over the place. And the bedrooms we not vacuumed or dusted and there we bugs collecting in corners and some were on the pillows.
4. Bathrooms- the toilets get blocked at every flush. No space in shower to keep anything.
5. The kitchen in general looked unused. Cups looks dirty. Plates were visionary dirty and we hand washed some before using.
6.Finally, we open the dishwasher to load the dishes we used for dinner and the dishwasher was full of dishes from a previous load. It has been sitting there for a while and you can see mound growing on some of the dishes.
We left very next morning.

Perfect little house on the lake, if you like peace and quiet and fishing you will not regret renting this property! The owner is very accommodating he does live on the property but you wouldn’t even know it. I plan to visit again in the upcoming year.

This guest house on the owner’s property was perfect for us. Very up to date and right on the lake! Two patios for us to use and views of the sunset were spectacular. We also found directions to access easy.

We had a great stay at this property. Everything was as advertised. We enjoyed the time at the local beach, kayaks and also rented from two different boat companies. My boys were disappointed that the fish weren't biting, but everything else was wonderufl.

We spent the weekend with another couple at the lake house. We loved sitting outside on the patio during the day and around the fire at night. We rented a boat nearby for the day. Beautiful, quiet spot with comfortable beds.

The house is a nice little house. The inside of the house was nice and clean but we spent the whole time outside. We were grilling on the fire pit, watching the boats go by and most of all the fishing. My kids loved going to the little beach they had there. Kids didn't want yo leave and nor the grown ups. The host is a nice gentlemen, made sure everything was ok. We would stay there again.

Awesome Lakehouse right on the Water
This home is amazing! It's right on the water with an incredible view. Inside has all the high end fixtures that anyone would love and outside is the Lake Life anyone will enjoy. We sat out on the patio every morning drinking coffee, watching the birds chirp and fly around, while the squirrels were jumping around the trees and fish were jumping on the water. We brought our own Stand up Paddle board, which we went out on the lake almost every morning while the water was so glassy and smooth. If you stay a week, the owner will allow you to use one of his many kayaks, which we did too. He has a little beach area for launching the Paddle Boards & kayaks or just play in the sand. Also, Rented a pontoon boat from Jett Fun on Fox Lake just up the road to really get that Lake Life feel. It was amazing. I highly recommend staying here...

The fire pit was also awesome!! The one thing that was a bit of a bummer…the water pressure! It was very limited…flushing a toilet meant no water in the rest of the place for 5 plus minutes. I would be back in a hot minute if that could get fixed 😊

Pure relaxation on lovely Myers Bay on Pistakee
This is a boathouse converted to a rental on owner's property, right on the lake, in a lovely, quiet bay, away from all the weekend crazies on the chain! The sunsets are gorgeous, home is completely freshly updated with modern appliances, air conditioning, and owner is accessible 24/7 if needed. We brought our 3 grown children and niece, and enjoyed every minute. Joe was the ultimate host, eager to answer questions and make recommendations. We rented boats from 2 different companies on the chain and were able to dock right in front of the house. The firepit was a highlight as well. Thank you Joe, we will be back!

We had a wonderful time. Joe was a great host. You could tell the house had recently been remodeled. The interior of the house was very clean. The exterior patios needed a bit of bug clean up, but nothing major. My only suggestion is for nicer patio furniture on the front porch and umbrellas on both porches. The sun is brutal.
He was very helpful in finding us a pontoon boat rental, which we were very happy with. He also allowed us to use his private beach and kayaks, which was not part of our contract, but highly appreciated with an active 7 year old.
I would absolutely recommend this house, and would consider a return visit.

This was our first time renting someone’s home. The experience went smoothly from start to finish with Joe. He answered any questions I had prior to arriving. Upon arrival, property was clean and as described. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well supplied for any cooking needs. Coffee pods were supplied also! Washer and dryer was a huge plus for me. Very spacious for our family of 4. Both bedrooms are very large. Outdoor space was great for fishing, relaxing by fire pit. Plenty of sunny and shady areas. Boat rentals are nearby. Despite covid, we found outdoor dining close to the house. Joe checked in numerous times during our stay. Best part of our stay was bringing our 2 boxers! That saved us finding someone to watch them. Our overall experience was perfect. We will definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

Joe's property is great. It is in a wonderful quiet location and is clean and tidy. Although we had an issue with the code on the door, Joe was quick to provide us with a key. Great to be able to bring our dogs along.
